The American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter recently presented its Lifesaver Community Award to Joyce Meyer Ministries for training employees in CPR and First Aid, placing two Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) onsite and hosting blood drives.Pictured left to right: Al Thongsithavong (Donor Recuritment Representative – Missouri-Illinois Blood Services Region), Chris Shanahan (Authorized Provider Specialist – American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter), Becky Becker (Executive Assistant to COO - Joyce Meyer Ministries), Ellen Wilhelm (Compliance Manager – Joyce Meyer Ministries), Roby Walker (COO – Joyce Meyer Ministries), Mike Cole (Security Manager – Joyce Meyer Ministries), Don Barkley (Volunteer – American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter) and Mary Beth Ohlms – Health and Safety Services Manager – American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter).

Seems likely CPR training was in response to lawsuit following the drowning deaths of five youths while on a Dream Center volunteer picnic outing (first link, BND).
Second link to webpage listing many other articles relating to JM and JMM.

Hello All...

I guess I'm going to have to dig again for the "date" they first started checking i-255 (is that the highway?) Unless anyone has that info handy.

Oh...and as for spray paint, do you guys REALLY want me to go down to the bat cave to look? (bat cave, garage, split level, husband hangs upside down in it for his back.) I would have to face snakes and spiders, ish!

W

Wrinkles
I had to read that twice cause I thought you wrote hubby hangs upside down in it because he is a bat.

LOL

BTW I read and got back to you via PM.

Stella
No journals newspapers here - use to get them in STL though - so they are not free anymore? - (cool many people hated getting them in their yards)

Yikes,

What is "from the PM'd source" -- where is a link to that?

Sent it to you.

Chester - yes we were VERY relieved not to have to drag it to the trash twice a week; or not notice it at all & have it kill the grass!

yeah I remember that - you don't take inner city kids that don't know how to swim cause they just don't know how to swim due to lack of swimming pools in the inner city to the Meramac of all places to swim.

Meramac is dangerous even when it is shallow.

I am getting tired...

What I see here is a mailbox that is not standing erect. The report about the "damage" to the mailbox was never detailed but it sure seems someone has given it a lop. Perhaps that is the damage that was reported.

http://www.stltoday.com/blogzone/pictures/files/2009/05/cd-rc-columbia-6.jpg

That was discussed a long time ago and a neighbor said it had been like that for as long as they could remember and that they couldn't see any damage to the box or pole. Perhaps it wasn't installed correctly? Mine leans when we get a lot of rain, and we've had a lot of rain lately.

*note to self, have hubby concrete the mailbox in the ground*

OMG i totally forgot about that! And I totally agree with you! The MERAMEC of all places! That was astonishing.

I'm getting tired too... probably should go to bed since the little people will be up very soon.

We know that fingerprints can be taken off of the inside of latex gloves. Skin cells and hair from the outside top of the hand (on guys) and short arm hairs can be recovered from cloth gloves. There are also lint free cotton gloves as well. 'Touch DNA' is relatively new, but I honestly believe in it. The drawback from using any type of cloth gloves would be from possible 'bleeding through' of the paint from the spray paint. I am counting on forensics.

LE will be able to determine if the screen in the back was cut from the inside or outside. Even if CC were to go out the sliding basement doors to cut the screen, he would have really been taking the chance of someone seeing him. Using the maps, you can see how there could be many neighbors that could see from their homes if they happened to be looking out. CC could cut the screen from the inside and then pull it toward him. However, the initial indentation from whatever he used to cut the screen with could be telling of whether or not it was cut from the inside.

I have read every post on this case from the first day. A lot of times I just leave the computer on the page and get some things done. When I come back I am way behind!

My faith is in LE and MCS. Major Connor has done a great job and I applaud him as well as his squad!

Well Everyone...

Analytical, I kinda thought the same when I saw it as you did -- also thought the same as Stella. A whack and wet ground could make for the leaning tower of mailbox, to be sure.

ChesterG, you wrote:
>>I thought you wrote hubby hangs upside down in it because he is a bat.<<

hahahaha "the vampire" ;) (based on the discussion of scary places in that area)

I used to call the garage the dungeon until he bought his hanging upside down thingie.

And as for snakes... I walked out the other day and there was at least a 5 footer, lolly gagging across the driveway.

Very well said Lalaw. On that very insightful & truthful post, I'm going to bed.

And I second the sentiments about LE & MCS & Major Connor. HUGE pats on the back guys... bide your time, you have the bad guy in your sights... only a matter of time before you can take him down.

Hello LaLaw2000,

Good to see you... Yeah, LE has done a good job, on the other hand, I have to keep scratching my head about the holdup. I believe everyone wants things air tight on this one.

I'm just sitting here really being thankful for the tip that helped them to find whatever it was they found in the median or wherever it was for sure.

Night All...

Time to go snuggle the hubby before he heads to the Grand Canyon tomorrow -- it will be just me and the Siamese snuggling for a few days after that.

Night night

W

PS. arrest tomorrow maybe?

This just pisses me off....

Why would parents give the reporter the OK to place their 7 yr old's picture, name in the paper and the school she goes to...

http://www.stltoday.com/blogzone/pi...s-after-coleman-murders-in-columbia-illinois/

Sure you can't see her face - but I bet I could pick her out if I decided to stroll through that neighborhood. It drives me crazy to see parents allowing the media to do something like this.
People think about your kids and the safety of your kids!

I am off my soapbox now.

G'nite everyone!

Thanks, Stella5!

I changed my avatar to my granddaughter's pic. She is in the USAF and stayed at Lackland after her basic training to attend MOS training in Security Forces. Military MP. There were people in training with her at Lackland from the Army and Marine Corp as well. That is; when she got to the K9 training. K9 training was her 3rd school. Her first duty station was at Osan AFB in Korea. She met her Army husband there. Some Marines were also stattioned there. My avatar pic is one taken in Korea.

I said all of that to say this: No way I would believe that CC was connected with the Secret Service. From what I have read, he joined the Marines in 1995 and got out in 1999. Even two years into his service he would have still been taking tests and doing patrol as well as minor details. Maybe Clinton visited whatever base CC was stationed at and preliminary security work was done. But escorting Clinton or being a part of his security detail? No. IMO.

As CC was accustomed to working nights in his job, he may very well have stayed up all night on his night off. I wonder if Sheri may have caught CC either texting or talking to TL? And I will call her TL rather than Miss Motive. She does have a name. And of course she may not have been the only girlfriend CC has/had. I just do not believe TL was 100% the motive here.

I am also sorry to say that I agree with the poster who had stated that CC might have snapped Sheri's neck. That is quick and deadly. He would have been trained to do moves such as that. It would seem to me that it would have been quick and taken Sheri by surprise because she would have fought like a wildcat - she had the same training as CC.

I think that CC had taken a step off into the darkside on his out of town trips and liked it. His wife and children just did not fit into that lifestyle. Sheri and the boys had lots of activities to keep up with, and I wonder if CC was getting tired of the 'family life'. IMO, CC planned this for a very long time. I would like to know what his activities were the month before these murders.

I think that CC killed his family. I am not in a court of law and can have whatever opinion I want as to guilty vs. not guilty. It willl be a happy day for me when CC is arrested!

Thanks, chestergal, for your insight into the local scene!

I would also like to know how entry was gained to the house. Was entry gained after CC got there?

I do hope the neighborhood detective did not go into that house alone because that would go against what he was trained to do.

Goodnight any great peeps who are still here!!!

Good morning everyone!

I know we're all anxiously awaiting an arrest but I'm sure LE wants to have an air tight case. Remember it took 4 months to arrest Scott Peterson and look how long his "brother" Drew was running the streets before his arrest. I think if we're all patient, the outcome (justice) will be well worth the wait!

Good morning all! Not sure if this has been posted anywhere, so here is a new article in the Belleville News Democrat this morning (even though I think we knew this already):

JOYCE MEYER MINISTRIES: FATHER OF MURDERED COLUMBIA FAMILY RESIGNED AFTER MORAL CONDUCT VIOLATION.
