Mrs G, I love your toilet paper doll. My mom used to crochet those and many other crocheted items. (I used to think they were kind of creepy though.) The afghans were really very warm, even thought they don't look like they could be with the spaces in them. I never knew what a lost craft it was until I moved to a big city and nothing, absolutely nothing is homemade as no one has the time or knowledge.

I wonder if JA's family didn't show up for the jury question/reading of the non-verdict as a DT/family deliberate attempt to manipulate.

Specifically, if the DT believed it was very likely a verdict would be reached that Thurs [as many of us believed] and JA's entire family was hours away visiting the Grand Canyon, was there even the slimmest of chances that JSS would hold over the reading of the "verdict" until the family had returned? In an attempted delay tactic? Giving jurors more time to reevaluate whether or not they could each live with their individual votes and maybe one of them might have decided to change from the DP to life?

Then, when the reading of the non-verdict went forward, the delay plan failed so JA's mother stated what she did about her absence - whether she was truly nearby or not. Regardless, if JA's mother was indeed nearby, there was no good reason why she did not attend. JMHO

I used to go into so called haunted places when I was a kid hoping to see something .. any kind of apparition would have done me, you know, a little levitating .. something .. had a friend who used to lie on his back lawn screaming at the sky for aliens to 'COME AND TAKE ME', anyway, neither of us were successful in our attempts to see anything 'unknown', not for lack of trying.

I keep trying to get my DH to go to the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs with me. It's supposedly haunted :ghost: , including the entire floor where Al Capone stayed when he gambled there, back in the '30's I think it was. I want to go there on Halloween, but so far I haven't been successful. My DH unfortunately isn't as intrigued by this kind of thing as I am, says this kind of stuff scares him too much... :scared:, :giggle:

OK, so the slaughtering convicted murderer is in isolation 23 hours a day having her meals served to her in the cell - She can use the one hour per day for a shower, exercise, or phonecalls. She isn't allowed to have visitors, right? (Besides the cockroaches she has already trained)...

I THINK she is allowed visitors...very limited except for her attorneys. I will try to find out for sure if someone hasn't already.

I was watching something the other day on NatGeo and it was on that branch of the FBI that used to use psychics .. well they had all their results looked over by a group of psychologists and turned out that they could have got all the same results by throwing ideas randomly at a dart board, so funding ceased and everyone was sent home. Which may explain all the psychic tips during the Caylee case .. lots of out of work 'seers' out there.

that's my understanding too, convicted felons cannot have visitors in the estrella jail. might be because they don't have the security of prison? She isn't taken out to use the phone either, the phone is brought to the cell.
When she goes to Perryville, she'll get 2, 30 min visits, 2 times a week, behind glass, since the visits are noncontact. It's going to be hard for her family, to commute such a long distance for such short visits. I'm convinced she is a psychopath. For her loved ones i'm sorry. I think it's too bad besides having the death penalty or lwop. there isn't a cyanide pill option.

So, you truly believe that the Court didn't contact the family with whatever phone number they provided to the Court? Judge would NEVER make that kind of mistake, trust me.

Yes, but it really wouldn't have been an appellate issue in any case, so it could have happened that way.

Yeah, looks like we'll never know. The person that told the truth in that relationship is dead.

I wish Travis had confided all these things to someone like one of his sisters, his brother, Chris or Sky Hughes, or DeAnna. He was probably too embarrassed that they would judge him for staying with her and taking it for so long....I'm pretty sure this is the reason he didn't wanna tell anyone the whole story. It's just like what ALV said (except of course she had the WRONG VICTIM)...people who are abused don't want to admit it because they're afraid people will think they're too "weak" and will judge them.

I'm sure none of his friends or family had a clue of the extent CMJA was using Travis. So sad...who knows maybe one of them would have advised him to go to the police and file a report??

Yeah, I don't get it - if the Court did or did not obey JA's wishes (e.g. contacting her family), what sort of legal recourse would she have? At what point does she lose all her manipulation chips?

Also, regarding the "Travis Alexander's" T-shirt - didn't she say on the stand that she got rid of it because it might make her look obsessed YET she took a photo to "memorialize" it? She was so....

Right, she does not believe in the death penalty for herself yet she is entitled to inflict death on someone who "abused" her....

NancyGrace is very pretty she is older and as gained some weight after having kids.
But I did gained weight after my daughter was born and at 56 years old I don't look bad but I sure don't look like I did many years ago in my younger days ...NancyGrace has helped so many people and as been though a lot in her life time plus she is the only TV channel I get my news about cases on other than here where I read daily and enjoy everyones posted if not for her and you all I wouldn't know anything and could not keep up with the cases.
