Do you have your Minicooper yet?!

Exciting!

Yes! Thank you it was a long tiring day! The one I thought I was getting and that got its tint yesterday was already sold to someone else... So I have to take mine back for the tint later...this also has the bonnet stripes, but they aren't too bad.

Watching it too. I was stunned to hear how many of the horses in the race are descended from him.

Everybody wanted a piece of that Secretariat glory, but alas there was only one and I think God intended it that way. I have a Thoroughbred mare who raced that has Secretariat bloodlines and Triple Crown winners on both dam and sire sides. She raced prior to my owning her. She is fast, which makes her hard to catch when you want to bring her in!!

Secretariat had a stride of 26 feet which is huge. What is incredible is that in the Belmont, his fractions got FASTER instead of slower which is typically what you see. My husband was talking to some guys about sports the other day. They were debating who was the greatest athlete. Of course, Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan and other names were thrown out. My husband said Secretariat, and the guys paused, looked at him, and said Yeah, he was right. Secretariat was the greatest athlete of all time.

I've heard that said about Secretariat before too, that he was the greatest athlete ever...

My dog lost his mind when I parked it in the driveway... When I took him out he wanted to lift his leg on one of the tires...I stopped him, but it won't be long before he claims it as his :seeya:

Marlap, How did your mum get along today? Any new beaus! :blushing:

Just think of all the hurt, pain and how lives would not have been destroyed if the killer had just kissed and said goodbye to Travis.

He probably thinks it's a Great Dane! :floorlaugh:

Mom is okay...thanks for asking...her resting heart rate is 40, which accounts for the passing out.

They gave her a chemical stress test today and her pulse never got above 67....

They are changing all her meds and may put in a pacemaker Monday.

No male nurses for her to flirt with when I was there earlier today... :floorlaugh:

:seeya: did anyone get back to you on the July weather? I was there 10 years ago over the 4th of july and it really depends if its raining. I would take a light rain coat, I was glad I did. There were some chilly evenings!
