It's not so much a convicted murderer for me to trust the cellmate's words, but that Arias is a proven pathological liar. I have been around people with mental issues, they have been open and honest when I've talked to them.

Yes exactly. To quote another poster, during the trial she was downright "skeery"! So I hope JM does have some sort of protection because of nutcases who follow her.

Good ruling. Now if JSS will shoot down that request for a change of venue and set a date for penalty phase already!

I agree with you about America. Very very sad. That old harlot had daughters and they are alive and well, unfortunately, in America. All you hear is happy holidays. I always say merry Christmas. And if it offends anyone, they can move to a place that doesn't believe in Christmas and Christ. Oh wait. That's America now. Have to be politically correct. :banghead:

America as a place that doesn't believe in Christmas???! Say what? I've spent time in 47 out of 50 states and I assure you I have never been anywhere in this huge wonderful country where the overwhelming majority of folks didn't celebrate Christmas.

Its not political correctness to be aware that a minority of our fellow Americans don't celebrate Christmas. Can't see why that could possibly bother anyone. How I was raised anyway, its just plain polite to include-- not exclude..To make folks feel welcome--not to treat them as alien or lesser because of whatever beliefs they didn't have in common.

The greatest strength of the United States America is our democracy. Though surely flawed and of course imperfect, ours is the longest continuous democracy the world has ever known..a remarkable achievement every American should be proud of. In part because the majority of us came from a background where we were once a minority of one type of the other--political or religious or ethnic, etc.-we have understood that protecting the rights of the minority has always been core to our democracy, and our democracy has endured because we've honored that principal.

Hey CiI I know what you mean. During the murder trial of Caylee Marie I was amazed at how many people cared about that little Angel. Like you said, they came from all over the world. It is a good group isn't it, I'm very happy to be part of this group!

December weather here... quite unusual - we had 29 degrees last night and a high of low 40s thru the weekend! PLUS low snow on Friday!! I know I shouldn't be happy we will have snow, but we rarely get it here, so it's nice to see once in a while! :loveyou:

Neesaki, I really not looking forward to Christmas, at least not what it has become. Grown people fighting over things that don't really matter. Total rebellion and greed over things that will never fill the void in their lives. Many times I think America is the harlot, the Mystery Babylon spoken of.


I really needed that. Again life was so different back then.

Over the last few years, I have tried to pinpoint why / when I started dreading Christmas each and every year. This has not always been the case, For most of my life I always loved Christmas and looked forward to it.

I think it has much to do with my son being grown now. It was so much fun when he was a boy.
Maybe the rest is just my own not so positive feelings toward my family of origin, and the endless expectations they have. Oh we'll, I don't want to be a whiner I'll shut up now.

Thanks for your thoughts. I respect your view. I am grateful I grew up here too. And I suppose I have been in most of our United States, including Alaska but not Hawaii. I may be a bit older than you. That may be the reason for the difference in view. This has been the greatest county on earth but it has gone downhill the last several years from what it once was. I would readily defend the USA and our rights to differing views. Aside from this statement, I won't get on a soapbox either, discussing religious rights or political rights. This is still a free country, as yet. Merry Christmas! :seeya:

I am sorry. How could I forget the Golden state? . Cannot believe a temp of 29 there. yikes! A wooly worm? I had to ask a Hoosier native when I first moved here. LOL. It is a fuzzy caterpillar. The story goes that if they are all black, it means a severe winter. If they are brown, a mild winter. And if they are striped you will have periods of very cold and mild. All I see are the solid black ones. Most winters here I have seen the brown or the striped. I guess I will find out soon enough. We have a winter storm warning for this weekend.
