Thanks all for the entertainment, especially the Willie songs. Story: A few years back, a Broadway musical was in town. My son's friend had bought hugely expensive tickets for himself and his mom. The mom came down with the flu, so my son went along with his friend. He noticed that the man in the next seat was wearing an orange leather jacket, then he noticed braided hair, then he realized it was Willie Nelson. All by himself, just watching the musical.

The Holocaust is the biggest thing in history I'd eradicate if I could. Even learning about it as a young teen, I saw it as incomprehensible that it happened. So far beyond tragic that there's not a word for it.

I've tried searching the forum/threads and could not find a reference to this show. If it was posted before I missed it, and so may have others. It was filmed in the same facility that held JA during the trial (iirc.) I have not watched all episodes so I don't know if it shows the pod where 1st degree murderers would be held.

And I take it that today is Travis' birthday, so it's good timing.

I have to thank Travis. It is because of him that I found WS. In finding WS, I have been enlightened, educated, welcomed. I have made some virtual friends that I look forward to hearing from every single day. I have learned to have dialogue with others who may not see my POV or who share it. I have posted about things that I have not shared with my family, in the safety of anonymity. Because of Travis, I have grown as a person, just when I thought all my growing was pretty much done. I have reached depths of compassion that had remained untouched for many years. I have been the recipient of prayers and kindness and caring, and have done the same in return.

My life has been forever changed. We know not the ripple effect our words and actions have most of the time, because sometimes the most minute gestures have the greatest impact. I think part of TA legacy is just this. Opening our hearts and minds and becoming better people for it. JMV

Had a house full of teenaged girls shrieking like hyenas until the wee hours and knocking me off-line with the wi-fi on their phone every three seconds...grrr. Can of RoTel or jar of picante sauce
Shrimp

Honey butter sounds good!

And key lime pie for dessert (as long as our teenagers didn't find where I hid it after supper last night)

Cooking ribeye steaks on a mesquite fire. Sautéed mushrooms and loaded baked potatoes.

Nice dinner after a long week in Corpus Christi

Haven't got back to you, last thread closed. Mi Tierra's carne asade is/was an eight ounce ribeye with a tomato based gravy, beans, potatoes and a guacamole salad. You could taste the butter in the sauce. It wasn't thin and watery, and not as dark as chili carne carne gravy.

I'm looking for one like it. I'm getting tired of fajitas. We have a new La Michoacana Meat Market that has pretty good marinated skirt steak and he's been grilling the last the three weeks.

I mentioned here last night just before 8:00 p.m. that she hadn't twitted in 3 days (longest she's gone in a couple of weeks), one hour later (according to the time on it) it gets posted. Is someone reading here??? lol
