Fran, I totally agree. IMO, his parents told him to lawyer up.

Okey dokey...

Loose thoughts/questions...

When the resignation news originally hit (close to the news of a computer being confiscated from Coleman's parent's home), someone mentioned a possible termination package. Do companies give termination packages to people who resign due to a violation of failing to follow a company policy?

Clipped from here:
>>Chris Coleman left his position at Joyce Meyer Ministries after an internal inquiry found he had failed to follow a company policy.<<

Also, I found the "failed to follow" an interesting set of wording (it was not "breached a policy"). I also found it interesting that the COO was called in (like others of you did). This seemed to have been a very "sensitive" situation. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. What a position to be in :( Permitting someone to "resign" rather than having to take a stand to fire them due to a violation of policy must have been something very well discussed with the company attornies, particularly under the circumstances.

As a note... When my father in law died suddenly in the 70's, his wife (my mother in law) was offered his job as cartoonist (she had been a cartoonist too) by the very large comic book company that employed him. There are compassionate things that some (probably not enough) companies do for/offer to their valued employees and their families.

In other words, this would have been a perfect opportunity for Coleman's employer to swoop down and give him opportunities (paid time off etc.) They were obviously informed of something, or requested of something, that bound their hands and forced them into a sensitive action. Of course, this was also followed by and/or accompanied with, how was it worded? (seized?), the LE taking electronic equipment was it?

My husband's company does not take to the use of their belongings for personal use -- yes they can use their cell phones to call home. Personal emails on company time is not a happy thing for them -- but they don't police this.

Very odd thought, note to self: aside from a company property being used for an affair without former permission from bosses for such a use being a failure to follow company policy, could use of company equipment to film the strip tease of a lover at a company property also be one?

Which then takes me to another question. HALLO ALL, can anyone find the funeral/memorial announcement from the Coleman family?

I have tried to find it but couldn't again. It seems there was wording in that which said something to the effect of "memorials can be given to the X Fund" or some such thing (Legacy fund, heritage fund, heritage something or other). I specifically remember the word "memorials" in that announcement. In other words, it was being suggested that there was some type of fund at that church where people could give in lieu of flowers or whatever.

Now then...I would really like to find that announcement. IF I were a member of that church, based upon the situation, I would probably be approaching the church board to find out how those funds are being doled out/used. In fact, I would want to make sure that the church funds were not being used to hire a defense attorney.

Final thought... "If" there is any truth to the family thinking that a perp was hiding in the house prior to Chris' departure for the gym -- what do they do with his immediately calling/repeatedly calling home (and on what phone, one that could wake the entire family?) -- IF he did this, wouldn't that phone call have wakened family members -- surely there would have been signs of an awakening in the midst of an attack. Were any such signs seen by investigators?

How the scene looked (God forbid that any human should ever have to lay eyes on something so horrible) will answer questions. IF there were an attack, if family members were awakened and went to the aid of others (or hid), would a hiding perp have them taken them and laid them nicely in their beds to be found? We really can't sleuth this aspect until we know the scene -- and I'm sure we will be sickened when we do.

The only possible scenario that I can think of where CC might be innocent of the physical act of murder and respond in the ways that we have observed, would be if HE KNOWS who murdered his family and is protecting that person for one reason or another.

Why though? If he knows who murdered his beautiful wife and children..why wouldn't he want to just throw the guy who did it under the bus and get justice? I couldn't sleep at night, if I were him, knowing that the person who killed my family is just walking free and I'm the one person who can put him in jail, but I'm choosing not to.

Personally, I think JMM was trying to be diplomatic out of respect for Chris' parents and family by allowing him to resign. (He can't file unemployment either which could be one of the things considered on their part.)

I am still not straight on where the electronic equipment was located when LE "seized" it. The statement made by RW wasn't clear. Was it taken from JMM headquarters, the parents' home, or from Chris' home? (I also do not believe it had anything to do with his sudden resignation.)

The only obit I have seen from Sheri's family was on her Legacy.com site. It did not mention Chris in any way. This is the one from the Chicago Tribune which is the Legacy.com site:

The scenarios that I can think of would be: 1. He arranged it. 2. One of his girlfriends arranged it. 3. One of his girlfriend's "jealous other" did it after warning him to stay away from her. 4. An acquaintance did it to "protect" him from exposure that would harm JMM, his fathers church etc.

In all of the above, the premise is that the boys were murdered because something went wrong and they witnessed the crime against their mother.

Following up on the thing flopped at the wall to see if it sticks...

If threats had been going on for 9 to 6 to 3 months (whatever might have been, yawn!), just how many times did the family's lack of response to a morning call to supposedly wake them launch a "welfare check" on the family? i.e. who was called about this check, the neighbor detective, the police and how many times did very scared father call them when mother or one of the children didn't pick up the phone? Now can one assume that such a call was made on a phone that would ring throughout the house to wake them all? How many phones were there in that house?

In other words, HOW MANY TIMES did an unanswered call between 5:43AM to 6:51AM cause Chris to launch a welfare check? Was there a pattern of father being really worried to the point that he would wake up a neighbor or hit his local police station for care?

OR, but maybe this is important, was there a recent note to make Chris think that the family was in even more intense danger that day? (ar ar ar ar ar)

AND, if dad was so frightened for his family, aside from not having had alarms on the house, or windows locked/sealed shut, or not leaving for the gym or or or -- then how is it that he could dare to entertain time away from their protection to merely bounce with his mistress? In other words, he was damned scared when the family didn't answer the phone this one time? many times? but there was no fear in leaving the family on trips or for pleasure trips?

And about that mistress -- my hope is that they will be every bit the good witness needed to prove some airtight things. My further hope is that there will be a nice pattern of utility use at the love lair to prove the mistresses words.

Hallo SeriouslySearching,

No, that is not the obit. I distinctly read one prior to that and pertaining to the service held in Chester. I can't recall if I read that on the local church website (his dad's) or at the local funeral home or what but I very distinctly remember the strange wording of "memorials" can be given to or left with, or whatever. I thought that wording was different than any I had read before in such an obit. I remember there was a definite fund name of some type, it didn't necessarily have the word "fund" in it -- which also seems to stick in my brain. I thought, "Hmmm how is that fund earmarked for spending." Whatever it was, it seemed as if it was set up and used prior to this situation -- I suppose someone who went to the funeral and read the paperwork given there might have that on it.

Hallo all who went to that service -- do you have the paperwork you were given? Can you see what I am talking about?

Yes, how many times did this man call home not only on that particular morning, but how often on a regular basis? If his cell phone records show he called every time he left the house...he may have a pattern which could bolster his case. If there are no calls from work, from the gym, while out of town, while bangin...uhm seeing Miss Motive, or while he was gone to the store for an hour or so except that particular day...then it shows he was not that darned concerned for their welfare at any other time! His cell records should also show the calls to be consistent in the mornings since he claims he was calling to make sure Sheri and the boys were up for school, too.

I wish we could get his actual work schedule nailed down.

It would be great if someone from Gold's Gym would start talking about how regular his routine was for working out. LOL Any locals want to join a gym?! ;)

I am still in disbelief over the family thinking there was a perp hiding in the house all night. If this is the story Chris is giving them...they are the most gullible family outside of the A fam I have ever seen. I suppose this perp pulled up a chair, grabbed himself a bottle of wine, and put his feet up until Chris left for the gym. GMAB! (Btw~ Has it ever been determined Chris left from this particular residence?)

I think the most damning piece of evidence that is going to button this case up is going to come from here:

http://www.ksdk.com/travel/traffic/default.aspx#

Click on the 255 JB bridge link.

Somewhere someplace these cameras record, and he made the fatal mistake of telling LE exactly WHEN he drove over the bridge, thereby telling them when and where to search for video.

Just my opinion.

Hello Susnoat,

Sweet! Wouldn't it be nice if the hand was seen flinging something out the window into the center divider?

Re-reading this article, something jumped out at me:

"She and her husband divorced in December 2004 (I see 12/8/04 as the date and it looks like he divorced her - I can't see the document but it looks like it was initiated by PB). No one answered the door Tuesday at the condominium she bought with her ex-husband in 2006. He appears to have moved, and did not respond to messages left at what a friend said was his cell phone number."

http://community.fox2now.com/_chris-coleman-has-a-girlfriend-in-florida/blog/276290/96301.html?b=

So she was still "friends" with her ex in 2006 and close enough that she bought a condo with him in May of that year. They are still listed as joint owners in the Property Appraisers DB.

It looks like Tara may have been engaged in an intimate relationship with both of them at the same time. The motif of the "battle between good and evil" has been nagging at me throughout this case. PB was the "bad boy", may have introduced TL to the adult sex industry at a young age (college?), and then you've got CC, who was the "good boy". It's not hard (for me) to imagine that it was a mind-game for TL to seduce CC away from SC. Jezebel, or damsel in distress? I wonder what PB thought about it?

Hello SeriouslySearching and All,

I did find this page. It mentions "memorials may be made to..." but that is NOT what I read. What I read was specific as to where memorials could be made, i.e. the family's choice was noted.

As a reminder to all locals who may have taken the route and be reading:

>>Police are still asking for the public's help in solving the crime. Investigators especially wish to hear from anyone who may have seen something unusual along Interstate 255 near the J.B. Bridge in the hours prior to the bodies being discovered by police at 6:51 a.m. on May 5.

"We believe there was evidence discarded along this route," Connor said, refusing to elaborate.<<

I thought it curious as well when you first posted .. if they divorced in 2004, it's curious the "cozy" relationship of the condo in 2006. Very curious.

I'd bet he was a friend on her now-defunct Facebook profile as well.

Howdy LindaDanette,

Good to see you.

My guess is that he could have cared less -- on the other hand, he could have been hiding in the basement or maybe hired a hit man to hide there :bang:

Little problem with the ex husband being upset and doing the deed or hiring it done. How did they get that sneaky lil threat carrier to get those threats into the mailbox for how many months?

I remember reading the obit about memorials to a fund of some sort, that I didn't recognize the name of, and instead of finding out, I forgot about it.

One of the neighbors posted the two car garage was half used by Sheri and the other half for storage. CC parked in the driveway, always.
