Is anyone in the Phoenix area time zone? If you see Troy's report, please post about it. I am in Eastern time. I am so curious as to what this is about, who the cell mate is, and if this complicates her trial. Can she face charges for wanting Juan killed? She would if she had actually made a deal and paid someone. If it is just a wish, well, I guess prosecutors face that threat daily. Troy's report will likely be live, huh? I will look at that link to see.

Curious try this. There is a lot on the page. I think the news of her wanting to kill JM. would be heresay in court. IMO JM. love her? he is a man of integrity..wouldn't touch her with a 10 ft. pole..IMO. :seeya:

We already had one person from NY who decided to seek revenge for JA by planning to kill a well-known media personality after the trial that found her guilty. Would not surprise me if she had a long hit list of people.

We also know there seem to be a group of people who will do just about anything for JA to support her on the outside. She is, indeed, very dangerous and that may be why the judge wants to keep the cameras out of the courtroom during the next phase of this trial. jmo

It's just ridiculous that we don't have a date for the sentencing phase of the trial yet. It's been so long now that I rarely even think of the trial now. HLN and I have moved on to other cases I guess. I hate that we will not be able to livestream it also after investing so much time in watching it, following the trial, now to be cut out of the final phase is a huge letdown for me. :(

I wonder if all this is true about Jodi wanting to put a hit out on Juan Martinez and the other folks. And her asking why Juan didn't love her??? OMG, how can anybody be so narcissistic??????

Hi Nore! :loveyou:

JSS can't set a retrial date until it is known whether JM's current trial (Richard Chrisman) will go ahead with the retrial date of Jan. 27th (as it's scheduled now), if there's no plea deal and that retrial goes forward, it'll be 2 months before JA's penalty retrial can begin. The judge's hands are tied, she can't set any date without knowing if the prosecutor can attend her retrial.

I think that former inmate might have more worries than any of those on JA's death penalty list. lol

Has anyone been able to find this cellmate Cassandra Collins in the court system? I've tried, but do not come up with a hit on the right person.

Someone is saying she is Cassandra Phea Collins DOB 10/28/1963 and she was found mentally incompetent to stand trial. I cannot verify this.

There is a Cassandra Collins in the court records, but she shows a DOB of 1980, which is much younger than the woman interviewed by Troy. This younger woman was busted for pot years and years ago and was not in jail at the same time as CMJA.

I was hoping to learn the charges against her and when she might have been a cellmate of CMJA.

I watched the clip and it occurred to me that the cellmate speaking to the media is dangerous too and I sense a book deal in the making. The cellmate can say anything and it's not like anyone would believe Jodi's denial or question the possibility that Jodi wanted to put a hit out on JM or whoever.
In any case my hinky meter went off the charts watching the clip. It may be true but the delay in reporting that peoples lives were being threatened is very troubling. Thank God JM and Samantha are safe. If anything happens though, I hope the cellmate is the first person brought in for questioning.

Idk, I found her to be somewhat convincing, maybe just a good liar? Of course I can see she could have her own agenda, but on the other hand it really does sound like JA.
And if this woman is really being truthful, she'd best be watching her own back. Could that be reason to hesitate in coming forward? Jmo

My guess is she may have said something to prison officials before the trial and they turned that information over to the attorneys. It could be, too, that she has told this story to a number of friends and someone finally called the news station and gave this woman's name. The news group did seem to do a thorough background check on this woman before they released their interview with her so my guess is everything checked out.

To be honest. I don't think there is much JM doesn't know about JA and her plans. Seems to me they caught the man in NY pretty fast before he had a chance to do anything drastic. Bet JA doesn't sneeze without them knowing about it. jmo

I found the cellmate...her name was misspelled. The correct name is Casandra Thea Collins. She has been declared mentally incompetent by the courts, and if I read the minutes correctly, it appears that this has happened several times. There are countless references to mental health services.

She has been charged with harassment and stalking  How ironic.

Troy Hayden reported that he confirmed with the Sheriff's office that she was a cellmate of CMJA. It looks like this might have been for about a month spanning October to November 2011 or another month long period of incarceration from February to March 2012.

She had a public defender. My gut says she must have serious mental issues if the jail and court system paid so much attention to her mental status.

Not everyone with mental issues lies. Some are quite honest. I will say one thing for her, she did not go running to a "rag" paper trying to sell her story unlike a mother of a certain person we know. jmo

She sure seems happy to be away from that situation though, eh? I wonder how much she knew about Jodi's case at the time?

We still don't know why her phone records back to Jan. were subpoenaed.
Well, since it was the defence that subpoenaed them, perhaps it was to disprove Jodi's accusation in her motion to discharge Nurmi as legal counsel, that she hadn't spoken to him since May. :twocents:

BBM - Yes, she went to one of the exact same reporters that also interviewed Jodi. :twocents:

Just catching up.

I don't doubt that CMJA said what her cellmate claims. Inmates are full of bravado, and CMJA certainly has made it clear she says a lot. Odd that she does not understand that all she says simply hurts her down the line. You would think she would have figured that out by now, but no she must :tantrum: and think everyone will fall at her words, just like dear old mom and dad, teachers, friends, anyone that never called her out on her :tantrum:b.s. all life.

Eh, she is no threat. She is mouthy, and was probably looking for some sort of simple fix or hook up. Such a common creature.

:moo::moo::moo::moo:

I want to see her psych evals! She is either nuts and violent or one of those people we call "perma buzz", you know, their thought patterns are like those of people really drunk or tripping, but it is natural and 24/7 for them. I want to see the psych evals now!

The defense probably subpoenaed the records so they'd have something else to have a motion, drag it on more. The Judge should have stuck to her first order, starting in July!!! All the motions are ridiculous anyway. Justice should only give in so much. :banghead:
