You could take this behavior and flip it: How many times do we see/hear of a female who has been repeatedly mentally and emotionally abused by a male and gets fed up, only to take the man back because they honey/baby'd the woman? People with personality disorders can hone in on just the right buttons to push to get what they want, for sure.

I agree that this "go away go far far away/no let's get it on" behavior probably turned some of the jurors away from DP. The behavior of people with PD and the subsequent behavior of the people they victimize often defies logic in the eyes of stable, adjusted people who have not had the misfortune of dealing with people with PD.
