OMG.... Bale type things!

Thinking of Bale wire here. If he used bale wire to strangle them with he may have nearly cut their heads off with it. It's very thin and strong.

I also saw a stack of straw by the back door of the house in videos. About 4 bales stacked up.

Some people still use bale wire in the area but it could have been bale rope also around the bales of straw.

Hello Gang

EWW EWW EWWWWWW....

first, here are some of my notes -- I found and listened to the press conf.

======
one person involved
not random, actually intended to kill the 3 members
evidence - state's attorney (discussed throughout the week)
defer charges until further forensics and/or documents, reports
don't want to jump to anything - this is very serious
put public at ease, was not random act
anticipating charges in the future, when forensics come in - anticipate an arrest

"at this point" there is no one around Mr. Coleman
not talking about mr. coleman, I'm not listing as a suspect

not saying whether there are concerns the individual will leave the area (the one they believe did it)

investigation went to Chicago, Florida, Missouri, Springfield, all types of areas

Asked about "Bale type things, brought into the building" -- were those related to the investigation? He would not comment.

Not commenting about that person - i.e. are they being watched

Evidence we've collected, around Interstate 255, we believe there was evidence discarded along this route -- if someone saw something -- maybe along the bridge, let them call us.

Waiting on official cause of death forensics, pathologist, probably wait for coroner's inquest for that.

There was a meeting with the state's attorney -- anticipated the possiblity there would be charges today - decided to defer, wait a little longer. They were ready to present the case to state's attorney today -- he wanted to analyze information submitted.

Asking anyone for anything they might have seen prior to the discovery of the bodies -- discovered around 6:51AM

looking for anything "out of the ordinary" -- asking them to please call.

how confident are you that after analysis ... state attorney will file charges: confident case will be solved (after further analysis)

Asked of Major Conner:
Is it fair characterization to say you know who did this --
Our investigation, to me, reveals who's responsible for these deaths. I'll leave it at that.
======

BALE TYPE THINGS? BALE TYPE THINGS BROUGHT INTO THE BUILDING? LIKE TARGETS FOR BOWS AND ARROWS? Like maybe with a similar spray paint on them or ?

Hello Analytical,

You wrote:
>>Which camera is being referred to? Was the camera aimed at the mailbox the one in question? Someone posted a page or so back that it's believed the "guts" of the camera were found in the lake behind the home and there is the rumor about the DVR being found under or around the bridge along 255.<<

Guts of a camera in the lake? I didn't see that -- do you know where you saw that?

There was a camera, "under the roof covering the front door" -- that could be seen in pictures "way back." Supposedly this camera was trained on the mailbox -- which, if I recall correctly, was at the front, left side of the driveway as you enter it. Gads, I'm so sorry that ArtieG's graphics didn't come in on my screen when he posted them :(

I can't imagine where a camera whose guts were thrown into a lake might have been in the house -- maybe indoors? I believe that ArtieG mentioned a camera trained on the mailbox, and one on the lake.

Can you find where that was -- the camera guts in a lake? Or do I have to do my danged diligence again ;)

Also ArtieG, is there anyway that family had bales of hay targets set by the lake that were used for bow and arrow practice? Or are arrows for that type of practice too valuable to loose in lake, or might there have been a backboard where most wouldn't be? (judging relatively well trained archers?)

Oh and ArtieG -- thanks for coming in here and hanging with us, I know this whole thing must really be an upset to your lovely neighborhood, one that should never be upset by anything such as this.

W

I've never seen bales for target practice in their yard, but I don't see their back yard each day.

It is a slight upset, especially if they do not arrest CC or a family member. All of everything does point to him. I just want to know what the actual evidence was.

Begging for a link to a video of the news conference today. I went to one that was posted and all there was was a state senator blabbing. I went to another, didn't get anything.

Could someone post me a "definite" link to the news conference video?

Thanks a ton

W

This one works for me:

within the last previous pages, I believe

first time I'd read anywhere of the discovery of anything other than the rumored DVR

I know I did a post, not too long ago and if you just copy and paste, you can see the pictures I have here:

P1010115 on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

But you can see the camera and it is still attached. I heard that they had a camera facing the lake. If that is true, maybe it is that back camera that was torn up. Either way, if it wasn't CC or a family member, who would dare enter a subdivision with 3 cops, two state troopers and a police detective and murder the wife of a marine, who happened to be a marine herself?

At the above link:

>>He said evidence was discarded on Interstate 255 and investigators are asking for anyone who saw something unusual before 6:50 a.m. on May 5 to call police.<<

Hmmm...now ain't that a pistol! (or a paint can, or pair of gloves, or shoe string)

W

or the dvr from the camera

Okay you'ze guys!!!

These "bale type things" that were mentioned being brought in at the conference...just how might those connect to anything?

My first thought would be, do you use a spray paint to paint targets on those? Could that spray paint at a target at the home be linked to the spray paint in the crime?

Which one of you sleuther's found that littlesheric bow hunting thing? Might you have given them a GREAT tip to have looked at?

I recall asking, were there targets towards the lake, maybe something the children shot at? Or maybe these were somewhere else and picked up -- on a Coleman property?

What could those bales be used for? The paint, a hunter wouldn't leave a bow hanging on one of those would he -- not outdoors? Maybe one with a string missing?

AND, I very much remember one of the guestbook people, sorely grieved, mentioning -- as if they were talking to one of the children -- that they would never step in the way of a target again.

Target...TARGET? Spray paint? Anything else?

W

That a good theory. I wonder if they can connect that kind of thing back to a particular bow like the do with bullet casings? I wouldn't think that that would be possible but these days you never know. He is putting his bro in big time hot water even if he was not involved. I wonder if LE went to go talk to him.

Hello Gang...

SeriouslySearching TOTE THAT BALE :) oops I mean, I hope you find those graphics with bales :blowkiss:

Medusa, you wrote:
>>I saw a clip on the news of a cop caring a bale thing - it was white, covered in what looked like plastic tape, maybe red. I didn't pay that much attention. Would have been on Fox 2.<<

Medusa, can you find this? I would like to see the size of these things, particularly in reference to what SS finds.

ALSO, everyone...this whole "paint thing" makes me sick when I think of the rumors of paint on the beautiful people we have lost. Is it possible that paint like that could carry something in it that could cause a person to pass out -- rendering them helpless to a strangling or other means of murder?

I can't get past paint being rumored not just on the wall and wonder what role it might play :(

W

EDITED: could something have been put in the paint to sedate someone?

Hay bales are often used as backstops for archery targets - the references to Brother Deer Strangler made me think of this fact...

You're quicker on the draw than I am. Do you know if they can match a particular bow string to a particular type of bow?

I wonder if a bow string could leave any trace evidence behind on Sheri or the boys. I hope that he knocked them out before he did it. What kind of monster would do this to his family?

Artie... can you see if there are still bales of straw near the back door. They were on the right side of the house if you are looking at the house from the lake.

If they are still there do you have the nerve to go look and see if they are wired or rope binded?

There was about 4 bales or more stacked up there.

Did they grow any new grass recently in their yard or do they have a veggie garden that they might use straw to cover the veggie bed with to keep weeds down.

I did notice the straw bales were discolored and that happens when they sit outdoors over winter. (the straw gets grayish)

Thanks for the photo links, Artie.

And yesterday I asked you if the houses for sale are all ower-occupied and what is the proximity of the house under construction to the Coleman house?

If it's true that the "guts" of a camera were found in the lake, it had to be a camera from the back of the home lending support to the entry from the rear through the window where there was reported to be no signs of forced entry.

Then the suspect may have left on foot and tossed the "guts" into the lake.

Artie .. if on foot, how far would the suspect have to travel on foot to get to a parked car or an accomplice waiting from him in a vehicle?

nancy has it on.................think maybe they figure with it on tv now maybe more leads will come in?maybe thats why they are waiting.

Hello All,

SewingDeb,
So good to see you :blowkiss:

I cannot get those links -- I see photo not available?

HALP?

In the meanwhile, SeriouslySearching and Medusa, did you two find those graphics?

Hmmm, I just seriously hope that anything on those bales, whatever was on them (and if they were carried into the police) shows SPECIFIC information, not maybes. If these were "trash can bales" or "target bales" I just HOPE that the evidence on them works to help box the murderer in.

W

PS. Hey Adnoid, good to see you in here. Yup...any type of archery makes me think of hay bales -- there are a few at our neighbors! Used them when I was a kid... But do people use certain types of spray paint on them these days instead of the old pin-up bulls eyes?

Nancy has on about the colemans

Oh DaisyF,

You could be righter -- did the Coleman family have a trash bailer in their home? It was "trash day that day." Did the police grab bails of trash in their trash can. Good thinking. I could be completely wrong -- that is why I asked.

What could these "bales" mean?

W

Edit: bailer = baler (misspelling?)

I don't know. IIRC they did mention that they found clothes that were possibly linked to the killer in a neighbor's dumpster. Its possible that they are looking at other dumpsters to see if he tossed anything else out. Artie Gumshoe, are any of your neighbors missing their garbage cans?

  • #159
I am really glad to hear that. The thought he could take off just makes me sick.

I don't think that he is going anywhere, but I wonder if they took his passport.

No and I have checked every darn slideshow on every darn news site. (Maybe Chester and I both saw them on a video~)

The bales are used for Halloween decorations, too. ;)
