Wish we could make M feel better. What a lovely young woman..

I love y'all so much, you've been so kind and given me such wonderful advice, but it's nights like tonight that I wish I had more female friends. I'm in such a crummy mood, can't stop crying. When is this feeling going to end? I really need to get out/away for a night. This sucks.

Ahhhhh, m.
It'll get better. We're here, maybe you can't physically see/touch us, but here, nonetheless.
Let me tell you a story.
In the 70's, I went with a man for 8 years. We broke up. He told me he never loved me! He lied, I guess, all those years. We practically lived together. I didn't understand what was happening. I lost so much weight that I had to be hospitalized. I was a mess. We still saw each other off and on for a year while he was seeing the girl he left me for. One day, I just realized that I just couldn't continue this way and told him "don't call me, I'll call you". I never did. It took me so long to realize that I was an idiot.
The time will come when you will feel better- just takes time.

Oh Bernina, I love the smell of horse manure. In 1985, I went thru Kentucky via Lexington. Went to Spendthrift Farm and took a tour. I was the only one who stood in the stall of Seattle Slew and you guessed it. I took a piece of greatness with me! The guide thought I was nuts.

You are nuts! :floorlaugh:

Daisy, my fun flower, do the horse drawn carts in Charleston use manure bags behind the carriage horses? Saw that in 1989. Philly and NYC didn't at the time. Since you are a flower, what do you think manure is good for? 3 guesses

Off topic but the president's speech was so wrong in every way.

I am so glad you found the source of smoke. That is really scary. Did the lightening cause a power surge? I make my girls use the GFI outlet so it shuts the breaker off.

The breaker did shut off.
Years ago I had just started a job. Daughter #3 was a little over 2 years old. My mom was watching the girls for me. I get a call from mom to get home. Something had happened and mom doesn't tell me what. So, I leave work go home to find out that Daughter 3 put a key in the electrical socket. Mom said it threw my daughter across the room. The breaker shut off electricity to that room. Thank the good Lord my daughter was just fine. Attached to the key chain was a plastic cross, which got melted to the wall.

Yes, the tourist horses are geared with the bags. Now I know what to get you for Xmas! :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Good Lord! Are you related to Ben Franklin?

Funny

No, it was scarey. Mom was also watching my youngest who was only 1 at the time. I guess 2 little kids was to much for her or to fast for her to handle.

Bless your heart. That is scary. Thankfully, she was ok right? Scared, no burns or cardiac problems?

No "sneak peeking" here, Zuri! ;) I took my chances on a baked potato...we'll see how long it lasts. lol

I appreciate the helpful thoughts. I think because this was the first healthy relationship I'd been in for so long that the breakup is really doing a number on me. I'm so stressed and sad....so ready for this feeling to be over.

Benedryl has been such a lifesaver this week....I found myself waking up 3 hours before my alarm was due and not being able to get back to sleep before it. Not a good habit, I know.

Definitely need to fill my spare time...my mom has been on my case for QUITE awhile about this. Whether it be a part-time job in the evenings or volunteering...something. I'm such a homebody though. By 5:00pm I'm ready just to be home and in my comfies.

Nothing was wrong with her at all. She was back to playing when I got here and my father in law had been called by my mom. He lived close by, so he checked everything out including my daughter.

I am Canadian, so our politicians do not get involved with things like this because a jury made a decision
you agree with the jury. In politics leave any high profile case like this alone. No president should get mixed up in this. And he should keep his mouth shut.
