My husband wants to get rid of all the horses so he can buy a power boat. He really likes this Hurricane so I am being dragged out tomorrow to take a ride in one to see if it is comfortable. I am not a boater like you and he, but I like being on the water. And I like cruises! :floorlaugh:

Keep the horses and get the boat. If you can. I could never trade a horse for a boat.....Our Auburn Women Won the National Championship - Here's a clip:

Happy Tuesday evening! :seeya: I have to share my good news...I got a huge promotion at work today. I'm now officially a crop insurance underwriter! Please don't ask me what that entails because I won't know until tomorrow when they start training me lol. I'm beyond elated! Finally my hard work and extra hours have paid off. Woohoo!

Wow, I wonder if that has anything to do with harvests? You're going to have to tell us all about it tomorrow!!!!

Ugh, I cant find anything am looking for. There sure is a lot out there. I'd like to read her dads statements again. I'll look into that tomorrow right here on WS.. I can say many people do not take kindly to Jodie .:floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :seeya::offtobed: I cant sleep but dont care to sit alone either:floorlaugh:

JMO........I understand that this is a pro-victim forum. What I do not understand is the utter disbelief that I see in most posts, that a perpetrator, or a convicted murderer would try to spin the truth to save themselves from the vengeance of "society". The DT Always has their work cut out for them. They MUST advocate for their client. In this case, they had to scrape up witnesses for the defense. They thought they had a doosey in ALV! Who knows how many people "experts" they combed through before they found her? They did dream up a plea deal before the trial started (plead to 2nd degree) but no way was JM going to accept it, for obviously good reasons. ALV was a witness for the SOLE purpose of finding domestic violence in the relationship and blaming Travis. She knew what the job required and did nothing more. It wasn't her job to look at ALL angles. She was NOT privy to all the evidence, just very selective evidence. I personally think that she's a fool, but she did what was required of her. She may WELL know the truth NOW, but I'm not convinced that she knew it at the time of her testimony. (I also think that the "death threats" aren't keeping her away, rather, DT doesn't WANT her, because now she would HAVE to perjure herself). If they want her, they can subpoena her..........

Does anyone have any info. on whether JSS "officially" impeached her or not? B/c if JSS officially did it, then that would mean she can't legally be an expert witness anymore, is that right? But I would think it would take more than one time to actually take away their "permit" or whatever allows them to be expert witnesses...I mean I'm thinking they probably get like a warning the first time and required to take some court classes or something?? I don't know, just guessing here.

I guess what I'm saying is that does anyone know for certain yet what exactly happened with ALV? IIRC, JSS had kept that part sealed.

Oh and Ms. Randle made a good point...that was NOT a death threat!! The person said I hope you choke on a chicken bone. Hoping and doing are two different things.

And if ALV is getting her panties in a wad over mean e-mails, she needs to develop thicker skin.

JMO here but I saw ALV on HLN last night boohooing about how sad she was that the masses hated poor Jodi and that ALV was TERRIFIED because someone called her fat and said they hoped she choked on a chicken bone or got hit in the face with a bat. Not quite death threats and I've heard worse on a daily basis from my psych patients. She STILL believes poor Jodi was a victim and now she is SO anxious! Sorry, she got paid for her dirty work and I don't feel a bit sorry for her or JODI!

See that's thing. She is crying about threats against her and her family, but when she read some of the tweets, those did not sound like threats to me. They were very nasty and mean and should not have been said, but they were pretty par for the course on the internet in a high profile trial like this. It really epitomizes to me, her always a victim slant. Poor her, people so mean to her, no one else gets talked to like that...bull. Ted Rowlands also misleading the media saying Patti is not coming back because of the death threats. That may have been what the defense is saying, but Patti herself tells a different story.

But...where are the death threats or even the threats at all?

I love Dr. Kristin's article. She said very well what I have been thinking.

What exactly is a "domestic violence expert?" Well, she knows she is a person who works with victims of domestic violence. But she also seems to feel that is more qualified than anyone to look at any situation and say whether or not it is domestic violence. She thinks she is more qualified than anyone (and Martinez exposed this masterfully), to look at a text, email, instant message, or phone call and make the assessment, in her very expert opinion, that it is domestic violence.

We know what abuse is. We know it when we see it. We know when we see physical, psychological, emotional abuse. We don't need someone to come up on stage and interpret it for us. Especially when that someone sees abuse in everything (and especially when it's a man). In every innocuous, throw away comment, in every innocent action, she sees it. It's like pulling the race card every time something doesn't go your way.

Travis asked her to empty her voice mail box but didn't say please. Abuse. He once didn't call her for three days. Abuse. He once did something mean and apologized. Abuse. He once did something mean and did not apologize. Abuse. He borrowed money from his girlfriend once. Abuse.

Kick and hit your mother? Not abuse. Squeeze a cat so hard it claws you? Not abuse.

And she wonders why people aren't buying it. So shocked she is that no one just accepted her expert opinion that she had a nervous breakdown. Living in lala land. You can tell she thinks very highly of herself.

She figured she could get up there, with her "trained brain," and opine about all the abuse poor little Jodi suffered and why, in her expert opinion, she believes she was abused. Why she chose to take the word of a liar. She thought the world would just eat it up because of what a wise old owl she is. She made herself look like a fool. Absolutely. She does not and will not ever understand what she had done. In her mind, she is still right. Jodi was abused. Travis attacked her. And, not in so many words, he deserved it. Forget the evidence. Forget the facts. Forget the lack of corroboration. Forget that Jodi continued to lie and lie on the stand.

But what is really frustrating is that she got one. The Foreman. He bought into it. However, he pretty obviously was looking for anything to exonerate Jodi, so he was more susceptible to this BS. The rest of the intelligent thinking people know the truth.

"Alyce is back on the airwaves complaining. She thinks people should just accept her as an unchallenged expert. Well she can complain all she wants to but it will do her no good. People just aren’t buying the nonsense that she’s gotten away with selling for all those many years."

ALV was "had" by Jodi big time. It's plain to anyone who watched the trial. The sad part is that ALV still does not get that part. jmo

so i finally got the guts to take off my boot, they said i can take it off for sleeping etc but i was scared to right away.....this is whats under there. i know it was bad but didn't think this bad. i can put my foot down without the boot and it isn't sore now so onwards and upwards!!

ITA, it's just inconceivable to me how a mature person who is in the business of domestic violence could be so gullible and naive to be taken in by someone like CMJA. Which leads me to, how can ALV even come close to being what is considered an "expert" ? I think in her case, what she is, is someone who likes to talk and promote herself. She started calling herself an expert so she could be able to speak at these seminars, etc. A true expert would have seen through that liar within minutes, imo.

thats pretty much what my friend said,he said it looks like it belongs to a dead body.

gotta get worse to get better i suppose.

felt like my leg was floating on clouds when i took that thing off it was so light.

ALV let drop in her interview that she knew going into her testimony that Samuels had been shredded. However, she wasn't supposed to be watching the trial before she testified and, if I remember, she swore under oath that she hadn't.

Drives me crazy the way CNN/HLN chops up interviews into snippets. I've seen the main one, but I've also caught other bits of her in this interview. Have not seen the her commenting on Samuels.

Thanks for the info and I'll try to keep an eye out for it.

MeeBee, completely agree with everything you said. Also, I will add to yours and say that now she has even MORE of blinders on b/c now she feels that we as a society are "persecuting" her (CMJA) for no reason, just like she told CMJA. She thinks that people are just out for her "blood" so to speak. So now she sees herself as some kind of "protector." Disgusting.

kinda like a used car salesman or something....oh yeah, maybe that's why Formean and ALV got along so well...

Josie...that looks nasty. Imagine it still hurts a lot? Poor you. :(

The only broken bone (out of 5) I've had bruise anything like that was my collarbone. Your leg still has a lot of beautiful colors to come if it looks like that now. So sorry for you.
