Many of us are on the same page it seems. It's all too much.

I agree. It is so bad, I smudged my office earlier.

I know I for one plan on knocking off all computer activity tomorrow early afternoon and staying off till Tuesday. I am going to enjoy the holiday weekend with family and friends. And enjoy time with Mr Medusa, who was injured today and be glad it wasn't worse.

And I may change my mind and stay off all day tomorrow.

This isn't The Fugitive. CC isn't important enough to frame. He is just another husband that wanted to be free and didn't want to deal with a divorce.

I know I am way behind. This needs to be repeated as it is so true and sums things up perfectly. Excellent post DairyGirl.

I'm not sure why it matters much about Ron Coleman's dad at this stage. My sense is he was not in prison, locals seems to know. If he was I guess it would hint that the family of origin is not as perfect as it seems, but really, it all points back to Chris and what choices he made about the lives of those he was supposed to protect.
I agree that we have so much horror and ugliness already that most of us don't want anymore, at least not in the direction of those who had nothing to do with this crime.
By the way, I've been reading the thread off and on throughout the evening and although I have seen a bit of sniping here and there, I haven't seen anything to get too upset about. I don't think anyone tonight has gone too far in comments, which is nice. I just think we all have a bit of nervous system overload due to what has happened. Once there has been an arrest, the tension and anger that was focused on waiting for that has nowhere to go, but you're all pretty great. I love reading all your posts and I think everyone has something interesting to add so I hope we can all stay friends!!!!

Once again I've just come back from a wonderful night out to a stack of alerts. I don't know what it is about this thread that generates more alerts than any other on the board, but anyone that knows they need to edit what they posted needs to do so now before I find it myself.

Chestergal, you not being a native may not quite understand how that area works yet.

RC grew up in the Percy / Cutler area, and at some point moved to the big town of Chester. He hasn't spent much time outside that area.

You can't fart in Chester without everyone knowing about it half an hour later, hell, I probably knew about this event before the vast majority of people on this board, and knew who's family was involved before the media did and I'm 100 miles away.

So if RC had spent a day in jail, let alone prison, it just isn't something that could be classified in any way shape or form 'secret'. Everybody in that town spends far more time poking around in everyone else's backyard than they do their own.

All I can say again is my source is older (probably the same age or older than RC)
The person has lived here all their life (60 to 65 years) and they worked for LE in the area before they started their own business. I have no reason to doubt them.
I did not get a chance to find out how old RC was when this happened because the conversation was interrupted.
If this person tells me that RC did time in the pen then I chose to believe them instead of someone who is sitting behind a monitor claiming they don't know the family or even if the father is a preacher or not - then they suddenly seem to claim they know that RC was never in the pen. It just makes me go hmmmm.... (and no I am not referring to you)

End of story for me on that subject...

I do have a problem if calling someone out in the nicest possible way is considered a no no on WS. If it is... then this is not the place for me. We surely should be able to questions another posters motives when their posts are just not adding up. This is a site dealing with sleuthing and I find it odd that we cannot question another posters motives without someone thinking they have to snitch on someone else by hitting the abuse button on them.

Oh my gosh! I hope Mr Medusa is okay?!

I too am going to enjoy the holiday weekend with my family & friends. My son leaves for the Navy way too soon so I'm trying to occupy what little time he'll let me when he doesn't have the GF around. I know i'll peek tomorrow though before the w/e "officially" starts :)

Sounds like a great plan. If I have strength I will do the same, at least for a day! We'll see. And on that note, I'm off again for awhile. Goodnight to all!

That was a very nice post Gitana. I love reading your posts, they are always very well worded.

Yeah, he'll be fine thanks. He is medicated and in bed now. He smashed a couple fingers on his left hand - 20 stitches, but, amazingly no broken bones!

Enjoy your time with your son!

I guess I should further explain myself (altho I have no idea why) :-)

I really didn't intend to ever post here. I've read (lurked) for a long time, but felt I shouldn't get involved due to the LE. I didn't want to leak anything that I had heard for several reasons - such as job security. However, this particular case really hit home.

I was looking online for info on Grace Church and was amazed at the lousy website it had and was surprised there were no pictures. Then I started wondering if it wasn't the kind of church I had thought it was (Apparently it wasn't). So I started asking questions. RC and Connie C weren't the ones being charged with murder - their son was. So there was very little info on them.

I do not live in Chester although I've been there many times and have seen the church. I also have family around Chester, but not in Chester.

Hope this is as clear as mud now. ;-) I keep intending to quit posting - then I see something I just HAVE to reply to!!!!! I admit, I'm surprised at the personal attacks on this particular board - it does seem to be more than normal.

Lets all kiss and make up - and maybe it's just time for bed?????

You still have not answered my question?
You don't have to name names - just tell me if they are Chester LE or Randolph LE?

The evidence against CC certainly seems overwhelming. I feel like he is guilty. I had a very hard time believing that he would be capable of such an act.

I am what most would describe as born again christian. However there are things at Grace Church and JMM that I disagree with. Both ministries probably had good beginnings but it seems like that in time money, power and then paranoia eventually took hold in both. And it is sad, both have helped a lot of people in the past, one of which is me. Both could be helping a lot more people today than what they are.

There have been a lot of people reaching for their spot in the lime light here. Claiming inside knowledge because they live in Chester or close to Chester. As I said earlier I lived there for over 30 years and still have many connections there. I do know that there is a lot more to this case that has not yet been made known. Some good, some not good. The LE in Chester or Randolph County know very little if any more than the media. MCS has made sure of that. Would anyone think that MCS would share info with Chester PD only to have it broadcast at the dinner table and eventually to the public? They have the Media for that.

I really feel for Sheri's family having lost their daughter and grandsons. How could anyone not. At the same time I also feel for the Colemans, they lost grandsons and a daughter in law that they accepted as their own ... and on top of that they have to come to grips with the fact that their own son probably did it. Which do you think is having a more difficult time? There really is not an answer to that question.

"who knew" doesn't have to submit to cross-examination ... pres101 gave the answer .. this is irrelevant to the memory of Sheri, Garret and Gavin!

It was reported on NG tonight that CC has had no visitors since being arrested, not even his parents. I wonder what this tells us.

It would seem to me, that if his parents thought that CC had tragically lost his entire family to some random act of violence, and was now being falsely accused barely a week after they were laid to rest, that they would have made the 45 minute drive to see him in jail, to bring him a book or something (if allowed).

You would think. I'm still leaning towards his mother knowing he was lying, suspecting he was guilty. Just watch the video when they are at the gravesites for the burial. She is no where near him, he sees the camera rolling, and pulls her towards him. It was just a strange scene for a mother & son at the gravesites of their loved ones.

"The truth doesn't change" -- Marc Klaas

One of the best quotes of our time, IMO.

Use it on teenagers, it really confuses them ;-)

Such as?

I don't understand the hatred I see for the Coleman's..it's wrong. They are victims as well, and should be treated as such.

There are no winners in this sad tale.

OMG - Now my hand is hurting just thinking about it!
I hope he has some good pain meds!

With all due respect, I think you are seeing what you want to see. It is possible she was standing in front of another casket, remembering her grandson. She could have been standing next to her son and husband when the camera wasn't on!
