Thank you for this link, Lovejac.
Because this is the only media outlet that gives the timing of the husband/father obtaining the services of a defense attorney just hours after discovering his dead family, I might question their accuracy, as I've seen misreporting before. Even the AP. But this reporter said his attorney is the one who told her he'd hired them 'just hours after' the murders.
This is my 'hook,' regarding his guilt, in MY OPINION.
There is NO WAY an innocent person, in a situation of discovering their entire family murdered, would hire an attorney to protect their rights. That would be the furthest thing from their mind. The ONLY thing they'd be thinking of is 'who did this?' and 'I want justice for my loved ones!'
Sorry, my sympathy for him is gone. My personal vow at political correctness is gone, 'innocent until proven guilty.' This isn't a court of law and I think he's guilty.
Why? I want to know why? Why not a divorce? and.........WHY the children?
OMG.........
JMHO

I have tried to distance myself and try to look at CCs side for obtaining a lawyer and I really think he obtained one days after, not hours after but on that I am sure we will learn more as this case progresses. The media misspeaks quite often now.
I just think in today's times it makes it plausible even for an innocent person to obtain a lawyer because it seems the media and the internet pretty much think right away that the husband is the killer whether he is or not. So obtaining a lawyer may be the reasonable thing to do whether he is innocent or guilty.
However; I am leaning toward that he did do this rather than didn't but I am not fully convinced yet. It seems LE would have been able to refute by now if the threatening letters were just a fake ruse and setup by CC. Also getting a comparison sample of his handwriting could be easy and quick to obtain in order to compare it with the message left behind on the walls.
It sure doesn't seem to be a case like some we have seen before where the husband is arrested immediately for the murder of their wife and/or children. So LE is searching for something that connects the perp to the crime and since the case is still ongoing with no arrest yet they are still searching for it, imo.
The asking of CC fingerprints doesn't alarm me. It is SOP. They know his fingerprints will be all over the home he lived in but they have to have his so they can exclude his and separate them from any other fingerprints found there by others that did not live in the home.
