That Daisy Mae on this thread has me hooked on the Lifetime Movie Network Channel on Saturday nights. There are fascinating programs about the afterlife and reincarnation, hauntings, ghost sightings etc. Fascinating TV, but not very Christmasy. :gthanks:

Blah...I don't get LMN or the Discovery ID channel (my sis keeps raving about this station)....so bummed!! Both would be right up my alley. I'm jealous.

Darn ... I missed them all as I went shopping and got hooked on Pawn Stars when I got home!

Another favorite Christmas movie of mine: Elf with Will Ferrell. it's what I call a "feel good" happy type of movie. This is a great clip with some of the best highlights from the movie. It's just so cute and makes me laugh :floorlaugh:

Another clip : "Elf" burp (I know, it's silly :giggle:)

"One Magic Christmas" with Mary Steenburgen, an oldie but goodie if you're a little old fashioned like me ;)

P.S. Why this says "horror trailer" is beyond me. :dunno:

Is it obvious I'm having a severe attack of insomnia tonight? Anyway, another favorite Christmas movie of mine : "It Happened One Christmas" with Marlo Thomas, Wayne Rogers, Orson Welles as Henry F Potter, and Cloris Leachman as the guardian angel. This is a remake of / slightly different take on, "It's a Wonderful Life" . Though it's not the original, it's very well done, very charming, and I've always loved it. It's unfortunately hard to find. Looks like now, it's available to watch on YouTube. :)

Has anyone had any trouble with UPS deliveries this week. A package went out to be delivered to my home on the 17th, 2nd Air, so it was to arrive on the 19th according to the tracking info. Then the 19th comes and it says it is delayed a day, so the 20th the status said it was on the truck out for delivery. Then that evening, when the delivery did not arrive, I check the status again and it states EXCEPTION, delivery rescheduled but with no new date. So, I am assuming my package to a joy ride on the 20th only to brought back to the facility that packed it for delivery on the truck.
The complaints I am seeing on the UPS FB page are numerous and some people are waiting for medications that are temperature sensitive, others are waiting for perishable, and some have had the celebrations ruined because no gift were delivered and their celebrations were scheduled for the weekend. Lots and Lots of discourage, angry and disappointed people.

Yes. Well mine came FedEx fastmail?? After the due date it was listed as N/A. I finally received it 4 days past it's promised delivery date. I think the weather is slowing them down because it covers a vast area. I also ordered something from Kohl's over a week ago that was guaranteed delivery by 24th. I received a notice this morning that they are just getting ready to ship it UPS. So I guess that will not be here by Tuesday. It could be they are overwhelmed with packages because many people find it easier to order online....and safer. jmo

The weatherman said, just the other day, that the days are already getting longer by 2 seconds per day. It ain't much, but it's something.

I believe as of today the earth starts to move so the sun will appear to be moving north again. It was 75 here yesterday but we still have to get through January. jmo

I find it easier to shop online also. I hate the malls. Really, they freak me out and I will not go alone. I heard that UPS is delivering today in CT. We will see. I have no reschedule delivery date listed on my tracking, since my package went for a ride on Friday. So, I sit and wait like many others.

Are you in CT or NC now. CT was warm yesterday, as it is today. I saw it reached 63 degrees in our area, but come Christmas, it's going to cold. Brrrrr

NC resident and that is where I am now. I still own a home in CT but I am in NC most of the time. It will be 80 degrees here today.

Oh, I would be enjoying 80 degrees, but the 60's for today and possibly tomorrow will have to suffice. Wish those temps would stay until late April.

Hi Zuri, come over sometime, I'll show you some real ones. My "family" visits often. On Halloween which my son loved Amy was ready to take Johnny out
two pictures Joe had done in school flew right off the wall. Nails intact, frame ready to hang, just dropped right off. We figured he went with them!!:loveyou:

Thank you Neesski for my first smile of the day!

I need to go watch Elf. I watched Christmas Vacation for the 100th time and laughed so hard that I was crying. The laughing felt so good.

Thanks for the suggestions.
