So, is anyone having a hard time getting in the Christmas Spirit? I am trying :) :christmastree: :sleigh: :snowman: :santahat: and to help me out a little, I have the cable channel on Christmas Carols most of the day while I'm working around the house. Yes, that's right :christmastree: :sleigh: :snowman: :santahat:

So, the song they just played is from "Sing Along With Mitch", and when I saw that I'm like, OMG, I'd forgotten it, and then I'm thinking, am I the only one that remembers it ?

I. Am. Dated. :floorlaugh:

Mitch Miller "Must Be Santa"

Then I just had to check for more, and there's this. Good Lord, what year is it? :floorlaugh: I seriously used to watch this on TV with my mother, LOL. :floorlaugh:

Oh no I love Christmas. Once Halloween is by with I am dying to get my tree and decorations up. I lasted til the 22nd this time. Going to buy new lights for the windows tomorrow and that will be me done.

So who watches the walking dead. I am still reeling. Daryl was extra hot though, I know who I'd be tagging along with in a zombie apocalypse

I DO, I DO!!
Nice siggy gif btw Josie :loveyou:

I am a bit shocked, but I have grown used to them killing off main characters so not quite reeling, lol.
I kind of expected Herschel to die, but thought they would keep the Governor around more because he is just THAT good to watch!
I have to say I am learning to deal with it better, I remember when Dale died I was like NOOOOOOOOOOO :tantrum:. Now I am learning to deal with it like a good post apocalyptic zombie world survivor.
And YES, Daryl was and is always hot. I am still waiting to see what he will do about Carol, I know he is going to want to find her.

Oh the joy of knowing JA has no idea what it is like to look forward to Sunday evening TV. No Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Homeland, Boardwalk Empire, HBO comedy shows....she gets nothing unless maybe she reads about it in magazines. It's a little thing in the scheme of it all, but the little things are what count.

PS- I don't think Judith is dead. I know the car seat had a lot of blood, but I think she is going to end up still being alive somehow. Or maybe not....

I actually screamed when he first slit his throat....I never liked hershal in the beginning but I really came to like him.

I think I'd be michonne in that situation I'd be quite handy with a sword :floorlaugh:

If daryl is ever killed off I may never recover.

I don't think Judith is dead either, those little people were moving her to be safe but I dunno

What's going on with jodis hearing today?

As we were watching I said to my son "If they kill Daryl I am done with the show". Extreme, but I love my Daryl that much!
My son told me the funny thing is Daryl was not even IN the comics that the show is based on. They created him for the TV show. Very smart move.

No clue what is happening with Arias and her motions today. Honestly she is doing the world a favor dragging this out, because the more it goes on the less interest people will have in her and her case. Oh Irony, the attention she craves is being pulled off of her more every day :seeya:

I do kind of feel cheated though, I've waited 7 months to see the retrial, and likely will have to rely on tweets and reports. I want to watch it live and see Juan get back to work on her. That is WHEN it finally gets to court

I just spotted this. What else is new?

As long as she is sitting in a room 23 hours a day all alone,it is good,,this would be terrible if she was in regular population,as before the trial, she would be having fun, singing, ect, ect.that would then bug us all, So let them delay all they want, people are losing interest, and she is being punished all the while.

Jodi Arias fades from view as case veiled in secrecy

PHOENIX — For months, Jodi Arias was a television staple, every minute of her murder trial broadcast live while cable network commentators railed nightly about the case. The now-convicted murderer took to the spotlight in celebrity style and embraced the attention at every turn as she spent weeks on the witness stand and did a series of media interviews.

But Arias has vanished from view since her trial ended in May, and the judge has done a complete about-face. She has shut the media and public out of nearly every hearing in the case and drawn complaints from First Amendment lawyers that she has gone too far.

“The trial court has gone from transparency to blackout and bewilderment,” said attorney David Bodney, who represents several media outlet, including the Arizona Republic, fighting for transparency. “There have been repeated flagrant violations of the public’s constitutional right to attend proceedings.”

Very well said Hope4More! I hadn't thought what Thanksgiving must be like for her, but it must really suck to be her, today and every day. I bet she will be lucky to get a little peppermint stick on her tray for a Christmas treat. :jail:

Only a peppermint stick for the butcher's xmas? Oh stop....you're breaking my heart. Ummm. Not.

I'm thinking it's possible the butcher is still able to fend off reality. She has at least some money in her commissary to use to buy alternative food. She can still buy pencils, make tracings, and smugly announce "limited edition" tracings for sale. She still can dream that she won't get the DP, that she has a day in court coming that will turn everything around.

In short... enough props to delay reality sinking in. That's sweeter, come to think of it. They better put her in a padded room when she first gets to Perryville cause that girl is going to blow when the big door closes behind her.

Still no date set for retrial. Sigh.

All of these motions and delays are intricately intertwined with first and sixth amendment rights and the integrity of a trial by jury of one's peers. To me, it almost becomes a circular argument if you don't believe in the integrity of a jury.

If you believe that people are basically honest and will be truthful during voire dire and abide by the admonishments of the jury, then media coverage should have no influence on the jury's decision(s).

Likewise, if you don't believe that people are basically honest, then no amount of jury vetting or limitations on media coverage matter.

Unless someone is a complete fool as a juror and broadcasts during or after the trial that they were a rogue juror or researched the case, its fairly difficult to prove juror misconduct or a tainted jury.

Still, defendants' rights are protected by the Constitution. There are many people who have been charged with crimes that they did not commit and for this reason, the protections guaranteed by the constitution are necessary, IMO.

Like it or not, CMJA has made herself one for the history books in so many different ways.

CMJA is not free, is behind bars, even if it is not the facility she should be in. She can not hurt anyone that is free, only those she wants to fight inside is she so wants to. Because of her antics and those of her attorney's and so called family and friends, I hope some laws are changed to benefit the true victims....she is not a victim....Travis' and other families in similar situations are the true victims.

CMJA is nothing....
MOO

Well there goes my spirit! :( As most of you know, I am looking @ 2 knee replacements. My right knee just gave out, and I took a tumble, landing on it. If I'm off line, please don't worry. I'm in the bed. Need prayers!

Tulessa,
I am so sorry. Will keep you in prayer.

Gcharlie,
I like your post. I don't see CMJA as a defendant of anything any longer. She has been convicted. The only thing left to decide is how long she spends in prison. Under our Constitution, and I believe in it one hundred percent, she shouldn't be able to hold off the penalty phase any longer. I disagree with JSS on so many things. Let's see, she murdered him in 2008, right? So the State of Arizona, or taxpayers, have dealt with this for five years. The judge needs to get on with this. All these hearings with nothing being accomplished is bull.

Does "Fml collapse" mean the family collapsed? Sad. Sad.

So sorry to learn of this. :(

Hope that you are not in too much pain or discomfort....and that you have some great people taking super duper care of you!

I'll cheer you on from here whenever and however I can. :seeya:
