We're in for a very interesting day! I hope that more evidence is made available that will light the path to the truth.

Chris Coleman hearing set for today

"Chris Coleman will appear in court this morning for a preliminary hearing that could expose more evidence in the case.

At a preliminary hearing, prosecutors must convince a judge there is a enough evidence to prove the accused may have committed the crime. In Illinois, the bar is set much lower than the "beyond a reasonable doubt" that exists at a trial."

No way I could make the trip down for the preliminary, but I'm hoping to use some of my saved up vacation time to make the trip down for a day or two of the trial. Much of that will depend on when and where the actual trial will be held. They could always send it up towards Rockford, that would be way closer to me! (Yeah, I know, wishful thinking, but hey, the power of suggestion can be very persuasive)

I would imagine one or more of our kind hearted locals will be able to attend and report back. I sure hope so anyway. I really hate to depend on the news reports, they so often get things wrong and never worry about the stuff that really matters.

Sorry, I wish I could help you, but I'm usually in bed by the time these hearings are aired, I normally have to rely on the recaps by the wonderful posters here at Websleuths if I want the scoop.

I think they are going to try like H3** to get this thing to trial in the 90 day time frame. I don't think they want to even leave the option open for him to make bail! JMO

I do not think the court docket in Monroe County will be that busy.....the 90 day time frame seems reasonalble.

Maybe someone else knows....can or will the defense ask for a change of venue at this hearing today???

From everything I have read, Sheri grew up in a strong Catholic family. After her association with CC and his clan, Destiny Church and JM, she obviously strayed from her original faith.

Religious differences between families can be bitter (I speak from experience). It can cause strife and division and can lead to cutting off family members from any association whatsover. I wonder if this happened between Sheri's family and the Colemans.

I am not justifying the Colemans actions leading up to the funeral, but I wonder if this condition existed between the two families. I wonder the last time Sheri's mother and brother actually saw Garett & Gavin. Bad blood, caused by religious differences, can run deep.....

Although I realize what you say can be true, it amazes me that this type of thing happens. I guess I find it hypocritical in that religion should be about loving your fellow man and respecting your differences, not shunning someone because they choose to worship in a different setting than yourself.

I'm sorry but a loss is a loss no matter what your faith, even if you have no faith what-so-ever and no faiths grief is any worse, easier, deeper, more painful, less painful, and I could go on and on.

I'm sorry, but if your faith allows you to push aside another human at a time when they need comfort from you the most, then you are not following the word of the man above, plain and simple. And they call themselves a ministry? I won't even say what I call it.

They have photos of CC in car arriving at courthouse and have reporter at hearing.

I wonder how he will react if she is indeed cooperating to the point of having divulged information that will be used against him? IMHO, this is a place to observe whether he was "doing it for her" - or is a total sociopath. . .
