And this, my friends, is why you DON'T TEXT WHILE DRIVING! I got rear-ended by some idiot who was texting and didn't see me stopped with my turn signal on. He was going at least 40 mph, didn't even hit his brakes :facepalm:. My car is likely totaled.

That stinks. Are you OK? I am sure you are shook up and madder than heck. If someone calls or texts me while driving, I always find a safe spot to pull over. Geesh, I hope that person learned a lesson.

Yeah, I'm okay. My boss took me to Urgent Care right after it happened just to make sure. My neck is sore but that's it, thank goodness. The doctor said it's probably a good thing I didn't see the vehicle coming in my rear view mirror, otherwise I would've tensed up.

I almost had that damn car paid off, too. :stormingmad:

I don't talk on the phone while I'm driving (mainly because I have terrible hearing and get too frustrated!), and I'm not coordinated enough to text while I'm driving!

Glad you are fine. I know someone who texts while driving and this person is an adult who knows better. This person is just gambling with their life and maybe a life of another. What can be so important that a person just can't pull the darn car over? There is no excuse. There is always a side street, a driveway, a parking lot, a shoulder within a few minutes away.

Don't sign off with them until you make sure you are ok, they cover everything etc. They will low ball you but you are in the position of power.

M, I am so sorry. Hopefully, the other driver is insured as well. So glad you are ok. Did this happen today? More than likely, the other driver's insurance company will settle with you and you can make up the difference for a new car if you need one. Don't sign off with them until you make sure you are ok, they cover everything etc. They will low ball you but you are in the position of power.

Looks like you have a long line coming your way. It seems to be moving north east and it may very well miss this corner of the state completely.

The cells do look pretty intense on the radar.
