Breaking news on HLN ... Madeleine McCann was spotted alive a few weeks ago by a very credible witness. Nancy is on TV right now.

Well I hope it's true but she would be 5 years older than when she was taken. Hard to believe someone could be positive it was her. I believe she was taken by kidnappers who sold her to someone looking for a child.

She would be very easy to identify due to a discoloration in her eye. IMO

I only caught a brief part of HLN discussing this. They were discussing that she could of been adopted through a black market adoption agency, so I guess kidnapping is not out of the question, that is if it is her and this is credible news. Time will tell as this story unfolds.

I am pooped out and have a massive headache. I have been to the dentist, the eye doctor (that is where I got my massive headache), to the Dermotologist (he is such a cutie) and Walmart. $600 for new glasses, unbelievable. I stepped out of my ultra conservative and got some somewhat modern frames. I had to have someone pick them out for me because my eyes were dilated and I could not see. I hope I like them.

My son had to go to jury duty today.
Wonder if they'll pick him to be a juror?
He's not thrilled about it, but I told him to think of it as a new experience.
If they don't pick him, he won't get called for another 6 years.

As for the government shutdown, it happens due to laws created by Congress and signed into law by the President. It's that simple. This current shutdown came about with stop gap legislation put into place setting a deadline to iron out differences. That deadline came and was re-extended without a solution. So the government has been shut down. What remains to be seen is if we default on debt. This would have significant global ramifications and I hope that no elected official is foolish enough to even consider this as a possibility.

God, I too hope this doesn't happen, as they say Social Security benefits will stop!!! :scared: I couldn't pay my rent... lease: don't be that stupid Congress!!!

I had my 2nd interview today. I think it went well. The president liked the questions I had. Both of the interviewers were pleasant. gCharlie, you were right. I did not get an answer yet. sigh... It is between me and one other woman. I should know by the end of the week, maybe sooner, if I will be employed by them.

Mollyandme, please let us know what the doctor says. Retained fetal tissue can cause a big time infection and you defintely don't want that. A D&C is a sure fired quick way to ensure that does not happen. I am so sorry you are going through all this.

hello everyone, haven't posted in awhile but wanted to give you all a quick update. the dr thinks im having a miscarriage. when i went for my ultrasound there was no heartbeat and the measurements weren't what they should have been. i go back tomorrow to make sure. haven't had any miscarriage symptoms yet but i think all the stress im under could be part of the reason. dr said if it is a miscarriage and my body doesn't handle it on it's own i will have to have a D&C which i really do not want. I find out for sure tomorrow. If it is not a viable pregnancy (which i have had a gut instinct from the second i got a positive test that something was wrong) then he will give me 2 weeks for my body to try to pass the tissue, then if that doesn't happen I have the D&C.

The weird thing is, I'm not that upset. Maybe that will change later but I know how common these things are and I know it happens at this early stage for reasons only Mother Nature knows. Now is not the ideal time for me to have another baby, my body isn't ready I don't think, especially after that c-section. Anyway, just wanted to let you all know. I will come back tmw and let you know definitively.

Aww sweety I am so sorry. I have been thru it 4 times. Yet I am blessed with a boy and a girl. Yes everything happens for a reason. Seems you are dealing practically with your head. Sometimes your heart needs a bit longer. Your on the right path. Hugs.

Maybe the defense is still trying to convince CMJA to take a deal? That could be why they need more time. Of course she will not, and who cares. More chances at a DP verdict. She really likes pushing her luck.

Allergy season has started for Autumn. I have a big allergy question for anyone in the know.

I have severe skin allergies and usual nasal/eye allergies. My central air/furncae unit went out in my apartment due to leaking, the landlord is having someone work on it. My face is starting the blistering rash that makes me look like a Klingon (no joke) and scars, right between my eyes. It is because of the increased humidity and dustmite activity and the mold that is now growing on the firewall material inside the unit, where I put the air filter. Anyone know of anything I can safely spray on that material, that is non-flammable, and get rid of the mold?

The only sure thing I know that kills mold is bleach. I would put cortisone cream on your rash to try and get that cleared up. You may have to combine an anti-fungal cream with it like Lotrimin along with the 1% hydrocortisone cream to see if that makes it clear up faster. Most skin reactions to mold spores are allergic reactions and should respond to cortisone cream. Anti Allergy meds like Allegra or Zyrtec may help minimize the allergic response. Air borne mold does not normally cause a skin reaction. The skin rash is an allergic response to the mold. HTH

I am highly allergic to mold and yes the only thing to kill it is bleach. If the creams are not working ASAP try Benadryl tabs. They attack the histamines racing thru your body. Sometimes best to treat internally and externally.
