My mom is 81 and had a spoon, paddle, fireplace broom, and pulled my hair once when I was 9. I recall it like it was yesterday. When I tell her that it is now considered child abuse, she insists on saying "Look how well you turned out". :floorlaugh:

My children are 24,22,19. Timeout was becoming vogue however their hands did receive the occasional swat when they ran off in the parking lot or in the street. One could have used time out jail.
