Maybe this isn't the right thread for this quesstion but since that interview is the subject now of this discussion, does anyone know if Mari Gilbert ever got Shannan's death certifcate??? TIA.

I thought it was said that they haven't, which is crazy because the family would need it since SG had pending litigation. They need the death certificate to legally close that ordeal and I don't believe the SCPD could deny them the certificate because of this.

Hey people ..First off iam not at all caught up on all this stuff but when i seen the name of the thread I wanted to chyme in. I didn't even think It was possible to do something like this . Maybe its because of the years gone by and changes to the law , Or maybe its because of the different locations , different states but I thought it was agains't the law to keep the body . On the police side of things i mean...The reason This even got my attention is because I followed the JBR case and there too the LE tried to do something very similar. Maybe this is something totally different , Maybe iam miss understanding something I just thought it sounded like the same kinda deal Le tried to pull on the rameys when they were accused of kidnapping JBR's remains almost for a ransom in which the LE would let them have her body back if they would come in together for a interview. John and patsy's attourneys accused the LE with trying to use JNR as a negotiating tool....I AM prolly way off on this case but it brought that situation to mind .....

Hey I wonder if the lady off that television show has ever been asked if she could help..I forget her name but she is on TLC I think they call her The Long Island Medium .It's On tv like every week Iam sure you know the lady iam talking about I know theres alot of different oppinions about Physics but whats the woarst that could happen she has no info and were allready at that point now so nothing to loose....

As far as I know, she is still laying in a refrigerator at the Medical Examiner's Office in Happague

If MG is Using a body as a pawn or for donations, well she showed her true colors.

That would actually be pretty horrible. But then again in a way maybe he should pay. It's not like he doesn't know anything. Weather it was Pak JB SG's boyfriend or anyone who put him up to calling her....He obviously new something and then lied about calling her.
But I am actually kind of surprised that no one has offered to help for a 2nd autopsy.

Legal strategy? Are you honestly accusing MG of being THAT horrible a person? These girls didn't come from money.

For all WE know, it's actually the Suffolk County ME holding her body hostage. Geez!

Oh I see. I could of swore I read that it was SG mother who was keeping her body there to get a 2nd autopsy done. But she didn't have the money. I'm about 99% sure I read that. But I don't have links and really don't feel like going and find them so I just can't say it as fact...but I am pretty sure that is the case.
