No, you didn't. I think the side bar is for her too, but I will copy and paste her tweets on the other thread.

What thread... Don't want to miss anything. TIA

She Is Gone

You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
or you can open your eyes and see all she has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she's gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back

or you can do what she would want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

~David Harkins

:candle: :rose: :rose: :rose:

And for our princess :goldcrown: tonight:

Silent tear

Each night we shed a silent tear,
As we speak to you in prayer.
To let you know we love you,
And just how much we care.
Take our million teardrops,
Wrap them up in love,
Then ask the wind to carry them,
To you in heaven above.

Morning/afternoon all :seeya:
(I know I'm talking to myself- but I do that often :floorlaugh:)

I think we all should learn how to speak Italian next year (because I'm Italian and this way you can all understand when I talk :floorlaugh:).

So, every once in a while, we'll have some lessons.
OK?
Yes.
So, here we go (2 lessons today):

Sorry daisy- my internet pooped-out on me :boohoo:- right in the middle of a reply :tantrum:
Yesterday we didn't have the internet all day. We had some really crazy weather. It was about 40 degrees and it rained then snowed, rain then snowed.
Didn't know what it wanted to do! Yesterday, I could understand, but not today- it's sunny and 18 degrees.

:laughcry:
Meshuggener! Sounds like me :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:
(Definition of MESHUGGENER- a foolish or crazy person)

When I went to BJ's a couple of weeks ago, I picked up 2 books to read.

This book:

Empty Mansions: The Mysterious Life of Huguette Clark and the Spending of a Great American Fortune: Bill Dedman, Paul Clark Newell Jr.: 9780345534521: Amazon.com: Books

"... At its heart is a reclusive heiress named Huguette Clark, a woman so secretive that, at the time of her death at age 104, no new photograph of her had been seen in decades. Though she owned palatial homes in California, New York, and Connecticut, why had she lived for twenty years in a simple hospital room, despite being in excellent health? Why were her valuables being sold off? Was she in control of her fortune, or controlled by those managing her money?"

This woman had a gazillion $ and was a recluse who owned mucho mansions- most never lived in- and lived in a hospital room for 20 years until she died at 104 years old.
BTW- she wasn't in perfect health- she had skin cancer all over her face).
Good reading.

And this:

Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth: Reza Aslan: 9781400069224: Amazon.com: Books

I'm always interested in JC.
(This is about the historic JC, not the spiritual one.)
Also good reading (I'm reading them at the same time :floorlaugh:)

(guess I'm talking to myself again )

I am watching the movie 2012, again- on FX and suddenly I had this awful feeling of dread. It's not a good feeling and I don't like it.
Maybe because of our princess. And someone I have known for 45 years has passed away from cancer- who was 65 years old- a couple of weeks ago.
I, usually, am not afraid of death- it's a natural part of life and I say "I'm not afraid", but tonight I got scared. :scared:
It surprised me.

That is all.

A Life That Matters - Author Unknown -

Ready or not, some day it will all come to an end.

There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours, days.
All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to
someone else.
Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance.
It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.

Your grudges, resentments, frustrations, and jealousies will finally disappear.
So, too, your hopes, ambitions, plans, and to-do lists will expire.
The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.
It won't matter where you came from, or on what side of the tracks you lived.
At the end, whether you were beautiful or brilliant, male or female, even your skin colour won't matter.

So what will matter? How will the value of your days be measured?
What will matter is not what you bought, but what you built; not what you got, but what you gave.
What will matter is not your success, but your significance.
What will matter is not what you learned, but what you taught.
What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifice that enriched, empowered or encouraged others.
What will matter is not your competence, but your character.
What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many will feel a lasting loss when you're gone.
What will matter is not your memories, but the memories that live in those who loved you.
Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident.
It's not a matter of circumstance but of choice.
Choose to live a life that matters.
-------------------------------------
And for our princess:

We Must Not Weep At An End

We must not weep at an end
for there is no end.
We are not what we were.
We cannot lose what we have gained.
We have met, we have touched each other with smiles,
Exchanged unknown emotions.
We have embraced without shame.
We have met for a season,
A brief interlude in time
And so we part, the purpose done....
