you know I thought the same thing and then I saw how Joran Van Der Sloot is engaged, gets sex when he wants it, gets to smoke pot, and buy goodies while in the Peruvian system, and I begin to think prisoners have it easy sometimes. I still believe in old fashion chain gangs for JA. And for Van Der Sloot.

I was on the grand jury that indicted sloot in Alabama. He's a piece o work! If he gets out alive, he will be extradited back here to stand trial for wire fraud. He damn did it alright, murdered NH, but not enough evidence on that.

HI Everyone,

I have been lurking for the past couple of days and not posting. Hope you don't mind if I join you today. It is raining cats and dogs. What a cool, dreary spring we have had. I haven't been out to the strawberry field yet because of the weather. Guess I will go on Saturday. The weatherman says it will be sunny. I need those strawberries for Fathers Day. I hope they are not all sogged out like they were last year.

Hoping the strawberries are good. Brings back memories of childhood, eating more strawberries than went into the basket, just blow 'em off and pop into my mouth. LOL, those were the days!

I am going with my daughters and 4 of my grandchildren. The grand kids ages are 1 yr, 18 month, 4 yr and 5 yr. It will be a messy afternoon. Told their moms to bring them aprons or at least dress them in clothes that they don't care get stained.
When I was young my mom made the short cake with the round sponge cakes. They were good, especially when the juice soaked into the cake. When I met my DH, his mom made them with Bisquick. Hot biscuits with butter and strawberries. I don't care for the whip cream on mine. That was the first time I had them that way and it is the way I prefer to make them now.

Mmmmmm, that looks scrumptious! Lots of fond memories of going with Mom, taking my my kids picking berries. Once, when my oldest was about 4, we were all in the blueberry patch picking, at a U pick then pay. Mom and I were chattering away while son followed close behind. At the weigh in we got so tickled. We hadn't noticed his little mouth with blue on the corners, and just as we were paying he let out the loudest burp! lol, I said to the lady there, uh, maybe we shoulda weighed him before we started! they cracked up!

If you ever watch MSNBC, they have a show called "Lock Up". They show prisons around the country. They also go international. There are some prisons in Europe where the inmates can go home for the weekend and another prison where there is a kind of a zoo/botanical garden where the prisons can wander around. It had a peacock in it.

Make them here that way too. Never did get to like those little sponge cakes.

There is much evidence he hasn't in many ways unfortunately. Many in the state who have had to deal with the system see through it. Others don't see anything wrong.
JA prob would do ok in max.security. She is a chameleon, she adapts. Prisoners have to in order to survive.

I agree. I don't buy the idea that she'll be the little cell block prom queen surrounded by adoring acolytes. Jodi likes to put on airs, she's almost addicted to it, and that is the one thing someone absolutely should not do in a prison environment. It just begs other inmates to prove how far they can cut you down.
