There was a report .. not a post .. but a newspaper report that a computer had been taken from the house by police .. his parent's house.

We're not talking about the computer seized from his parents home. We're discussing the "electronic equipment" seized from his place of employment that appears to have resulted in his termination. What do you suppose they found there?

I know but police will also take a work computer too.

Yes, I know .. but it was yesterday a computer was removed from his parent's home. I can't find the story .. I think it was in the Chester paper.

The question is, what "rule" did he break? I seriously doubt their rules specifically state you cannot kill your wife and children. Likely don't state you cannot have an affair. So, what were the grounds for termination?

And, under the circumstances, why would they allow him to resign? The friggin COO handled it personally. That's NOT SOP - in any corporation...ANYWHERE!

I would think being a church they probably had a moral's clause.

Electronic Equipment can mean anything... especially in a security position where it would be quite normal for CC to have had it on his person even off company property.

What is very interesting, but not previously quoted, is Roby Walker also said "As there is an ongoing investigation, the ministry can't comment on any specifics," he said. "However, we are working with investigators and are thankful that they are doing their very best to solve this crime."

So did they tip LE as to what electronic CC did have that could help in the investigation? I would say yes, to further distance themselves.

And attempt to limit LE intrusion by being proactive in their cooperation.
I live in Largo which is next to Clearwater, which has become the Mecca for Scientology. Boy, if you ever want to see "organized religion" exert control over the media, the local government and business, , ,

Exactly... I doubt the employment contract specifically included the "No Banging Strippers" clause either (thanks SS) but I guess that's where a conscience comes in handy (for those who object to a Holy Spirit) a moral code of some sort, geesh! I mean go do security duty for Hooters, a casino, w/E...
ETA: Ok I fixed the link back Fairy on my post anyway... :blowkiss:

Can it be inferred this is the reason for termination? ... see bold:

"Police seized "electronic equipment" connected to Christopher Coleman's former security job, Walker said, but would not describe what it was or how it had been used."

Note that Roby Walker of JMM stated the equipment was seized ,,, equipment "connected" to Coleman's former job.

Analytical, are you infering that CC's extramarital affair would not be enough to get fired from JMM?

I think there is much more to this case than meets the eye.

I'll venture that there is a possibility that someone was so bent on targeting Chris and family that they set it up to leave Chris behind and frame him for the murders.
If someone set Chris up for the murders, the perp has to be the luckiest sob alive. No one saw him enter or leave the neighborhood, no one saw him at the home upon arriving or leaving, no one saw him go in the window or out the door, no one heard anything during the murders, no one saw him exit or enter a vehicle, no one saw a strange vehicle, and no one saw him throw anything out on the bridge. He must not have left fingerprints, footprints, DNA, fibers, or a weapon. He conveniently must have known about the cameras, the dvr, and the location of both. The dogs in the neighborhood miraculously never barked. The person across the street who went jogging at 6:00am didn't see him. He timed everything perfectly down to the last few minutes to leave before Chris called LE (how did he know when Chris was going to call or when he would arrive home?). Yes....the luckiest sob alive. That must be it!

Cop: 1 person responsible for Ill. family's deaths
By JIM SUHR – 1 day ago
CHESTER, Ill. (AP) — Investigators say one person is responsible for last week's killings of a woman and her two children in their southwestern Illinois home.
Authorities said Wednesday they presented their evidence to Monroe County state's attorney Kris Reitz (RYTZ). But Reitz has deferred filing charges until he gets more results from forensic tests.

Watching Nancy again ........LOL just 3 times tonight

I'm watching her too! I woke up hubby up with a loud laugh when NG was asking MM (local radio reporter) if Golds had surviellance cameras and he replied I don't believe we know that at this point and she replies "Well all you have to do is drive over there and look up at the ceiling FYI" I love how matter of fact she can be!

They would have to have a search warrant I believe to take it.

Yes, that's what I meant. They would have to show a judge probable cause to get the warrant. BTW - I love your sig line and agree 100%, my grandchildren have brought a new level of joy into my life.

IMO, I think they are one in the same. I would venture to guess that he had a laptop computer which belonged to JMM and police seized it from the parents' house along with probably a radio or a cell phone he used at work. He probably had a lot of "electronic equipment" which belonged to JMM. The back of his suv was full of equipment on the day of the murder.
