After i got over the immediate offensiveness of this request, I had a good chuckle. So Arias wants a do over? Darryl Brewer was all too willing to speak for her and the DT opted instead to have him go on television for an interview that would be broadcast across the nation. Patti had the opportunity but found herself with her own legal problems and had no issue going on television for her fifteen minutes of fame. CMJA had her opportunity and because SHE blew it, she gets another chance? Can JSS really be that gullible?

I saw this morning that Lifetime is going to be airing a movie on this case?? Seriously, Why?

As well, I saw that <mod snip> Nurmi and Wilnott want to move the case to Jan. because there are holidays and other cases they have set for trial.

What are the chances the Judge will step up and tell them that because of the nature of the case etc., everyone will not get holidays and cases set up for trials will have to be postponed?

Darryl Brewer said in his media interview that in his opinion Jodi should not ever be allowed to leave prison. Don't remember exactly how he worded it, DO remember being surprised at what he said. The undercurrent to me sounded like he was afraid of Jodi.

Where was he interviewed?

Guess we should have expected this. It's so strange that the Defense, to my knowledge, never addressed why DB didn't speak. During the interview, with his face showing, he said he was ready and they didn't call him. Shouldn't that fact negate this argument of theirs?
This filing makes it sound like all witnesses were threatened. Had her great friend Patty not gone on TV during the trial, nobody would have even known about her. I sincerely hope these stall tactics don't work. I also hope, since she's now a convicted murderer, that she's stuck in her cell 23 hrs a day.

All I have to say about DB is that it was easy for him to give an interview, as he was NOT under oath and that would have been a different story (ie. as in his testimony back in the day). He's a coward and I really don't believe he is a supporter of JA the way she is today. I think it was clear that he did not recognize the person she is today and I think he was trying to distance himself from the whole thing.

They are gonna have a HUGE problem trying to find any mitigating witnesses. And, if the DT doesn't even want to allow any of her family to testify .... well ... WTF .... what is THAT about?? Actually that's probably because of the LE interviews where they both (Arias Mom/Dad) incriminated her and suspected her of the crime ... or at least were not surprised. IDK .... weird ...

I was on the grand jury that indicted sloot in Alabama. He's a piece o work! If he gets out alive, he will be extradited back here to stand trial for wire fraud. He damn did it alright, murdered NH, but not enough evidence on that.

Hi Karraster.. I would love to hear more! I followed the Holloway disappearance very closely from day one. And like everybody else, absolutely despise that creepy JVDS. Please feel free to share more, whatever you feel is appropriate. The whole wire fraud thing is bizarre... surely he knew he would get busted for that. Or was he just so desperate to get money that he didn't care? What was he thinking?

In your opinion, what piece of information convinces you that he murdered NH? I think we all collectively believe that he did, but curious about your thoughts as you have had the opportunity to observe him closely.

I think she is so upset because she got involved in wanting to testify.
It is her own fault. She put herself in that situation and should have known better. Now she has to suffer the consequences for being associated with Jodi.

I'm watching JVM and have a few thoughts....

Adam Swickle is a slimeball and just wants to be on tv. (he's on her panel for the defense) Yuck.

Jon Lieberman's passion is very attractive to me :blushing: I really like how sensible he is.

They just did a phone interview with Patti and she explained why she didn't testify for JA. I'm not sure what to think of this girl. A part of me almost felt kind of sorry for her. Maybe I'm naïve like that.

Since we know the substance of the testimony that Darryl and Patti would have given on the stand or in chambers, the two attorneys that originally called these two witnesses know that too. They are well aware that neither had anything helpful to offer and in fact would have added more condemnation of the convict. Due to this knowledge, the motion is ill conceived and untrue. It is insulting that they are attempting to sell this fiction and I hope the court takes umbrage. The defense, whether in May or today or next year, has no one to speak for their client except themselves.
