For any who is interested,The View is suppose to have a story about what Jodi Arias told an investigative reporter about the killing of Travis. This is on ABC 11am est.. The show is just beginning.

The host of Deadly Sins, Darin Kavinoky and Author Shannon Hogan are on the View.
Hogan says she only has remorse for self
Remorse for being caught. By day Travis was a clean cut guy, by night freaky, kinky. Ugh
Both sides shows his humanit,

Geez this was a waste of time. I think it was to plug the show Deadly Sins.

Until these recent movies I've seen her in, from 1931 - 1934 or so, in that time period. She looks like a completely different person imo, and her personality, different as well. And some of the movies are quite good, she did quite a few with Clark Gable :heartluv: ... Do I need to say that those are my favorites ? :loveyou:

I just watched almost all of those movies in the last 12-14 hours (taking a break now, I am seeing the world in Black and White!).
Did you know she had an affair with Mr. Gable? During the time she was married to Douglas Fairbanks Jr.. From Wiki-
In 1931, she starred opposite Clark Gable in Possessed. Crawford and Gable began an affair during the production, resulting in an ultimatum from studio chief Louis B. Mayer to Gable that the affair end.

Her wiki is pretty interesting, it is like a mini-novel. Joan Crawford - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As for her being "hard", I think it was a combination of her building her image as a tough as nails lady with a bit of mental illness thrown in (not extreme, but maybe a bit of OCD or bi-polar, MOO). I used to think she was the character in Mommie Dearest, but I have read a lot of conflicting things about that so I am on the fence. Many close friends say she was nothing like Christina portrayed, but I have to think there are bits of truth in the story.
Also worth noting that she left Christina nothing in her will, so that book may have been a bit of moneymaking payback.

PS- How cute was Clark Gable in "Dancing Girl"? So young!

Tātad, sākt mācīt mums dažus vārdus un frāzes.
Sākt lēni, jo es esmu Dum-Dum. (from Google translate) :floorlaugh:

(So, start teaching us some words and phrases.
Start slow- because I am a dum-dum.)

Maybe:

"oh, no"
"I just can't look at missy's :jail: face anymore" :floorlaugh:
"good"
"bad"

":good" labs

"bad" slikti

Okay, we need a learn Latvian video. I miss my Latvian friend, just found out he is in an assisted living place, don't know if I should pop in sometime, or if that would embarrass him. He has had several strokes over the last few years.

here's one: Learn Latvian language - A simple dialogue - YouTube

Which reminds me, does anyone remember the old TV series Ozzie and Harriet? Well, I just learned something new when I was listening to XM 40's on 4, that is, that Ozzie was a band leader. I always just thought of him as Ozzie from the TV show  Anyway, I thought that was so cool.

Now I see there was a movie "Here Come the Nelsons". Think I'll try to find it :)

Did you know his wife, Harriet, sang in his band?!! I think that's where Ricky got his talents!! I saw Ricky at the Burbank airport once!! :loveyou:

I'm really wondering what happened in her life to harden her, could there have been some mental illness, etc., or, was she just a very unhappy person. Maybe she wanted Clark Gable but couldn't have him ? Idk, I do remember reading the book "Mommy Dearest" and seeing the movie, I have to believe it wasn't just an all out fabrication by the daughter.... very sad.

Just a note on Clark Gable; his wife (widow) used to come into my dad's veterinary clinic!!

Going now to check out Zuri's post on PSM thread! Thank you Zuri!! :seeya:

and then off to do some errands!

Hi Niner, there were old movies made in the 40's with Ozzie the bandleader.
Harriet Hilliard was a songstress who joined his band. The movies of the 40's were good as many were musicals with popular bandleaders. Ethel Smith was an organist who has never been equaled, Les Paul on steel guitar they dont make them like that anymore! Gene Krupa on drums, Glenn Miller band leader~oh Dear God I'm started!! Esther Williams swimming, Charlie Chan (gotta love 'em). Those were the Days!!:drumroll:

I love to read Scott Michael's Find a Death site. Here is his Joan Crawford page. Lots more there about other old Hollywood actors.

Oh THANK YOU NORE AND YESORNO AND NEESAKI for the weekend flicks!!!! :tyou:

What, you aren't going to watch football all weekend?

:floorlaugh:

OMG, the only thing I know, rather say, about football, since 1999 when I was forced to watch is this:

Their names are made up, what the heck is Teste Verde? Green testicles?!

The colors and glitter in the spandex pants are nice.

They all have tight buttocks, not bad to see.

The coaches are always smelling menus and trying to figure out if they want BBQ ribs or steaks, which is when they are really hiding what they are saying. AND, they know nothing of the digital age and taping into that ear wire and microphone or jamming it.

:facepalm::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

P.S. Finally in 2014 my ex-hubby shows me this, he finally knew I was right, dang gum it!

Thanks for the Key & Peele Merc!
Those guys crack me up :)

Just remembered another first football watching thing that I was bemused by.

Men like to touch each others behinds a great deal!

I thought, perhaps, some men friendships are more than friends. However, men do hang out more than women together, (and if you knew how much they talk about stuff even women do not talk about together you would be shocked! I have worked for all men for 18 years, it is kind of gross) so I will always wonder....

I see DaisyMae is online!!! :seeya:

BBM ~ Probably because Jenny Mc. in anti-vaccination and other "pro" stuff.

I think the Investigation Discovery people created "Deadly Sins" thanks to Jodi. :floorlaugh:

Hi Merc!!!!!!!!!

I have been haunted by PSM's death and not knowing what happened to her. I truly thought that she was recovering from her surgery and her Internet was off and she couldn't post. I really appreciate everybody's support when we found out she had died. Loss hits me very hard and I really miss her.

It has hit all of really hard.
Something I cannot understand is she had an ECG, done that
same day. Could they not tell from the cardiogram?

We heard a very loud boom here in Charleston yesterday .... and learned today it was an earthquake! 2.2

Charleston is on a fault line. Didn't feel anything in the earth.
