I just don't get it. Are these men really that stupid or are they so arrogant that they believe they won't get caught? Doesn't anyone learn from crimes of the past? This sounds just like our friend, Scott Peterson. The spouse is always the first suspect and if CC were really innocent, he would have divilged that he had a girlfriend because it wouldn't have mattered.

I had seen a 'blog entry' on the news site regarding Chris' departure from JMM yesterday. That particular poster has been correct in the past of their mentioning unconfirmed circumstances in this case that later come to fruition. I'd asked here if anyone had heard anything and at that time I said I didn't believe it because for both sides, it wouldn't be a 'good thing.' Like you said, 'it seems a bit early in the game.........'

I'm bettin' there's going to be some BOMBSHELL evidence linked to the JMM organization. No.......please! I'm NOT saying that anyone from JMM is linked to the crime (well, I dunno)...............EXCEPT allegedly the husband, Chris. But he MAY have used SOMETHING from the employer which will be COMPLETELY against the church or propriety or whatever.

I have an idea but I'm not going to say right now. I'm not psychic, just nosey! or a gamblin' person but as it is a 'bet' on my part, I'm not going to say 'what' now as it COULD start rumors. There's enough of those already going around.

I think there's more to his departure from his employer than we know or may think! ;)

JMHO
fran

I think at first JM rushed to his side because she couldn't fathom him doing something like this but more and more information has come out and they are now learning that he was not the man he said he was. I would think he had a clause in his contract that said he could do nothing that would bring shame or humiliate the church and must lead a moral, Christian life, representing JMM.

Having a girlfriend/lover on the side is not living a moral life. I think JMM were looking for anything and everything and they found it and he had no choice but to resign or outright be fired.

Can a legal eagle help me please? Is this restraining order just in regards to the bodies of Sherri and the boys, or is it an order against CC to protect the whole family?

http://www.ksdk.com/news/pdfs/colemanaffidavit.pdf

It is a temporary retraining order so that Sheri's Family could have the memorial service in Chicago without Chris Coleman interfering. It is nothing more than that.

I'm still trying to catch up here but saw your comment. I only saw that mentioned once, yesterday. I can't even recall if it was here or somewhere else I saw that.

I haven't seen anything other than rumor.....once.........so I'd wait on that. But you're right, IF it was true, how would he think he'd get away with this? oh,...........IF he's the perp! ;)

JMHO
fran

IF he is the perp, I do believe this may be one of the longest premeditation cases I have seen. Sheesh, how long did he methodically plot this out? Scary as heck to know Sheri, Gavin and Garrett lived with this man all the while he is plotting to murder all of them. IF he did it.

Did he want to make sure that her name wasn't on the home or vehicles? Was he trying to set it up where it wouldn't be listed in her Estate when she died? If it is true that he raised the life insurance amount on Sheri and the children it shows even more premeditation or aforethought, imo.

I wonder how long has he had his lover and how often he saw her?

I just don't understand how people can be so clueless and think they are going to get away with something this horrific when they leave a trial of evidence behind. I suppose that in their minds they think they are smarter than the many other men or women who are doing life for the same thing. Maybe they are counting on that approximate 40% ratio of cases that remain unsolved.

I guess it is not meant for me to understand why murderers kil anyone, much less, kill their own children that they helped bring into this world. It is just unimaginable.

A source close to Coleman’s family has told that this latest action on behalf of the as-yet-unamed potential suspect in the case is due to a romantic hideaway property owned by Coleman’s employer that was the “love lair” of Coleman and his extramarital love interest.

has withheld Coleman’s lover “Largos” true identity. I have learned this individual has been told not to speak to the media: She will be called as a material witness in the Grand Jury review on Coleman’s case

If this is true, there must be utility bills. Was the house a "guest house" used frequently? Or supposedly empty since the Colemans moved out? I would think someone in accounting would notice if bills were coming through for an "empty" property. If he was using it for adulterous trysts without permission, that would certainly be grounds for dismissal, but most employers require documented warnings and multiple offenses.

If he was using it and JMM was aware, but swept it under the rug because he was was a "good friend" of the ministry (as is his father) then that would certainly be a bombshell. The utility records (and phone pings) should be able to verify this.

Just a couple of quick notes on some things that I found this morning:

Sheri and Chris advertised on CraigsList back in September 30 2008 for a house cleaning service. Sheri posted what looks to be her cell phone number and her email address there. The cell number posted on that ad is 314-359-9995. The email address she used is [email protected] . Also, when I used those to search it found Sheri's MSN account which was Littlesheric2377. MSNGroups is shut down now but there are some cached pages on google that show Sheri posting regularly in a Weiss family message board as well as frequenting a "Air Venture Photos" group.

If you all can do anything with any of that, great. I'm on my way to get some work done.

Thanks. I followed that path a couple of days ago, but any time I tried to click on a link, I got the "MSN Groups closure notice" I did notice that the last posts were in 2005 (don't know when MSN closed the groups). I was more interested in the house cleaning service. I think CC used Sheri's spending to "build his case" for extra-marital affairs. It looks like Sheri was willing to do whatever it took to save her marriage, lead a Dave Ramsey financial seminar (did her husband make her do this as "punishment"?), or even clean toilets to help make ends meet. :( PS, I don't look down at house cleaning as employment, I've done it myself.

there are many reasons to be careful of that site but one of them is the fact that I got a nasty virus there and had to restore factory settings.. just wanted to give everyone a heads up on that.

Next to speak was Destiny Church lead pastor Jim Stern, who had the Coleman’s in his congregation.

“It was a privilege to be their pastor,” Stern said. “They were some of the happiest people you would ever like to meet. When they walked in, the whole room changed.

“I just loved being around people who loved life like they did.” (what a fool this guy is)

Trying hard not to be angry, Stern said he wanted people to show their emotions.

“I encourage you guys to mourn well,” Stern said. “I know this ticks me off because some will say evil is here in Columbia, but evil never wins the war. Five years from now we will look back and realize God was with us through the whole thing.”

Stern then led the crowd in a singing of “Amazing Grace” before reciting the Lord’s Prayer. Mayor Hutchinson then thanked everyone in attendance.

Thanks nurse - my computer is fully virus protected.
But it might be wise to watch out for odd links posted in any comment section of any website including the online newspaper sites because hackers love to post virus links in comment sections when the stories tend to be hot and people are hunting for any tidbits they can get when the story is hot. I've seen a few virus links in the comment sections following the Coleman case stories on a few online newspapers already, so watch what you are clicking on or copy, pasting and visiting from the newspaper and blog comment sections.

I think there is much more to this case than meets the eye.

I'll venture that there is a possibility that someone was so bent on targeting Chris and family that they set it up to leave Chris behind and frame him for the murders.

Do you have a theory on why anyone would want to do that? Did he have any known enemies? Was he involved in something or have some knowledge that made him a target? If so why kill the family? I'd venture to guess that there was no-one out to get CC for anything in particular. If there was it would have made more sense to target him alone than to murder three other people and leave CC alive. If he had some knowledge that was threatening to someone else killing his family is unlikely to make him stay quiet about it.

FYI - Avast Anti-virus is free and it gives an alarming audio warning that malware is on a page and blocks it from downloading. (I also have a router)

My nephew played football with Garrett & Gavin, the following email was sent to all the parents in the Organization. What a nice tribute to those little angels.

From: Blue Jay Football [mailto:[email protected]]
Sent: Thu 5/14/2009 12:26 PM
To: (deleted)
Subject: Memorial for Garrett and Gavin

To All Blue Jay Football Parents:

While this communication is difficult to write, I feel it necessary to reach out
to all of you on behalf of the Executive Board members of the Blue Jay Football
organization during these grief-stricken days since we learned of the Coleman
family tragedy. As evidenced by the number of emails we have received from you,
our sorrow is as wide as it is deep.

Many of you have expressed interest in some type of Blue Jay memorial for
Garrett and Gavin, remembering them as part of our football family. While not
finalized as of this date, I want you to know that your Executive Board members
have been discussing plans for an appropriate memorial for the Coleman boys.
Our preliminary discussions have included a dedication ceremony prior to the
beginning of the season at the Blue Jay facility. We will provide additional
information once the plans are final.

May Sheri, Garrett and Gavin rest in peace.

Police say they're close to solving triple homicide

http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/05/14/illinois.family.slain/index.html

According to Connor, Christopher Coleman -- the boys' father and Sheri Coleman's husband -- left the house at 5:43 a.m., and drove to a gym to work out. "Shortly thereafter he started calling his house, realized that nobody was answering and on his way back at around 6:50 is when he made the phone call to the Columbia Police Department," Connor said.

Connor said Coleman told police he started calling his house shortly after leaving it because he "was making sure the kids were getting up for school."

Odd that they know he left the house at 5:43am - how do they know this? (did the camera to the subdivision pick up his SUV on camera or did his own security camera catch him leaving? or did he make a cell call when he left and a local tower picked it up?

There is a lot we do know:

1. 3 people are dead by homicide.
2. Husband has a shaky alibi.
3. Husband was cheating.
4. House was put into his name only months before.
5. Threats were made, but LE could not determine there was any criminal activity involved.
6. Husband was negligent on security issues at home when it was his profession.
7. Threat or Threats were left on the inside wall or walls of the home.
8. Calls were made to home and to LE before finding the bodies which was suspicious.
9. LE has determined it was not random, but isolated.
10. LE tailed husband openly.
11. LE asked specifically for people who knew the family to come forward with information. (Was not a general plea for information.)
12. No forced entry into the home.
13. Victims found in bedrooms.
14. Husband hired an attorney hours after the murders.
15. A court order had to be issued to obtain fingerprints from husband.
16. Husband did not notify her family of the deaths and did not speak to them for 2 days.
17. Husband did not allow time for her family to attend the funeral and held up their request for a separate one to be held in Chicago.
18. Husband was not included in being a target, but threats were supposedly against his affiliation to JMM.

I am sure there are more things, but these are what I can toss out off the top of my head. Feel free to add more!

1. You have suspects in any homicide. It is natural, and many times, the police are wrong.

2. We don't know if his alibi is shaky. Without knowing TOD, right now all we know is when he left, where he went, and when he arrived home.

3. This has been alleged. I don't believe the woman has made a supporting statement in this regard.

4. So what? If he was planning to kill them, what would it matter? If anything, that would serve to make him look more guilty in the eyes of those so willing to convict the minute the first news flash came out!

5. You said it, not me, but I think we can all agree: Threats were made. So far, we know little about this. While I will admit this is suspicious, given his employment at JMM and the number of nut jobs out there who are radically anti-religious, it is just as believeable as a man killing his entire family via strangulation.

6. Negligent how? When I claimed someone may have left the window open everyone cried out, "No one would if they were receiving threats!" So, maybe it wasn't unlocked. We don't know if they had a security system, but we do know they had cameras. How is that negligent?

7. People were killed in the home too. Allegedly by the same person who had been leaving threats for months. Why does this point to CC?

8. We've been over this. If he was 15 minutes from home, an no one answered, I'd do the same given the history of threats.

9. Isolated = "the guy who had been threatening the family", not some drooling, maniac killer roaming the countryside.

10. Of course they did, he is the prime suspect right now. I don't disagree with that, I just think the possibility that it was someone else could be real.

11. They did this because 3 out of 4 family members are dead. I would call it bad investigating if they did not do that. And again, see #10.

12. Damaged screen could be considered a degree of force. And if the killer found an unlocked window, there was no need for force.

13. So? They were not awake yet. It was early in the morning.

14. There are many innocent people who would do this. I would if I found myself to be in a similar situation.

15. I believe obtaining the Court order is pretty standard procedure-wise.

16. Yes, this is lowdown. But it does not = killer.

17. This makes him a 🤬🤬🤬, but a grieving and shocked 🤬🤬🤬 too. Could it be that he is not thinking clearly after his wife and two kids were murdered? I'd say that, if innocent, that isn't too much of a stretch!

18. OK? I don't see a problem with this.

Does he outwardly seem guilty to me? Yes. Could he be innocent? Yes. There is still so much we don't know.

What time do you get your kids up for school? What time does school start?

Since I don't have a "hinky" meter perhaps I look at things with a different perspective.
I can think of a whole lotta kids that wish they had parents like you.

I think the threating letters / notes indicate why: he worked for JMM. She has many employees, so the obvious question in my mind would be "why his family?" I don't know. Maybe the letters indicate why, maybe they don't - we may never know.

If you are sick in the head, and want to get at two people, I would think this is the perfect way of doing it. Bad PR for Joyce Meyer. Frames CC for killing his family.

Is this a stretch? Sure. I'm not saying this is what I believe, I am just tossing out ideas for people to chew on.
