Does anyone have any movie sountracks that they like?

My favorite is from Wuthering Heights with Ralph Fienne (1990's version). I watched that movie at least 20 times and couldn't find the soundtrack anywhere. Looked for it for years (only came out in Japan), until my older son found it for me 5 yrs later on ebay. he didn't win (bid up to $235 !!), but some people emailed the winner. The winner was kind enough to copy the sountrack for everyone.
I was so thrilled to receive it from my son, but was more thrilled that he remembered I wanted it. Love my son.

Composer is Sakamoto:

I love Sakamoto! He did the music for Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence starring David Bowie (another bonus)!

I am down here in your neck of the woods too...you must have been from the 9th ward? Or close? I worked on the rebuild of the Superdome...those were the worst of times but have some good memories from it as well....

I lived on the water in Slidell and he lived in an apartment but we were both wiped out. The cruise ship was for "essential personnel" such as firefighters, cops, and others needed to run the city. My love was a captain with the NOFD.
Indeed it was such a tragic time but there were so many good memories for us as well. We both lost everything but found each other so we were content.

It's only taken me almost 5 years to get up the nerve to post :blushing:, so in awe of everyone here! I do read every day though.

Anyway, wanted to add one of my favorites (hope it's not already been posted, kinda behind on this thread as I wind up downloading songs y'all post & getting lost in them)

This version by Eric Clapton & friends in Concert for George:

I am so sorry...my ex hubs company did the roof on the dome... I catered their food as you know the situation with finding food down there...had to go thru National Guard post everyday to deliver.

Ha I'm near NOLA too. I was going to UNO when I got diagnosed with Crohn's and had to leave school. That's cool to see someone else from South LA on here.

The real voice behind that song is:

And this story explains the confusion of the song and how it came about.

Thanks Ricki, that's another great driving song!

Can't leave you without dropping a little memento (like not returning a borrowed Tupperware empty):
