Thanks, that it is a nasty band coming through. My weather warning radio has been going off like crazy. Everything is fine right now.

I telling ya Chester really gets hit hard each year. The warm and cold fronts always meet right over us. I have some great severe weather photos that I have taken.

Check out my photos here of a huge low layered wall cloud I caught with my camera.

Thanks for sharing the pics. That's a nasty looking wall cloud. Be safe

This is where in my mind that I look at some of the background noise, (rumor). IMHO, I believe he planned on killing Sheri, ie the 'threats' etc., but I'm NOT sure about the boys (being in the ORIGINAL plan).

I've seen it mentioned two places, one said that Sheri and the oldest boy put up a fight and that they showed signs of more injury than just strangulation and then today I saw it said for at least one of the boys, that he'd put up a fight.

It's possible he planned Sheri, was rushed into it at an inopportune time because she may have forced his hand because of the adultry, AND one of the boys may have awoken during the commission of his assault on Sheri and he felt he had no choice.

Just an idea,
fran

This really, really pains me to talk about the actual crime. :(

Is it possible that while killing the wife, one of the boys interrupted? Then, he was forced to simply kill them all?

Personally, I don't think this is the case. I think he planned to kill the boys too; maybe not initially, but at some point his planning involved killing everyone.

This guy is selfish and inconsiderate. His infidelity, and his actions toward his wife's family (i.e., not notifying them for 2 days, forcing them to get a court order so they could see her before the burial) show us that much.

Does anyone know how long Sheri's parents have been divorced and how long she lived with her dad after they got their divorce? I know she went to high school in Florida where he lives.

Since her biological father did come to the graveside services in Chester and did leave flowers for his daughter and his grandsons, it makes me wonder how often did Sheri see her mother? Was she closer to her mother or was she closer to her father?

Has the biological father come out complaining about things being taken from the Coleman home?

Just wondering....if anyone knew the relationship between Sheri and her bio mom.

Why would JMM care? It seems to me if they had someone like this in their fold they would want them exposed and due punishment given to insure that their followers know they do not condone actions this horrific by anyone. He was just an employee of JMM. I don't see the church involved other than that.

imo

I agree. All this talk about the JMM is a waste of time! I'm betting they wish this had never happened, as it is bad PR for them, since he was an employee.

I've read some wild scenarios about him having an affair with Joyce, about Joyce being spurned by him and paying someone to commit the crimes, etc. Also, people have discussed what kind of car her son drives and her supposed $20,000 toilet. How is that even relevant to this discussion?!? All that is pure garbage by people with an axe to grind. Let it go already!

If, and that is a big IF, he was truly threatened for being an employee of JMM then there is a little bigger connection. But, that still does not reflect poorly on Joyce or the ministry.

They do crush them when they pick them up. Not sure how large the "bundles" are tho.
I don't know anything about them, never had one, but could that be from a garbage compactor (if that's even what they are called?) I know what I am trying to think of and perhaps that's not actually what they are called, but they smoosh your trash into a little bale type thingy. (Yeah, I know, pretty technical terminology, huh?)

Respectully snipped :)

A good question came up on the news tonight. Just how often did CC call and check on his wife and kids when he went to the gym? What are his calling patterns?

Doesn't it seem odd, that he starts calling after he leaves the house, as if he doesn't trust his wife to get their older children up and ready for school?

I get up at 6 AM every morn to make sure my son and I are off by 7:05. My husband leaves very early and has never called me to ask if my son is up for school.

Geeeezzzzz......

Mel

If he was so concerned for their safety, why did he even go to the gym in the first place.

Another thing that has bothered me. the window was open, and it wasn't forced. Why woud he leave that window unlocked if they were threatened?

My husband is anal about checking the doors several times before we go to bed (and I'm bad about leaving the keys in the door drives him crazy). So when I have the windows open which isn't often here in the heat he checks every window to make sure we locked it back.

So if he is in Security you would think he would be smart enough to lock a window.

yeah im with ya on that - think if they knew he did something horrible and noone but them knew they might try to keep the lid on it, but i think they would be risking to much if they try too hard to make this go away...

I think the defense wouldn't have a problem with your first question. They would simply respond, "What, would he never leave their house at all?" He has to make a living, go shopping, etc. From his vantage point, if the threats were real he did what he was supposed to do; namely, report it to the police. In fact, he even went a step further and installed a security camera.

What I don't get, is that if CC felt the need to install a camera, why just put one in the front? It would make more sense to have one somewhere in the back, where a person hiding in the woods - and more concealed - could enter the home more easily than from the front.

As for the window, we never heard it was left open. Police indicated it was not forced, which I would assume meant not broken and/or no crowbar was used to pry it open. The screen was damaged. So, I'd assume that it was left unlocked but not necessarily left open.

I agree with you, if you feel the threats are serious enough to (1) report them to the police and (2) install surveillance equipment, I'd think you would make sure that the windows / doors were always locked. However, with 2 young boys and cool spring weather, it is possible that locking one was overlooked. I know my wife and I are neurotic about our windows, but I found our front window unlocked a few weeks ago. We still don't know how that happened.

Coleman has had eight days for reality to set in.
Are you for real? So you think eight days is more than enough time for someone to get past their grief after their family has been brutally murdered?

I've grieved longer than that from the loss (by normal causes) of a pet!

Okay, gonna sit on my hands now..........

You know that being said... I just wonder how many times mommy and daddy the pastor have bailed him out? that statement reminded me of the time my brother-in-law went to jail for failure to appear and got no bond. My MIL told him on the phone "well son you have really done it now. I can not get you out of this one" though she tried like he!!, and still gives him money when he's has an issue. Give me a break he's 41 freaking yrs old!! anyhow rant over.

Regarding the Springfield MO connection that MCS mentioned at Wednesday's presser I found this article:

Investigation Into Columbia Triple Murder Broadens:
Family's Former Home In Missouri Now Being Looked Over By Cops

http://www.fox2now.com/ktvi-triple-murder-9p-050609,0,4426293.story

St. Louis County = Springfield

Don't know why they had armed guards there though... This doesn't of course rule out CC having affairs here.:)

Springfield, MO is about 2 hours from what is considered St. Louis County. They are not the same.

I'm way behind, as usual (stupid work anyway) but I don't know how much handwriting analysis would help with spray painting?

The threatening notes, YES!

I suppose it would depend upon how they were written. And I am referring to both the notes and the message on the wall.

If CC wrote them, he'd have to be a total idiot to not type those messages. My guess is they were not hand written. But, I don't really know and I'm not sure any of us do at this point.

As for the paint, I think spatter evidence might be more damning - if they get any on his clothes, in his car, etc.

I would expect no less than CC's family to stick by his side, regardless of whether the father is a pastor or not. Like it or not, it is still "innocent until proven guilty" in this country. We all point the finger at CC, including myself, but he has not been found guilty yet.

Hell, he hasn't even been charged yet!

I wonder if Sheri figured it out? If he was writing them by hand she would've been able to tell. Or maybe she found them on the computer.

Hopefully they seized the computer he had acess to on the job also.

I would think they would be able to compare the spray painted words to his hand writing. Even writing with spray paint you would make the tails on your letter the same. like some people curve the bottom of their y back up, some leave a stick, and make a striaght line. Also the way you slant your letters too. may not be exactly like you handwriting but it will be very similar.

Just reflecting on this newsnote:

>>Investigators say one person is responsible in last week's killings of a woman and her two children in their southwestern Illinois home. <<

WOOPSIE! what happened to a possible accomplice (other than the one person's own hands??) ONE PERSON!!

OH...and I want to know if all of those neighborhood construction workers have been profiled, particularly the one that had to go wizz (this is a joke folks, ignore it -- I'm just having a laugh at myself and hopefully along with the folks who read my CWDI message.)

W

PS. ChesterGal, where are you and what is the extra "cop car" kinda presence where you are?

I suppose anything is possible. With so much news lately about police seizing the computers of suspects, I cannot imagine - unless he was a computer expert himself - that he would have used his computer for typing the messages from home or work. Then again, who knows?

My biggest concern is this: Since he has not been named a suspect, I doubt the police have his home or work computer. Such a delay would provide him with ample time to either destroy evidence.

When I read that he has an affair, I thought about how police could access his personal and work e-mail accounts. But I don't think they would do this until he was named a suspect. Thus, allowing him ample time to destroy incriminating messages, etc.

Bummer, huh?

Hello OceanBlueEyes,

You might be interested in page 18, message 426 (I think I have this right) -- posted by ChesterGal.

This refers to a posting on Sheri's guestbook -- the author appears to be her dad.

The message in the guestbook begins:

>>May 13, 2009
Sheri,
I will miss you forever. ... <<

W

Thank you so much, Wrinkles.

I truly believe that is one of the most heartfelt posts that I can ever remember reading. What a beautiful family Sheri had and they were so proud of her and the boys, as they should be.

Just reading it made tears stream down my face.

I cannot imagine their pain or loss.
