Students at the University of Madison in Wisconsin have been ordered to shelter in place after reports of gunfire on campus.

According to the university's website, campus police are responding to the report of shots fired at 130 Langdon Street. The suspect was last seen heading west on Lakeshore Path in the direction of the Lakeshore residence halls.

A shelter-in-place was set up, school officials said. Madison College at 7:45 p.m. said its downtown campus is clear, but U-W is not clear. “UW PD is responding to a report of shots fired at 130 Langdon Street,” the university stated, referring to university police. Officials responded at around 6:45 p.m. local time.

Shots fired at UW Madison, police give "all clear" after two suspects detained

Madison police say they detained two people after a robbery erupted in gunfire yesterday. They say the robbery wasn't random, and that there's no danger to those on or around campus. No one was hurt during Wednesday's incident.
