I truly believe the threats were real! I just believe CC was the author of the letters. This would not be the first case a husband wrote threat letters to the family including him and murdered his wife.:furious:

If we ever get death threats I'm checking all my computers and magazines. Just in case.

One case was the Diane King case.

I've been saying that for days. CC invented these threatening letters as a vehicle to scare the crap out of Sheri to convince her to stay in the marriage. I could see him saying "See Sheri, you can't divorce me... this big bad ninja dwarf wolf dude wants to kill us all, and you really need me to protect you".

If i could ask LE a question, a yes or no question......were these search warrants issued, because someone is not cooperating in the investigation?......and a judge signed the search warrants so LE can go back to this person and search?......and was there more then one warrant, for a different place?........multiple warrants issued?
it would not be the house, or the parents.........or the other home etc I assume...........or could it be a private place, such as a storage unit or something?..........if not a person, is it a place, where there is no one to give permission to search at this time, and so to prevent an illegal search and seizure, they were issued? or was it probably cause, that had the warrants issued?

[/center]

Even if the family is 100% cooperative LE will wait for a search warrant once the scene is secure. Anything found during a voluntary search is open for debate in court by the defense. There is no benefit to the state to skip the warrant.

Don't want to interrupt the flow of conversation here but I wonder if CC hired someone to commit this crime. My DH used to leave for work abt 6am and I don't ever think he called less than an hr later to see if we were okay(unless there was a storm or something obvious he would need to call about). Which also leads me to wonder if CC was being threatened and his family was killed out of revenge.

Also have they pinned down the time of death yet?

I going out on a limb here and say. I think they will find or have already, the letters came from a computer at JMM. Written and printed on 3rd shift.
IMO

I think your right about that.

I don't remember if there was a camera at the back door. It would be amazing if the idoit is on camera walking back into his house carrying a can of spray paint. We have a shed, but I guess if they had a basement it may have been stored in there.

The report from his neighbor was there had been a camera at the back door. I don't recall a shed there from the pictures, and since they have a HOA I doubt they are allowed. But it would be great!!! I'm just hoping they did in fact find it, it's in capable hands now and shows something totally incriminating. Why else take it & toss it if it didn't?

Or on mommy and daddy's computer. The reporter on one news cast stated a neighbor who did not want to be named stated LE had been to the parents and removed a computer. this as a few days ago.

So if he was plotting this and planning to execute it with such finesse as to get away with it and leave Coleman taking the fall, it seems the killer got the best revenge...

I know .. not a scenario anyone is even willing to consider .. giving any weight at all to the threats combined with the message left on the wall and the police stating "this family was targeted" ... "there were threats towards the family"

It was reported on NG today that the city of Columbia had a camera trained on the Coleman house in response to the threats received. If that tape shows someone other than CC exit the house Tuesday morning before police arrived, then I am willing to give your scenario some consideration.

I do know the CC family is claiming that 'the real killer™' (has anyone contacted OJ to let him know where they are yet?) was hiding out in the house all night waiting for CC to leave in the morning. So we should see him or her leave shortly after CC went to the Gym. Unless of course this person was enough of a pro to off the family while CC was actually in the house, maybe CC attempted to wake his wife before leaving, but was unable to do so. That could explain why he started calling minutes after leaving the house.

It will be VERY interesting if we hear the city owned camera was unexpectedly not functioning Monday night.

I bet he switched the hard drive with another one and just chucked it out the window thinking they were going to be looking for the mysterious letter writer.

I thought about that, but strangulation is a very personal crime. Either way though he would still be guilty of murder.

Hello ImpatientRedHead!

We were banging on the same cylinder exactly! You posted the same link I was about to post:

http://www.pathguy.com/TimeDead.htm

The form that guy has up is very helpful in terms of knowing what is taken into consideration for time of death.

Actually, I'm hoping there was no screaming coming from "their house" at 3AM. I'm hoping that examination of the bodies clearly speaks to who the perp is and with NO confusion.

If one is a student or observer of human behavior long enough, one can learn an awful lot about human nature. Not that there are no exceptions, but there are only so many primal motives for coldblooded murder.

And there are even fewer reasons to kill children--especially where no SA is involved. In this case w the murder of the boys it would appear they likely witnessed *something* w/in their home... and when killed in their sleep, the only logical conclusion I can draw is they were allowed to sleep following w/e the *something* was they witnessed which may have only been to overhear the heated argument; but if Mommy disappears immediately following the heated confrontation, their children could naturally have linked the two... most likely w/e incident alleged to have been overheard by neighbors at 3:00 am. Could someone kindly tell me body temp or please direct me to autopsy or where it's reported? TIA

First I've heard of a camera on the house... now that is interesting. Did CC know about this?

And I'm sorry, but I'm not buying a mysterious killer hiding in the house story. That house isn't that big, where would he hide? In plain site would be my guess, since all signs point to CC :saythat:

From what I understand, it records over itself over & over again. However, they may be able to pull recordings off of it just like you can try to retrieve deleted things off a hard drive. Hopefully this one had a huge memory allotment.

Now if it was just chucked off the side of the road, all Computer Forensics has to do is hook it up and take a peek. I doubt it was destroyed beyond getting valuable info off of it or recorded over that fast. But it could be he turned it off if this was premeditated, but I'm not convinced it was.

DVR's use hard disk drives to store their data....even if the DVR itself was non-functional, data could be retrieved from the hard disk.

Interesting info. Unfortunately TOD & autopsy results have not been released yet. That would clear a LOT up.

Hi ... NG has been repeating on my tv for since the first airing .. I don't recall any mention tonight nor earlier reporting in the media of a City of Columbia camera.

The Coleman family had installed a camera in response to the threats.

Manual strangulation would be very personal. You could strangle a person in very impersonal ways however. You could use a zip tie for instance, cinch it tightly around a person's neck, and walk away, moving on the the next victim.

A person could probably do 3 sleeping people in this way in under a minute. If you woke up with a zip tie tightened around your neck, I'm sure you would be far too panicky to do anything useful to save your own life in the few seconds of consciousness you had left.

Gotta love technology!!

Hello FrmChesterGuy,

If the family is saying the real killer "was hiding out in the house all night waiting for CC to leave in the morning" I might guess they are partially correct. There was no need for hiding however, the real killer, in my opinion at this point, was the guy who had his wife take her name off the deed for some reason.

It was the first I had heard of it as well. If I didn't delete today's episode, I'll let you know about how far into the episode it is mentioned.
