Good Lord, can you imagine CC just dinking around the house, planning this thing and that, getting ideas here and there, just looking/acting as normal as can be - all the while plotting and planning and thinking this thru - perhaps running differing scenarios thru his head. Swear to goodness, we sure can be scary creatures. The facade of normalcy blows me away.

Frankly, I don't give a rat's behind about why someone would think CC innocent. It matters not to me but I will fight for one's right to think it! My mind is closed off to the possibility of anyone other than CC having done these things. How I'd love to be pleasantly, yes, completely surprised, shocked and stunned were he to turn out innocent! I'll just call myself closeminded and it's fine by me!

I'm not close minded. I want to hear both sides. All the evidence that I have seen so far point to CC so I believe he is guilty. I want to see all the evidence. I'm willing to follow the evidence.

Analytical...no disrespect intended at all...but in looking at all of the circumstances surrounding this case for the life of me I haven't seen anything that leads in any other direction. I would love to look at what evidence you have that makes you feel that CC is innocent. I am anxious for the hearing coming up as I believe there will be more evidence that will point to the real killer. This case haunts me and breaks my heart...I was married to an older version of a controlling, cheating husband who would hold a loaded gun to my face and tell me he could kill me and LE would just think it was a terrible mistake...
(he would state he was a well respected doc in the community and would of course be believed...)...at any rate, I left with my 3 children and felt lucky to do so. I always wonder if he truly would have gotten away with it...

I am so sorry that you had to live through that - there are many of us here who have gone through a "version" of hell. We're glad you are here. (And I totally agree with you!)

Yes, I totally agree about how many people go thru their own personal types of hell. Perhaps when we live thru our own version's of hell it makes us know for a fact that things aren't always as they seem...and once you peel away the layers of the onion the truth comes to light. The silver lining for me was I became more discerning and learned to trust my intuition.

There would be so many reasons that CC thought he could get away with this horrific deed...believing he had a superior intellect was his first mistake in my opinion. These type psychos come to believe they are infallible. CC strikes me as a person with a Narcissistic Personality Disorder...that type of pathology certainly explains alot of his behavior.

There are so many very smart people on WS and I enjoy you all!!!

For me personally, I just won't give the benefit of the doubt right off the bat. I'd rather think the worst of someone and be proven wrong than think the best and be proven wrong. That's, perhaps, what's going on with Nevaeh's mom right now. She wanted to give GK, that SO, a second chance which, sadly, may have ended her daughter's chances! No bennies of the doubt with me for CC. There's just way too much "writing on the wall" from previous wife/gf murderers. They begin to look stamped with a cookie cutter. Difficult to impossible to see them as innocent.

I agree Sal. You really can't 'take a chance' on giving someone the benefit of the doubt when it is a child that could possibly be in danger...no matter how small the percentage...I worked with people who had lost their children thur the court system and had to come to my parenting classes as one of the criteria for getting their kids back. I was astonished at the number of women who did just what this mom did...it was beyond belief, but it happened again, and again.
They would choose the guy over the victim and even lose their other children to keep the man...
IMO you are right on about the writing on the wall...or as my 86yo dad says, "if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...honey (meaning me)...it IS a Duck.!"

Hi all...on HLN they just announced that DNA confirmed that the child's body was indeed Nevaeh...so very sad there was no one to protect her...

Way I figure it is if most to all fish are swimming downstream and there's one or two swimming upstream, they're probably just doing it to rub the downstreamers the wrong way. And especially if they won't even tell you why they're going upstream.

While going thru my personal hell...I did learn (as people who have an illness or lose a loved one) to enjoy each day once out for the important things in life a bit deeper...even noticing that I enjoyed being able to breath deeply and not walk on egg shells... It took a while to recover emotionally and be able to trust again...but I did and now know the joy that a relationship should bring...no more pain...

I so hope anyone who knows of abuse going on will reach out to help...it really could save a life. It did mine!

But that's just it. We would all like to hear both sides, many here have asked for something, ANYTHING to support this claim of innocence yet there is nothing but crickets.

Normally when one states they believe someone guilty or innocent they will provide insight into this belief.

I said normally.

And it isn't because they aren't still here, they were just playing PM games a little bit ago................
