I didn't know that the mailbox was tampered with until that morning, when the nighbors told me after the cops were there. It doesn't look tampered with, unless that means that it was opened and a threat or osmething was inside of the mailbox. Like I said before, it looks like someone beat it with a bat a few times.

Hello All,

I think everyone better go get their empty dog food bags, you know the big ones -- the ones where you can insert the upper half of your bodies in them to start puking, and just keep puking and never exceed the bag limits (something I saw on a ferry in the UK).

Soon, I don't think that any of us are going to learn anything we don't partially or wholly expect, but I think that most of us are still going to want a nice sack to fill -- because we have had this sickness rising and nauseating us since the morning of the 5th.

Just IMHO, for some reason, I don't believe LE is taking the alleged threats and tampering with the mailbox very seriously. In the initial statements, when LE was asked about the threats etc., they appeared to down-play them. IF they thought they were important, they would have most likely brought it up so that anyone who knew anything might step forward.

No, instead, after a day or two they're asking anyone who knew the Colemans to talk to them.

Sounds like a message to me..................bet Chris' lawyer heard it loud and clear!

I agree with you, Wrinkles, I know the local security people personally and because my last business did a big deal with them. But you woudl figure that someone within the same business would be able to get instant help. The issue is, that many of us was wondering about is actually two things: 1, wouldn't you want to get an alarm system as soon as this happened? 2, if any of you had threats against you, or family, placed into yoru mailbox, wouldn't you, say, move to a new house or at least go away and let the cops investigate the threats? My wife told me that if we were getting threats, she would leave and find another place to live for bit. The fact that they didn't get a system or didn't move away, makes it more seem that CC did it. (Or someone in the family)

I totally agree and with JMM having so many houses you would think one in a secret location would have been offered to the family since threats were because of his job.At the very least you would have alarm system installed and a lot of cameras maybe even hooked up to tv so you could keep and eye on whats going on outside.Also i would have a camera concealed so perp would not know(unless he was the installer)there is a recording being made.For the head of security he is not to good keeping people secured is he?

It was taken off yesterday afternoon.Some body has been busy erasing their tracks but it was already sent to Le by a smart WS member.I am sure Le made a copy to use if needed.

Just a hunch... but the mailbox tampered with story IMO is just that... a story!!! To explain away why the camera was pointed at the mailbox and not the house. Then after the fact he thought better of it and voila, the dvr is mysteriously gone that recorded activity at the mailbox. How would an unknown perp know a camera was pointed at the mailbox? Especially one that records to a dvr or a computer - those suckers are tiny. I'd bet you $100 you could never find mine. And who with young boys doesn't have a mailbox that has been beaten with a bat, golf club, stick, etc... I know mine has taken some abuse.

If threats were really being received could you care less about the mailbox; and not more about catching someone on your property near your house? This "story" just has holes all over it that stink like swiss chesse.

Is it true that both vehicles for the Coleman family were registered in Chris Coleman's name? Sheri's name wasn't on them?

Anyone who's been around Websleuth any length of time knows where I'm going with this.

Anyway, if anyone local can find this out, it would be appreciated.

True. I need to know to drive DH to work so I have the car, as this isn't my week to have it. But, still, DH is into this as well, so I could have probably got him to take off early and come along!

I'm not sure if you can access IL DMV records on line or not - Missouri you can't; but I do know the Colemans took both cars with them yesterday - or at least that's what one of the stations (Fox maybe) said this morning. Don't know why they were in such a hurry to get both cars out of there, along with a trailer full of stuff.... seems a bit odd & premature to me.

Nope, we can't find out without running the personal information of the owners through the system and my friend doesn't want to do that with the nature of this case. He did give me an earload of rumors that he heard, but since they are rumors I don't want them here... maybe the PL?

I'm joined WS for the Caylee case (was in Orlando when it all went down), and haven't been a very active posted so don't know all the rules... just know rumors are a no-no.
