Wrapped a few presents and got my tabletop tree up. My tree skirt I have had for 30 years finally rotted. Went to Publix and got my dogs a ham. That was my day.

Got your dogs a .... ham ?!? :giggle: :floorlaugh:

That's so sweet, buying your dogs their very own ham. :)

My dog loves cheese, to the point that he knows when I'm opening the cheese drawer in the frig. He runs over hoping to score some, lol. Of course he also loves chicken, beef, ham, bacon, carrots, etc., etc. ......... Then there's the time I was eating dill pickles and he came over wanting some, I didn't let him have any because I didn't know if they'd be good for him. Something tells me he wouldn't have really liked them anyway, lol.

We went to our first Catholic Mass today, really enjoyable. I haven't been to church in at least three years.

Then tonight we watched "From Hell" with Johnny Depp. It's about the Jack the Ripper murders, and gives a different theory on who was behind them. Quite interesting, got me to thinking.

That's so sweet, Kensie! While I was staying at my daughter's, helping after baby #2 was born, I was so meat-deprived in their vegetarian household. When the man in my life sent me a big shipment of gourmet meats, I piled pastrami on a plate, called the dogs, and we had a happy meat feast together.

Merry Christmas to you and your Furchildren!

At 1 o'clock this morning msnbc had Maricopa extended stay jail on. That is no picnic either. One man in solitare was literally going nuts from loneliness. They have some pretty tough women in there too, waiting for sentencing!!! The women were marching in a chain gang. Some were DP. cases. The men with all the tattoos make me sick! what creeps.
Many Ohio schools closed because of icy roads. Thankfully our end is up to 35!! ice melted. next 3 days low20's...:banghead: :loveyou:

Who ever lives in the areas of ice and snow, please drive careful. 20 car pile up in NY and 50 car pile up in PA last night. It does not look bad here until you actually step out onto a driveway, side walk or street. They are just one big sheet of ice and sanders have not come around. 1st winter mess always seems to bring many accidents.

Good morning my friends! We got 8" of snow in very Northern Delaware and Philadelphia area. We were supposed to get a dusting . Well, it was a winter wonderland. For some reason, it was really hard to get online and my texts and emails could not be sent. I have no clue why. So I started reading Jodi Picoult's new book, "The Storyteller". Next thing I know it is 1:30 in the morning! Nothing like a good book when you are snow bound.

I went to see my son in FL as I needed to take care of some things down there with him. He has been sober now for a year and I am so happy to say I have my son back. He is the son I knew.... I don't know when they changed the seats on an airplane, but I was in agony getting off that plane. They are the most uncomfortable seats. I guess they want ppl with bad backs to fly first class.

It rained the entire time I was there with torrential downpours. I had to up my medicine as I woke up the next morning unable to stand straight. Ugh. The Valium makes me totally loopy which is what I take for really bad muscle spasms so that was not an option. So it was back to steroids no pun intended. Ugh. It at least allowed me to take care of the business with my son.

An interesting side note. Do you all know what a marriage enhancer is and does? I did not. I was standing watching the herons at the water area/fountain sprays at the hotel in the parking lot. A man was watching them as well. He walked over and started talking to me. He was there to pick up his team of fellow marriage enhancers. He asked me why I was there yada yada and I told him. I asked him what a marriage enhancer does. He informed me that they do couples sex therapy. OMG. He asked me how I relaxed, what I did to care of myself. I told him I liked the beach and riding horse before I became disabled and that I got my hair done. Well that is not what he meant by those questions!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG. I am not a prude, but seriously!

Once I got home, I spent the next 8 days in bed in horrific pain. But the trip was worth it minus my marriage enhancer free parking lot consultation. :D

Zuri,

Live and learn. Marriage enhancer, eh. I guess in that line of work you are not embarrassed to approach strangers and ask personal questions. I think he might of gotten a big GET LOST from me.
Hope you feel better soon.

I have 4 aging indoor dogs. I cook a chicken every other night for them to have with their dog food. At bedtime, the dogs each get a slice of cheese.
All my dogs are rescued dogs. The oldest is 14 and the youngest is 9.
Every once in a while, I go to McDonalds and get them double cheeseburgers.

I don't eat chicken, I don't eat ham and I don't eat at McDonalds.

I have never cooked a ham so I hope it turns out good. The darn ham was almost $35.00.
