I follow the thread fairly close but my life does not revolve around it. Frankly I don't see the connection between a skull on TL's page and girls bikinis.

Yes, I did. Sweet Mary, who would do this to a child??? Encased in cement... No matter who's child/person this is (I know the odds, weep), this is absolutely horrific. I'll never understand. Ever.

It appears from the comment on the guestbook for Sheri that this person was with her on the Cambodia trip. BBM .. a rather bittersweet comment about Sheri's love for Chris .... would that love be the same if she'd found out about TL??? And a poster on PD claimed Sheri was moving out to become a roommate with a friend of the poster. What did Sheri know and when?

Wanted to comment about employment and divorce in the church...
Sal, I can see what you mean by just naming one sin in the employment contract - divorce. The contract would be better served if it stated the employee is to be submitted to the Lord and willing to repent when needed.

Kimster, I just wanted to clear up that it was on the church membership app, not church employment app. You're totally right about submitted and willing!:blowkiss:

Back in the late 80's there was a split in the 1st Baptist Church in Chester, IL. Roughly 25 people from the Baptist Church left and started what was called Grace Bible Church. They met at the old Night Hawk Tavern which had been closed down. They were in need of a Pastor.

RC had recently lost his job at a local Coal mine due to it shutting down. IIRC RC was bankrupt and looking for a new start. Long story short, Grace Bible Church hired him.

RC had grand plans of building a large church was was traveling around the St. Louis area mingling with large churches and trying to find a model to follow. For a while he tried to get in good with Grace Church in Maryland Heights, MO. but did not get the welcome he wanted. In his venture RC did stumble upon an emerging Televangelist JM, who befriended RC. That is the connection with RC and JM. That is how CC got his job with JMM after leaving the Marines.

In the mid 90's as I recall Grace Bible Church changed their name to Grace Church. Not sure of the exact reason for the name change but it occured at the same time that it went from a small church to what I would term a big business.

CC is the oldest of three boys. He was half raised when his parents got religious. As a preachers son He was expected to behave in certain ways, whether he agreed with them or not.

It is possible that CC never really was born again but rather lived a lie his entire adult life. When he and Sheri met perhaps she just a little like TL,(remeber, they were friends) so far as being a fun girl to be around.( I mean no disrespect here toward Sheri) Perhaps after they were married and CC went to work for JMM Sheri had a true religious experience and was genuinely born again. In this process perhaps she became less of the fun girl that he had married. Perhaps CC was looking for a more worldly woman and fell into the arms of TL.

Perhaps too, after years of living a double life CC just wanted out. Away from the good girl that his wife had become and really wanted someone like TL.

After years of watching the double standard set at Grace Church and to some degree at JMM, he probably really thought he could get away with it. Probably even thought that the world owed him.

That was a great post with a lot of good background info on RC & CC. Gives a bit of a different perspective on what I perceived CC childhood's was, I assumed he was raised in the church. Initally it was hard to reconcile the public religious face he put forward with the acts he committed. On the edge of my seat to see additional details on this case.

Please don't misunderstand that I don't think we should discuss JMM at all...just don't think we need to discuss where her donations are going unless they pertain to this case. Perhaps I misunderstood where you guys were going earlier? I apologize profusely if someone was leading us back to CC and I had a hand in stopping that search!

Actually, I signed off for awhile when I heard about Nevaeh...and rec'd a wonderful email from a friend who helped me put things back into perspective.

WestSideGal posted the date JMM purchased it and the date JMM sold it. With that info, I found the transaction ... however, it does not match the street that the neighbor who was interviewed lives on. The neighbor said they (Colemans) had lived "just across the street"

The transaction WestSideGal found was a sale of a house to Sandra McCollom and her husband, Steve .. Sandra is Joyce's daughter.

"Right across the street is incorrect" ... the house WestSideGal gave the transaction dates for was indeed sold by JMM to the McCollom's in 2005 ... the neighbor from the news article is in a house over 1 mile away.

Yes, a clip was shown of a man in a white truck sitting outside the house. WestSideGal chose not to post the address because the house is now occupied and I commend her for that.

I thought the interest in the house happened at about the same time as the info on MM came to light and the fact that someone thought a sw was issued at CC's former house owned by JMM..........Is that what you all remember?
