Someone in the other thread said Juan did. I don't know how to tell.

Can't tell from the docket. We have to rely on the media for reports or access to the motion.

An educated guess would be that it was filed by the DT; they have typically been the ones to try to delay anything. If Juan needed more time, I would have expected him to file this earlier in the week.

The purpose of court on Monday is to hear arguments according to the court calendar. Judge Stevens has enough motions in front of her that she should deny this motion so she can at least rule on some others that are pending. MOO.

Time to get some momentum behind this trial. :waiting:

Gcharlie, How is the weather your way? We are getting slammed with thunder and lightening, the kind that makes you jump and go "Wow." Torrential rains also. Looks like a larger cell behind this one.

That's the kind of storm we had here- that wiped out our electricity for 5 hours yesterday. Our dog was just a bundle of nerves (and so were we :scared. We had more rain this afternoon, but it didn't amount to much.

Mom burns her daughter's body in a barrel. Claims her daughter fell off a potty seat ("commode?) and hit her head on a heater?
It's so sad because this 2 year old baby was taken away from her mom and given back to her. The mom has other children.
I'm so - I don't know what!- about all these people who kill their children Think I have to stop watching the news- it's too heartbreaking for me. :sigh:

Looks like you have a long line coming your way. It seems to be moving north east and it may very well miss this corner of the state completely.

The cells do look pretty intense on the radar.

I scooted over on the radar screen and I see it coming! We are in for it during the night, heavy cells too. Oh I hate this!! It's coming from the West and Canada over Lake Erie..Busy night. And this, my friends, is why you DON'T TEXT WHILE DRIVING! I got rear-ended by some idiot who was texting and didn't see me stopped with my turn signal on. He was going at least 40 mph, didn't even hit his brakes :facepalm:. My car is likely totaled.

Oh m1279 I hope you are ok..that is a hard hit, we had one years ago. I dont do anything when I'm driving.When I smoked I never did when driving. My mom always told me~ concentrate on what you are doing not what someone else is doing!!:facepalm: All the States must start heavy fines for it and also lose license for a year. I believe it is okay to talk about what is going on with he and his wife today as long as it does not get into a discussion regarding the past trial. Once that starts to happen with others it's "snip, snip". lol

Thanks for the o.k. Lambchop. I was unpacking and found a paper saying, Zimmerman found not guilty. I think Zimmerman is going through a lot of emotional problems. I have a really bad feeling that something bad may happen with him.

Goes to show that Casey Anthony wasn't the only bad mom out there. Each and every day another child is abused and nobody notices or doesn't give a darn. It's just makes my skin boil. Look how we went from over 900 views a day when Arias was on trial to just 5 or 6 people if your lucky. Please if you suspect someone is abusing their child or even their animal do the right thing and call someone.

A loyal and protective dog helped alert parents to an abusive baby sitter in South Carolina.

According to WCSC, which originally reported the story, the dog began exhibiting aggressive behavior whenever the baby sitter, 22-year-old Alexis Khan, would approach the couple's then 7-month-old son, Finn.

By this point, the baby sitter had already been employed by the family for five months. The parents, fearing the worst but not wishing to act presumptuously, hid a camera phone between the couch cushions.

Their worst fears were quickly confirmed.
