The woman, Sheri Coleman, removed her name Oct. 6 from the deed of the house, located at 2854 Robert Drive, according to Monroe County recorder of deed's records. She signed before a notary. Whether the action was related to debt-managment was unavailable. Coleman and her husband, Chris Coleman, 32, led a church-based personal finance class from their home earlier this year.

There was a case out of Memphis several years ago where the husband's girlfriend pretended to be his wife. They sold the house out from under the wife. Something similar might have happened with the removal of the wife's name from the deed!

One thing that I do know is that the "killer/invader" entered through the walkout basement window. It looked as though the window was open (not broken/forced entry...it just looked like the screen was torn.

If this is true, it gives more credence to the possibility of someone else being involved. Someone could have entered the home and hidden in the basement.

Thinking more about this. If the perp is not CC, then it is someone who knew his habits well enough to know he worked out every morning. I've been thinking about the call from CC to the cop and how it looks so very suspicious (and I agree, it does) But I am also a believer in the Holy Spirit (or call it intuition if you will). I've experienced that "nudging" that happens when your are attuned to it - and also a near tragedy because of not heeding it.

If Chris was distracted with other things (things he shouldn't have been involved in), he could have let his guard down regarding the earlier threats. When he couldn't reach his wife, it may have truly raised a red flag. But if it was the Spirit that nudged him, I will bet my little finger he had a warning not to leave. I don't mean to get religious, just that this is how they would have perceived and known things as "Spirit Filled Christians".

That same spiritual tradition (in my simplified attempt to portray) teaches that the enemy gains a foothold because we let "him" in through sin, which is a big word for bad choices. There is undoubtedly a bad choice that started this tragedy in motion. . . and someone knows what it was.

I found Sheri's bro Mario's myspace and one of her GF's. Nothing important that I can tell - but I'm still looking for connections.

I know I've only seen reported "I told you this would happen" I just saw it again this morning. If I run across a link I'll post it.

It was also discussed that this would be an accurate statement coming from an abusive husband who had made threats in the past.

Also, I know that if you have a security system with window sensors, you have to manually bypass the open windows to set the system. I know I've gone to set systems in the past and it would alert me to exactly which window was open. So if this is the case, you would know a window was open.

Sheri Coleman's family gets court order

CHESTER, Ill. • The bodies of murder victims Sheri Coleman and her two sons were taken to a cemetery here this afternoon, placed over graves, but then put back in a hearse and returned to a funeral home.

To comply with a court order obtained Friday by Sheri Coleman's family, the bodies will be taken to Chicago for a memorial service Monday, then returned Tuesday to Chester for final burial.

I would prefer to learn that someone else was responsible for this so... I've entertained thoughts that just maybe someone was jealous of Chris at work, maybe someone who was also in security. I've also entertained that maybe some job he took in his own company put him on surveillance of some really bad people. Either way...there could have been someone really sucking on an "I'll get my vengeance" root. That being the case...I go back to thinking about the "I told you this would happen."

That would seem to indicate that the threats told Chris that they were going after his wife and kids i.e. I told "you" <----

Well, I know that a person's faith can get them saying, "I just have to trust God on this." On the other hand, when you are in the security business, you also know that "securing" things is a wisdom, faith and practicality work nicely together. So...look at that house? Just how secure does it look? It is open on every side.

I ask myself, did someone look at those threats and say, "Oh this is nonsense" or "Well, we can't do anything to help you unless they make a move" (I've heard that before.) Well -- if those threats indicated the possible killing of the wife and kids, I can hardly imagine not getting them the heck out of there until the person making the threats was busted. There had to be a thousand places they could have gone for shelter and safety. Or, if not getting them out of there, battening the hatches VERY tightly and immediately. Judging from the number of people they knew and that they were known to help others, I just can't hardly believe that a few phone calls wouldn't have gotten some tight friends over and wiring that house, setting it up with every alarm system under the sun and in a day's time. So...the threats weren't taken very seriously -- I'm not sure I get that? Or maybe they were just threats that the house would be broken into and that's why things were not taken very seriously?

Oh...which reminds me. Supposedly there were armed guards at the house where they used to live? Could that be because security personnel are given that house and that the threats were against numerous security personnel not just Chris? Could it be that they had a good idea who was making the threats, thus they knew who to suspect and have him/her being watched 24/7 and that is why it was stated that Chris is not being tracked (or whatever the words were exactly.) Maybe they are just waiting to button this up very very tight before arresting that person.

One young man mentioned going to the funeral in one of the articles that I read, it seems that these were all three closed caskets? Does anyone know for sure?

If that was the case, I was trying to understand why -- numerous thoughts there but it could just be that they do not believe in open caskets, but why call it "a viewing" then? Maybe just so that those not able to go to the private service could pay their respects in some way.

Then, supposedly, there has been a rumor (supposedly a family member said it) that they would not be buried today? Well, that may be due to wanting more time to examine the bodies OR it could be for other reasons, like a discussion over where they will be buried. Either way it has me scratching my head.

All together, I am anxiously awaiting the perp being arrested and word that there is a tight case against them.

As someone from Sheri's family up in Chicago, I can tell you that we are not all sitting here suspecting Chris. Yes, as the other poster said, it is true Chris did not call Sheri's family....but I see that as being immature and not knowing what to say. We are all deeply, deeply saddened by this tragedy. It is very tough on a lot of people and our hearts are broken. But we are not posting bad things about Chris or posting assumptions. they seem to be leaning at the moment at the husband, i base that on the statement from LE, they are not asking the public for suspects......but rather want to chat with anyone whom had contact with the family.......another words , i take that as meaning, checking to see if at anytime the wife may had told someone she was afraid, concerned etc about the husband?..............or perhaps there just trying to elimnate him totally as a subspect before moving on to another POI.......but right now, i sense the husband as being the center of the investigation, and they are working themsleves outward from there...........and instead of painting on the wall, i would not be surprised, if it was blood instead........i have a feeling, the crime scene is more horrific then what has been released.................

They are searching that lake! Bout time! I hope they search the shores really well too -- wish they had done it the first day, with dogs.

Someone earlier mentioned why I asked "where are the dogs." Well, for some reason, I felt sure that the dogs would yield some information or articles. Am I dreaming about the ability of dogs?

So where are our dog people? We have so many people in this site that are knowledgeable. IF Chris had done this (IF), might a dog have detected a cadaver scent in his car? i.e. if he did it, then got in his car and went somewhere (like to the gym)? On the other hand, as a K-9 handler in the past, would he have known something to "spray" in the car to confuse or trip the dogs up? And...if there is something that a K-9 handler would know to spray or spread to confuse dogs, could the house have been treated with it too (in the carpeting or on the wall where the painting was done)? If so, and if it would be found, that could sure seem like a hint couldn't it? I mean how many people would know to use that to cover their tracks from dogs, should they be brought in?

And if this was not Chris, certainly the perp left their scent in the house? Couldn't a dog follow that to "somewhere" that could yield some hints? And let's say that person used the lake to get there and get away, would a dog be able to pick up that person's scent wherever the perp exited the lake? If so, maybe someone saw someone exit the lake or a car parked there for a while?

Oh...and another loose thought... If this was Chris, might he have been a bow and arrow hunter like his brother appears to have been? Might a bow string have been used for strangulation? Might one be missing from a bow at the house? Might an arrow have been shot out into the lake to send evidence away from the crime scene?

Now then... Since there were threats that have been noted, did Sheri talk to her family and friends about these? OR might she have been told she couldn't talk about them?

I'm still scratching my head on this deed thing. Why would she take her name off of the deed. Just what benefit would that be?

Why would Chris Coleman agree to a Chicago service and then back out? Did he realize that he would be expected to attend? Was the thought of facing Sheri's family more than he could deal with? This is probably the most telling revelation yet!
