now I want to see it as my father was a dentist
I especially love Don Cheadle in this, he was his college roommate in dental school. Excellent movie, on encore right now :seeya:
scmom, are you anywhere near Orangeburg? "Linda" from the BECKER sitcom is from thereAnd Thomas Gibson from Dharma and Greg sitcom is from Charleston, and went to College of Charleston. He's spotted downtown sometimes during the summer when he comes home with his family for vacation. A friends daughter saw him in an ice cream shop once.
just making conversation![]()
No, I'm up the road a ways. More toward Greenville. I do enjoy reading, sometimes ya'll are hilarious, sometimes serious, but always real.
you should jump in more often!
I don't get EncoreIs it out on DVD?
Thanks, daisymae. That's a nickname my father used to call me. It's nice to see a group of women supporting one another through bad times. I can relate to many things I've read here.
m - sorry for my late reply, work has been busy. Please consider us a support group for you no matter what you're going through. Life is not easy for most of us, and I know what it's like to be depressed. It seems to me you need someone to talk to, and we're all here for you. :grouphug:
It's from 2007, so surely it is. It's kind of hard to watch, painful. Sandler"s character cant accept the loss of his family, has never grieved. So very sad:cry:
I second this. M, I suffer from depression too and understand your feelings. We are all here for you. I know I cannot talk to anyone family or friends about my depression, so I come here.

Take it from me, Daisey, it's a whole new personna for him. I've always liked him though, so I could be a little biased.![]()
Reading along and listening to music that went with 1967. A time of turmoil and unrest, not only in the world, but in my life. The world changed that year. Israel was in a conflict with her neighbor, Syria ,and other Arab nations around her, and she won that war in six days.
Gus Grisson. Ed White, and Roger Chaffee died when a fire broke out in Apollo 1 when it was on the launchpad, Jack Ruby, Alice B Toklas and Spencer Tracy died. Otis Redding would die the day after my sixteenth birthday.
Albert De Salvo would be sentenced to life in prison, and Richard Speck was sentenced to death.
The Beatles released St. Pepper , the musical Hair opened, and there was a Human Be-In San Francisco in Golden Gate Park, and Monterey Pop at the Monterey Fairgrounds.
It was the summer of love that was filled with hate. America was in a war in Vietnam, and here at home. It was a war that changed many young man forever, my boyfriend/engaged to be, came back from his first tour and was someone I never knew; he would do a second tour and we finally ended our relationship in December 1969.
Charles Manson was released from prison and started growing his family. Sometimes I wonder if I could of been one of the family. If I could of been deceived like many.
Anyway 1967 has been on my mind a lot this month.
