Hey everybody, did you all have a nice weekend?

yes, how about you? how was the shore? we had my daughters 2nd bday party which was fun. i drank seltzer water the whole time even though the beer was flowing (you know how 2 year old bday parties are lol). Yesterday I had to go through all her presents and write thank you notes. I'm anal about them, if I don't do them immediately I will keep putting it off. Today the kids have their 2 year old and 9 month old drs appts...gahhh that should be fun, not! thank god my mom works there, she has off today and is coming with me so she can watch one while the other is getting checked. hub would come but he works night shift and gets home at 5 am so I figured I'd let him sleep

Just finished watching the finale of Dexter- not happy with the ending.

Me neither!!! I'm not sure how it could have ended that would have made me happy though. I love Michael C Hall and am grieving his exit from my TV screen already.

I was happy with the ending where his boat is shown going into the storm- and that would've been it. I would've been satisfied with that- Deb's death and Dexter's demise. I didn't need the lumberjack scene at all- too far-fetched. How did he get out of the storm- with the boat all destroyed? Although I don't know how far from the shore he was? And what happened to Deb's body in the hospital? People will ask questions- I mean, even tho' there was the storm, unless the hospital was destroyed (and even with), her body should've been there or somewhere. And that lovely boy of Dexter's- Harrison, with that Psycho, Hannah- OMG What will become of him!!! lease:
Anyway, I guess I'm being too picky- it's just a TV program. (thank-goodness) :floorlaugh:

A 60-year-old woman is under arrest in Missouri in connection with an alleged child abduction case that took place nearly 13 years ago in Florida, authorities said.
Sandy Hatte, who is related to the child's family, is accused of kidnapping an infant back in 2000, according to the Livingston County Sheriff's Office.
"The dad was working, came home from work, and [Hatte] was gone with the baby," Detective Eric Menconi of the Livingston County Sherriff's Office told ABC News. "He hasn't been able to find them since."...

Authorities have not released the name or gender of the child, the father's name, or the state in which the family currently resides because of safety concerns. There is no information to suggest the child was ever in danger, the sheriff's office statement said.

This mustache dress is horrible! I thought Anna Gunn looked beautiful in her gown. Claire Danes, Padma Laksmi also looked beautiful. I don't understand why many of the actresses wore peach from the 2014 Spring Collections. It is fall! Poor Tina Fey had a nip slip. I didn't watch as they seemed kinda boring. I did look at the fashion pics online. IMO

so we had my daughters 2nd birthday party on saturday. It was really fun, mostly families with kids, but we do have some single friends who came. One of my husbands single friends is dating a really creepy girl. She basically stood in the corner the whole time, I offered her food, drinks, etc...went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable. She was so strange. The biggest tell tale sign was when i brought my daughter and son over to say hi, who are both the friendliest happiest kids ever, and they both didn't even smile and ran away! (yes my 9 month old is running, although he looks like frankenstein when he does haha) Well, I went out front to check on my one friend who was having a cigarette in front, away from all the kids. At this same moment, this crazy girl my single friend brought comes running out the side yard. I asked her if she was okay and she looks at me and says "ARENT YOU PREGNANT?" in regards to the fact that I was talking to a friend smoking a cigarette. I responded "you can leave now and don't ever let me see your face again. they say children are the best judges of charachter and you completely creeped my kids out you gold digger!" (yes my single guy friend who brought her makes a lot of $$$). I never get upset or angry usually but something about her rubbed me wrong. Later that night, when my single friend came back, I told him that she reminds me of Jodi Arias, and I was being 100% honest. I told him she scares me and rubs me the wrong way and has some sort of personality disorder. Yes, I can't believe I told someone the person they are dating reminds me of Jodi Arias but I felt it needed to be said... ok rant for the day ended!

He came back two hours later without her and apologized and told me the girl felt really bad and wants to apologize. I said i didn't want her apologizes and she is not to come around me, my husband, or children again. I told him he was playing with fire with this chick and if he wants to get burned that's on him. He then went on to try to rationalize her behavior. I was hearing none of it and told him to have fun when she ends up pregnant (she claims she cant get pregnant...load of BS if you ask me, oldest trick in the book) in a few months and takes him to the bank for all he's worth.....yep, my pregnancy hormones are raging in full force.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was disappointed in the ending of Dexter. Why did they have to kill Deb? I have to watch it again to see if I missed something. They left me with more questions than answers. I hope there is a movie in 3-D, and it leaves us feeling we got our 8 yrs. worth.

Wow, that's the first time I'd heard the actual song and realize it's quite good. That Dido has a beautiful voice. CMJA butchered it so bad, I had always thought it was just a really, really bad song, lol.

I agree, with her disturbed thought processes, she probably turned the song into her own sick reality, so had a lot of meaning for her. :stormingmad:
