:blushing: Where is this chat room that you speak of?

Hi. Just read about your precious little girl. I am so sorry. Your web page for her is beautiful. May God bless you and help you each and every day.

The two, Marilou and Tara, said almost inaudibly that Diane would be with them tomorrow. These women are alienated from the verdict pronounced by their foreman, disappointed and troubled still by it. Don't you think that what may have been the atmosphere in the jury room was distilled by Zervakos? Once elected, he may have made it clear that dispute and argument were off bounds. That each & every juror was to be respected and his or her opinions not to be assailed. I suspect (strongly) that he used the force of his personality to convey those were to be the rules. All of that is polite and civil but it also suppresses the opportunity for achieving consensus fully explored. It is not dynamic, it is static. No thoughts, no opinions, no assessments, no analysis, change, not one fleck. What happened to true deliberation where jurors consult with one another and weigh alternatives? NO! You may express your opinion but to defend it goes too far as does any objective criticism, however kindly stated, of another juror's opinion. Such limits & "discipline" imposed by the foreman explain the closed and set expressions of the jury as they exited each day. Thinking about what went on in the jury room, I've learned something I won't forget. If you put a cloak of order and civility on a process and do it in a very meaning way, you go a long way toward controlling the outcome. It is not a pleasant prospect to contemplate. The impression and the lesson are indelible.

Thank you so much and I totally agree.

You're NOT overreacting. That was very creepy and innappropriate. I'm glad you called to woman to make sure she wasn't alone. I would also call the company this man works for and tell them you were very offended and put off by his comments.

I was ready to cry ive never been put in a position like that before.
I couldn't just let the poor woman that he was taking them to deal with that if she was alone.

Pepper spray sounds like a good idea but knowing scotland it would be illegal to carry it although 15year olds go about carrying machetes

Probably not as bad as I am thinking it is.

I sold a large chest of drawers on gumtree (like Craigslist) I use them all the time and no problems. The person that bought them had to hire a man with a van...he arrives everything is fine, ive bent down to fet the last part is going out the door and I hear him say stunning about three times, I say nothing of course and he follows that up by 'it was all worth the journey just for that' assuming he is referring to my cleavage which to be honest is practically non existent. I slam the door shut and and he continues to try and say things to me.

Im a grown woman of 26 but i live alone with my two kids (2 and 4)

Oh and this guy was at least 60 id say and just had one of those looks about him.

I called the woman that had bought the drawers to make sure her husband was with her after that.

I'm overreacting right?

no. No. No. If he comes back, call the police or sheriff immediately. He is a creep and could be dangerous.

Everyone sells it here - try sporting good stores, hardware stores and even gas stations. Ask around. :)

I don't know; hanging out with my WS Family. :rocker:

Looking forward to the hearing tomorrow and the cheezy Lifetime movie. :seeya:

Hubby and I don't have cable TV, therefore no Lifetime channel. I read that most likely the movie "Dirty Little Secret" will be available on YouTube in about an hour after it is shown on Lifetime. I hope so because I am uber curious as to how they portray JA and Travis Alexander.

I really hope the movie doesn't portray Travis Alexander as an abuser.

Has anyone ever seen the movie Play Misty for Me? I watched it yesterday for the first time, even though it's an old movie. I wonder if that's what it was like for Travis? This chick was a real nut. Sorta reminded me of the movie Fatal Attraction.

I don't know a thing about chat rooms but wanted to say I am enjoying reading your website. Emma was blessed with the best Mom! And I think you are cute as a button in that cap!

I will be back at your site to read more, until I have gotten all caught up. You are a terrific writer. I am glad you are able to share through the years.

She did remind me of prisoner 2013. Using sex and threats of suicide to manipulate him sounds familiar.

If you look at who posted a reply you'll see ALV's daughter (?) saying Juan is a liar. I guess she couldn't take her mama being exposed. Hmm it was her wedding that ALV had that working wedding weekend to visit Jodi all those hours.

Now if ALV had been unbiased and done her job, taking it serious enough and interviewed people on all sides and not just take Jodi's word then I'd have more compassion for her, but she didn't and I don't. Again Travis is the victim not ALV.

I am really hoping CMJA will take a deal of LWOP if offered. The thought of having the Alexanders going through a mini trial, dredging up all this sadness and horror once again just seems unimaginable. It is time for this to end and just be done. I don't ever want to hear her name again. JMO

I agree with you because of two reasons.
1- is they could delay this until 2014 which is crazy
2-the NEW jury could end up not deciding either and it would go to the judge in that case, and there is a chance of LWP with the judge.

So I agree if LWOP is offered, I hope she takes it, but knowing her and her defense team, there is no way they will ever accept an agreement for LWOP. She is thinking she is going to get off of the whole thing somehow, so I doubt she would ever agree to LWOP.

So, that leaves retrying the penalty phase as the States only option if Jodi never accepts a deal for LWOP.
So, I hope the state does re-try this and QUICKLY. There is no way they should let the defense delay this any longer. They had years to get ready and they can clear their own calendars to fit this in. They can move other things to fit in this retry.
And, I hope a new judge directs this new one as I think a new judge wont put up with half the carp we saw.

I don't think JA would agree to LWOP either. She craves attention and she will get more attention at the new trial. I know Juan did a good job but to me he failed to emphasize the true sicko wacko malicious Jodi. Please don't throw rocks at me. I think the Defense purposely caused delay after delay to prolong the trial and increase the chances of the jury getting confused about details.
Of course all of this is my own opinion and maybe not even worth 2 cents.

Yes it was. My daughter actually (currently, and still) treats Amber Frey's dog (at the Vet's Office).

respectfully snipped...

I don't know why, but this just made me LOL. That is like a B class version of six degrees of Kevin Bacon.

Just teasing you :giggle:

The review I read earlier said the movie doesn't show Travis as an abuser at all.
