My new question:
If you could be anything in the world professionally, what would you be?

hmmmmm.........independently wealthy? :floorlaugh:

Ok, I don't know if that is actually a profession. :floorlaugh:
If I wasn't "RED" (retired, extremely dangerous), not by choice but mental bull chit, I would be back operating heavy equipment or training horses. I like being challenged and being outdoors.

Stay safe. One time we were having a bad thunder storm. One of our daughters woke up and said she smelled smoke. We went looking around the house. The smoke smell was coming from her room. Evidently, lightening struck her curling iron, which was plugged in. Melted the medal.

Evening Bernina :seeya:
When I was younger, I wanted to be a painter- portrait and then a nun.
I don't know what I want to be when I grow up :floorlaugh:
I was suppose to be a teacher- that didn't work out.

Hey y'all! It is hot as hades here. Heat index 107 and a code orange. I can't breathe when it is like this so inside I stay.

It would be a bad hair day, but I found the magic of the Brazilian Blowout. It lasts 4 months on my very thick, coarse wavy hair. It keeps my hair poker straight so I can truly be a prepped out middle aged plump short woman with great hair.

I love y'all so much, you've been so kind and given me such wonderful advice, but it's nights like tonight that I wish I had more female friends. I'm in such a crummy mood, can't stop crying. When is this feeling going to end? I really need to get out/away for a night. This sucks.

Oh Bernina, I love the smell of horse manure. In 1985, I went thru Kentucky via Lexington. Went to Spendthrift Farm and took a tour. I was the only one who stood in the stall of Seattle Slew and you guessed it. I took a piece of greatness with me! The guide thought I was nuts.

A Brazilian blowout? Never heard of that. No offense, but when I hear "Brazilian" I think of those nasty JA pics! Ewwww.

Brazilian Blowout?????

Yes and it is not a wax! It straightens Caucasian hair and lasts 4 months. It is pricey, $350 but for me, it is a God send. I get it done 3x a year and it does not interfere with my getting blonde highlights. It takes about 2 hours or so for my hair dresser to do it and we have to wear a mask for part of it. It is Hair Heaven

M, we are your friends. The feeling will go away. Obviously, this dude filled a void. Just think how happy you will be when the right guy comes along. (((()))

Hey m. If you need to talk it out I'm here. Wish I was closer to where you are. We would be rocking a club, and dancing the night awayl

I am so glad you found the source of smoke. That is really scary. Did the lightening cause a power surge? I make my girls use the GFI outlet so it shuts the breaker off.

m, you need some gal pals to do something or nothing with ... anyone you can invite over for a movie/popcorn night? Throw some burgers on the grill? I worry about you taking Benadryl to make you sleep. Have you been to a doctor lately for blood work? You're so young and sweet to be upset so much. Maybe join a club to meet others ... book club, exercise group? What hobbies do you like? I mean this with sincere concern! We all care about you, dear. :)

Evening Bernina :seeya:

I was suppose to be a teacher- that didn't work out.

Knew at 12 that I wanted to train horses, with my BFF, have side by side Arab horse ranches, and I was going to marry her brother, a year older than me. We were so connected: my mom was bathing me and Jon in the tub while their mom was having Cathy in the hospital, we all started showing ponies and then Arabs together, total animal freaks, and loved to draw. We were all connected at the hip!

Cathy got Leukemia when she was 11, thought she was doing ok, in remission, 5 years under her belt, but her folks were keeping the truth from me. She died 9 days before my 16th birthday. It really messed up her brother Jon, and me, we both got terrible death wishes, lost track of each other, he decided he was gay (so I'm supposed to think I did that to him? LOL! He was my first love!) and died of Lymphoma at 30.

But.........I did train horses professionally, now I just do it for fun. I do dream about Cathy and Jon, usually part way through some adventure, I tell them, "Hey, you're dead!" and they just tell me their keeping track of me! Their dad and I touch base every few years, he's such an awesome guy. He and one of his other daughters have an organization that goes to Africa to help children. I send him pics of me and the horses, and we cry, but it's all good!

Off to the shower!!!!!!!
