My sister visited Germany a few years ago, she was very emotional when she came back to the States. She didn't take pics and was very vague in her descriptions of what she saw.

I remember after 9/11 the stories of people who were in the right place at the right time. For instance, there was a woman (?) who wore new shoes that day and they were hurting her feet so she decided to buy bandaids before she went to work in one of the towers. That extra stop saved her life.

God bless him. That's like what I said about my grandpa and my dad...I cannot imagine the horrors they witnessed.

It's heartbreaking to think about.

I was raised Jewish so it hits hard on me. The family on both sides were from Russia so none were in Germany. My dad's father was running from the Cossack's in Russia and made it to here in 1902. (not sure how to spell that?

My grandfather was a prisoner of war in Hong Kong in WWII. He wouldn't talk about it either. He had a journal, but my oldest Uncle got it when he died. I never read it.

My mom heard some things, and she told us a little bit about what he went through. They were tortured physically and mentally. He was 85 pounds when he came back. I can't imagine what he went through.

Princess, have you read the book Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand? I've read it 3 times. Eye opening, educational, heartbreaking, and inspirational all in one. I think everyone needs to read this book. Let me know if you're interested, I could send it to you.

If they let this woman off for her part in her husband's murder, there is no justice. She should have to face trial for her involvement.

I don't get this....not at all. My only guess is that without Hemy Neuman's testimony they really had no case. Sad. She definitely should stand trial as an accomplice to Rusty's murder.
