A friend wanted me to go to the beach today. I politely said Heck NO, to hot for me. I use to sit at the beach all day long in my younger years. The temperature or humidity didn't matter much to me then. As I have been getting older the humidity...not so much the heat, bothers me. I could of never have stayed on the beach today. Besides that, long exposure to the sun gives me a rash on my ankles. IDK what that is about. I use to tan so nice.

At the Jersey shore, the sand was 110 degrees. Sea breeze, freezing water. Crowded with people. I watched it on TV. Always loved sitting by the ocean before 2009. I relaxed. Ahhhhhh!

Wrong because of the subject matter or because that he spoke at all.?
Both. There was a jury who acquitted him. So he is really undermining the jury. And that
is wrong for a president to say. He should stay out of it.

No "sneak peaking" here, Zuri! ;) I took my chances on a baked potato...we'll see how long it lasts. lol

I appreciate the helpful thoughts. I think because this was the first healthy relationship I'd been in for so long that the breakup is really doing a number on me. I'm so stressed and sad....so ready for this feeling to be over.

Benedryl has been such a lifesaver this week....I found myself waking up 3 hours before my alarm was due and not being able to get back to sleep before it. Not a good habit, I know.

Definitely need to fill my spare time...my mom has been on my case for QUITE awhile about this. Whether it be a part-time job in the evenings or volunteering...something. I'm such a homebody though. By 5:00pm I'm ready just to be home and in my comfies.

Your mom sounds wise- listen to her.

The breaker did shut off.
Years ago I had just started a job. Daughter #3 was a little over 2 years old. My mom was watching the girls for me. I get a call from mom to get home. Something had happened and mom doesn't tell me what. So, I leave work go home to find out that Daughter 3 put a key in the electrical socket. Mom said it threw my daughter across the room. The breaker shut off electricity to that room. Thank the good Lord my daughter was just fine. Attached to the key chain was a plastic cross, which got melted to the wall.

Oh geesh....I was notorious for sticking bobby pins in them........because I liked the way it shocked me!!!!! Maybe it fried some of my brain cells? :floorlaugh:

Benadryl is not a problem as long as you hydrate. Melatonin works well too. I remember those days. I went and got golf lessons since men like golf. I went to basketball games, football games, boat shows. Old school. Golf was the best way to meet guys! And no, I never met Tiger, :floorlaugh:

You did it more than once? Wow! You didn't get scared?

I agree. I watched while I was home for lunch today. So inappropriate on so many levels. Don't even get me started.

I thought I was the only one so maddened by it. Just so wrong. Good way to start riots again. He should know better.

Milo, the cat, could care less, but The Queen is a mess when she hears thunder- poor baby. She is just one shaking fool :floorlaugh:

My Pom hates the thunder too, and we had a good thunderstorm last night
We have to pick him up and carry him to bed. He shakes until he throws up when it really storms bad.

Something about the spark and everything turning off, I was more fascinated than scared, I know, totally strange. And yes I did touch the gas burners on the stove when they were lit............I had to find out stuff on my own, maybe it was an early sign of "trust issues" :floorlaugh:
