Hey there mein Funkmeister! I tried, I really tried but I could not stay awake til the bitter end last night - passed out in front of the computer, waiting for my fix... now that I have it:

I always wanted to ask, are you related to Maroon 5?

(yoo hoo YESorNO, are you awake???)

I saw Chicago a lot in the early days, lived near many concert venues and they were cheap - especially when paid for by a brother. Both of these bands opened for them for different tours

Doobie Brothers- Long train running - YouTube

LOVE THE DOOBIES! LOVE THIS ALBUM!

Listened to it constantly rotating with Dire Straits (LOVE LOVE LOVE Mark Knopfler):

Wait a minute - I missed that part...

So, The Beach Boys opened for Chicago???? That seems like an odd combination, doesn't it? I mean, I guess it shouldn't shock me considering all of our eclectic musical tastes -- but in a concert?

Anyway, sending you these:

Yep, I think it was 1975ish, Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City. Also saw them at the Garden but can't remember if it was the same year. I know I saw them at least twice together but the memories are very fuzzy. Did I mention that I think I loved the 70's :hypno:

I think they were a good match together, both bands were masters of harmony although I think nobody can touch Brian Wilson in that department.
