SS, add that CC lawyered up the first day. And a court order needed for fingerprints.

I only remember seeing the target bales out in the back once or twice. I know that it sounds safe shooting a bow and arrow towards a lake, but there were houses behind the narrow stretch of lake and the families did have kids. So, I don't think this was something they did all of the time. I do know, for a fact, that they have a large trampoline, one of those 10-15 foot diameter ones that are about 3 feet off of the ground. This took up most of their backyard and was on teh opposite side of the "window that was not forced open".

That's the one that gets me. I mean, I can see getting an attorney at some point because obviously they are going to look at you as a suspect, but within hours of the murders???

I said soemthing earlier trying to make a point about a white guy traveling into the more dangerous parts of stl city, where most of the population is black and there is a lot of crime, and I got complaints about my statement. So, I wanted to make sure I didn't offend any ninjas or anyone who thinks I was making fun of the japanese or chinese or any other culture that has used ninjas.

SS..

Another thing we know, LE has only interviewed CC once... the day of the murders. I would think there would have been several interviews in a case of this magnitude. Heck, I'd be camped out at the PD begging them to talk to me to try to gain any info I could provide.

Has anybody found the link to the pics that were taken the day of the murders? They were out there somewhere and I wanted to look at them again, but having no luck. TIA
I don't believe we know for certain how many times he was interviewed. Major Connor mentioned during NG last night that he was being interviewed during the 2 days when discussing how long it took to notify her mother of the deaths. They would have taken his initial statement at the crime scene and we know he hired his attorney hours after the crime. It would indicate he was also interviewed after that time, imo.

If you go back to the first pages of thread #1, you will find the links to the ealier photos and articles. :) They were on several news sites, but I saw them yesterday so they should be still up.

Not buying that one! The father wrote about his daughter, and stated in there about her mother and brother seeing them on a weekly basis and talking to them almost daily. Someone posted a copy of it a few pages back. The father has been astranged from Sheri for a while is what I understood from the letter he wrote. It was very touching.
NO, I wasn't buying it either. I was making the point that was what the poster whose post was brought over from another forum was trying to make, not that itt was true by any means.

Just hadda set that straight.

Okay, carry on!!

I do understand what you're saying, Analytical. But, LE really doesn't need to document such a thing. It is standard operating procedure, from what I've seen, for LE to accumulate fingerprints and DNA evidence from every person residing at a crime scene so they can pinpoint any stranger DNA or prints. I have never seen a case where LE got a court order for evidence from someone who was not suspect and cooperating. In fact, I don't even think there was a court order in the Scott Peterson case. He was simply asked to give evidence and did even though they honed in on him as a suspect from the get go.
May I ask you, do you think LE is looking at Chris as a suspect? Or do you think they are looking at someone else. Thanks.

someone else .. and I don't believe Peterson was represented by counsel, was he?

:laugh::laugh::laugh:
Would that make the perp a bale bailer or a hay hauler? Perhaps a stack stalker? hehehe

More like a "Straw Man" (sorry, groan, I know). Seriously, have we learned anything further re "evidence" recovered from I-255 that authorities searched near Jefferson Barracks Bridge? Once again trying to catch up, TIA

Actually, the father said they saw Sheri and her family often and talked to them weekly on the phone. ;)

It was very a very touching post from her father.

Hey, for a non-native you seem to know Chester pretty well!

Honestly it did not take me long after I moved here many many years ago to figure out how the people are in this town. It was a big let down as I was hoping to gain some new close relationships with people after I moved here. That never happened.

I live here now because I have to at this point in my stage of life but as soon as I am able to get out of Chester I will. I do love the scenery around here and the other small towns in the area.

I have to wonder what other reason they would have had to include that information, if it weren't to imply it. Otherwise, why say it?

Edited: 'cause the quotes did something goofy.

Methinks that this board collectively applies more meaning to items sometimes than necessary.

I didn't read any sinister allegation into a statment of fact.

Maybe "Uncle Jimmy" did it.

my point exactly. Even after all of the bad storms we have been having, everything is still outside. Toys, flowers, even teddy bears. Makes it seem like he doesn't care what the community feels about his family that he doesn't care himself.

I'm certain that last place Coleman or his immediate familiy wants to be is anywhere near the house.

Sheesh, Artie ..

Yes it is very uneasy knowing this man is staying here in this town.
MCS is not far away, they are just not right on top of him but MCS will know exactly what he is doing if he leaves the family home.

If he is arrested... I wonder what will become of Pastor Ron.
Also know that not everyone in this town goes to the Grace Church and too be honest the people who do not attend the church will probably start speaking out soon, but these people are not tight knitted with the church members or the family and they don't have the info MCS is looking for.

I don't know if it's just me or what. But, IF I lived in that area, I don't know how comfortable I'd be going around anywhere in that town knowing that there's a KILLER walking around, a TRIPLE MURDERER, LE knows who it is, isn't sayin', and they're NOT watching them. Now they say it could be up to 8 weeks before they take anyone in custody.

Seriously, is it just me? Anyone who lives in that area, does this make you feel safe?

FWIW, we have seen guys that killed their family then went down to a local business, shopping mall, or whatever and just opened fire on innocent bystanders.

I personally would be {spooked}.

Well, it does depending on the midset of the psycho (we would assume) killer. For one, frame CC. Put him through the pain and suffering of his family being gone. Less to deal with while he is out of the house too.

If there was a killer, all of these might be valid reasons. And we could also assume the killer might feel as though "I'll get away with it, all suspicion will be on CC". So, he could get to CC later - if he was not locked up, etc.

Milopedes, it does seem somewhat like someone might, and I emphasize ..might .. have set Coleman up.

In any event, I still don't believe he harmed his family!

Hey, Artie~ Is there a reason I am not seeing fences behind the house to the left and the Coleman house? Do a lot of neighbors not have their yards enclosed?

  • #757
I would think that it depends on the nature of the stains. . . And that might be one of the analysis that MCS is waiting for before moving forward. They could be testing for dna, saliva and other body fluids as well as paint spray, which would be more obvious.

...or it could be the simpler explanation .. not everything seized that day became evidence, I'm sure

Give us your theory. Who would go to such great lengths to do this?

Do you know if they still have people near the parents' home today? Did they really pull everyone off that detail today?
