I'm sorry, I wasn't really clear on what I meant! What I meant to say is a purely hypothetical situation. If Billie and Shawn had a bad breakup, perhaps she would be vindictive enough to turn him in, producing evidence, or saying where Hailey's body was hidden. A lot of people get very revengeful after a bad breakup. They do lots of crazy things, hoping to ruin their exes life. I was merely speculating that if they parted ways unamicably, I think Billie might try to hurt Shawn further by turning him in. But who knows? Maybe he would do the same to her.

I suppose I'm just wishful thinking that the case might be cracked open before the one year anniversary....but at this point it doesn't look likely at all.

If she knew something relevant she would have done something about it a long time ago. It is her daughter after all. She remained with him after everything because she didn't believe that he did anything.

I just worry SA didnt do anything and some other girl might became a victim of the person who did take Hailey.

There are enough issues in media reports to confirm for me that no one truly has a clue ,least of all Pete and his crew.IMO. All they have is case historys and what they think. I also truley believe if they cannot get together the statements and information they wish to portray to the media then pulling a case together is pretty much not going to happen. IMO.

This case might have been able to be solved,most likely if SA was/is the culprit it would have been HAD the investigators not tried to lynch him straight out of the gate. Since they did and he was aware he was a suspect ,any hope of forming any type of trust (or image of it)with the dept failed. Cant say I would trust them either culprit or not.

I think BD has too much self-preservation to ever incriminate herself by cutting a deal against Shawn. She's slithered out of everything so far, and unless and until they find more evidence she won't say a word. So yes, unless she is on her deathbed she won't talk. :twocents:

ETA: Here's the thing - if either of them make a deal, both will still get jail time, so in their minds they are better off not saying anything to incriminate either one. And I doubt they will grow a conscience at this point.

I don't want to start rumors, but it's been all over facebook for the last few weeks that Shawn and Billie broke up and he's back in the area near his mom or grandmother.
I've backed off of Hailey's facebook groups lately, so of course with the way things change so quickly in this case, they could be back together by now.

Well, if that's true, it's a few years too late. Honestly, when are single parents going to learn that their first priority should be their children?
