There are so many cameras now today they may have spotted his car on a surveillance tape and saw him stopped or flinging something in that area.

I really don't recall there being cameras on that bridge. I used to drive that bridge daily as my territory was South STL County & the Metro East area. The only one I know of is before 255 turns into 270 on the Missouri side.

I will drive that way soon to find out. I also want to know if that Golds has survellience cameras, so maybe I'll go for a workout there soon too.

It is what the reporter said...LE had a camera trained on their home. We know there is a surveillance camera at the entrance of the subdivision. Now I want to know where the camera is located in relation to the front of the home. How far away is it?

Are the photos clear enough in detail to show his face as he is coming out of the house? Most photos I have seen from this type of camera are so grainy you cannot determine much at all.

are there street lights on there road? Do they have security lights in the front yard? If someone entered and left at least their figure would be caught on camera.
I'm betting he got into his vehicle and backed out of his garage never walking to the front door. Although some had to stage that back window.

One thing I found odd that has been eating away at me...

On the day the CC family was at the house. They had a small enclosed trailer to load good into. There is no way that they could take everything in the house using that small trailer. The media reported on what they saw the CC family taking out of the house. The media said the saw them removing CC's clothing, a couple of suitcases (which may have had his clothing like underwear and socks in them) and "boxes of books". ( I guess the boxes where open and they could see there was books in the boxes ) . Anyhow I saw one of the men carrying out what looked like a drop in shelf from a bookcase in the video.

Now I find it odd that they grabbed boxes of books and not other important items from the house. (like paper files or photo albums, tools, etc). I also found it odd that media mentioned the boxes of books being taken out of the house but did not say tools or fishing/hunting gear, music cd's, stereo equipment, TV (you know more manly things that a manly marine would pick before books)

Anyway. I am wonder what the subject matter was of these books and why the books were so important to CC to remove them from the house at that time?

If I was LE I would be wondering the same thing and I am wondering if LE is interested in why they took the books from the house also during this first trip to the house when the house was released fully to Coleman and he or his family could always come back and get the boxes of books.

Any thoughts?

Perhaps this is what the search warrant issued today was for???

Maybe that s why some many of them were watching them take stuff out of the house.Making a list so they know what was so important that had to be taken out of the house. This way the can put things things in a search warrant for mommy and daddys house.

Exactly. And if I go with this fairy tale for a moment and a complete stranger has been threatening this family for 6 months, for no apparant reason... where is the grieving father pleading for help to identify this person. "someone knows who has been threatening me, someone knows why this person is focused on me and my family, please help me".

Oh, that is right he is huddled up with a defense attorney instead of "looking for the real killer".
Yes...the one he hired within hours of LE finding the bodies.

Gold's would definitely have camera's. They are a prime type of business for someone to claim they were injured on their property and they are responsible.

There is a street light in front of the next door neighbors house (from pics). But at 5:43 it was already dawn here that day, so it could have caught a clear picture ~ just depends on the technology of the camera.

BTW he NEVER parked in the garage per his neighbor. There was too much stuff in the garagge for both cars. So it was easy to tell if he was home or not.

I mean c'mon JM isn't like a foreign head of state or big gov't official or underworld boss (that I know of lol) gmab... Now maybe he was that important in his own mind but I'm just not buyin it that his security role was SO vital that his life was at stake and his whole family was a target...

:parrot:

True, but keep in mind. As nutjobs go, the religious nutjobs are the ones you REALLY have to watch out for.

it's getting late here so bear with me...buuuut -- what good is a surveillance camera unless there is someone to monitor it -- in terms of crime prevention (not find the perp *after* crime is committed)? After all, it sounds as tho the threats were related to harming the Coleman family...sooo, unless there was a big sign that said "Dude, we are watching you!" how will it deter violence against the family?

Someone asked this ? on NG last night. Not all gyms have had them, and honestly I work out at Golds (not that one) and can't recall ever noticing them! I will look though :)

Wonder if there are alot of camera's in the parking lot also? I'm sure alot of peope leave their stuff in their cars. I would think the parking lot has several camera to deter from car break ins. I'm hoping gold's gym has cameras like Target. I was amazed at the Casey A video from there. It was very clear. come to think of it hopefully CC bought his spray paint and gloves there!

The only one I know of is on the Missouri side of the river a bit aways from the bridge. You can view it on gatewayguide.com I doubt it could catch the bridge on it. I'll drive over there soon and see if there is another one, but I don't recall one.

According to weathbug.com they do not have traffic cams in Columbia yet.

http://www.webcamlocator.com/united_states/illinois.htm

I am not familiar with the area, but here is a list of some known camera's.

Thats right I forgot to add her............must be a relative...........I have spent so many hours with really good questions and have never gotten on.Maybe we should sleuth her and ask her the secret to getting to talk to Nancy.

The neighbor posting here said his vehicle was not normally kept in the garage. Sheri's vehicle was on one side and the boys' toys were kept on the other.

Not sure about street lights or security lights. If Chris had to put the security lights up himself...I can almost bet there were none. He really wasn't into securing his home other than a camera on the mailbox and one looking at the lake. No alarm system. Window left unlocked or open. Nothing to indicate he was sincerely worried about the threats.

The Gold's I was a member of might not have had cameras, but you did have to sign in with your thumb print.

It would be interesting to know what is workout session was like that morning, was he in a class with multiple people? what was his mood like? Or did he sign in, and then go shower and sulk in the dressing room for 45 minutes trying to call his wife?
