Is your name Mrs. Arias (wooden spoon in purse!)

Heavens, no. My mother use to have a wooden spoon and a broom :floorlaugh:. But her favorite thing was pulling hair :floorlaugh:

My mom is 81 and had a spoon, paddle, fireplace broom, and pulled my hair once when I was 9. I recall it like it was yesterday. When I tell her that it is now considered child abuse, she insists on saying "Look how well you turned out". :floorlaugh:

Don't do that. My mother would say "don't give him too much importance".
Where's that spoon? :floorlaugh:

My mother pulled my hair when I was in college- in front of all my friend .
Child abuse- pffff. My older son tried to pull that on me when he was young (it was a "new" concept in the '70s). I told him I'd give him "child abuse". This was a dictatorship and I was the dictator :floorlaugh:

I was so rotten when I was growing up. My mom used to tell me "I hope you have kids just like you someday!"

My children are 24,22,19. Timeout was becoming vogue however their hands did receive the occasional swat when they ran off in the parking lot or in the street. One could have used time out jail. :)

Mine had a fly swatter and a belt. Luckily, she didn't run as fast as I did, lol.
