The media angle is that she is good looking, sex kitten, etc.. Most of this comes from the fact that she posted so many cosmetic/photoshopped pictures of herself online. The media celebrate the cosmetic.

The 48 Hours production of Jodi Arias looked nothing like her, due to camera angle, cosmetics, etc.. It was hard to believe it was the same woman who appeared in court--and not because of her lawyer-inspired glasses, hair, etc..(She also played the part re what she said and how she said it: soft enunciation, pronunciation, and so on.) Jodi wore some makeup in court, contrary to what most people believe--but it wasn't the copious amounts that she wore in photos that she posted online or the amounts that she wore in TV interviews before she appeared in court. So much of her was fake.

Jodi, like many people, was born with the genes worthy of a beautiful human being. I think she could have been a very beautiful young woman had she not believed in the cosmetics of popular culture and of artifice.

Some parts were obviously not correctly stated (my son wanted to know who I was talking to and who was I yelling at). :floorlaugh:

-That missy was abused ("physical discipline") when she lived with her parents- not proven- none of the family or anyone else came forward to state if this was true.

-Missy was diagnosed with BPD when she was young- lie. :denied:

-That she "even" threatened suicide, ( but, we know,that she only threatened suicide as a means to keep Travis close)- poor thing- pfttttttt.

-Shanna said that he never showed her affection in front of his Mormon friends, only in private- more hogwash. :denied:

I didn't like that Shanna spoke as if she knew all the details of Travis' and missy's sex life. It's just what missy has stated and, obviously, not Travis talking here or anyone else. Is she taking missy's words for truth here? Missy is a proven liar , but it seems as if Shanna believes all the bull.

Darren K's narration is kinda funny in a dark way. He is either happy that he is getting paid to narrate or he must really like his job. Any moment, I'm wondering if he will go "Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!" The dude playing Darryl looks horrible. And he wasn't a dead beat dude. I don't get why people can't accept either that maybe Travis was a normal dude who liked having sex. That's not so bad. I've known people of all religions that don't follow it to a T. He just had the horrible luck to cross paths with a killer who couldn't let go. I don't think Jodi tempted him with sex. I think she had boundary and attachment issues and could not separate physical from emotional. He was young and thought he had to live up to some perfect image. I wish for once someone would have told Travis, it's okay to be who you are and you don't have to be perfect. Maybe he would have not wanted to save Jodi or could have turned her away when she came over that day. And how does Shanna Hogan know all this stuff?

I also think it's an interesting consideration that the BMW might had been a factor in why she wanted him dead. She was losing her car to the finance company. With no credit to buy another car that would have her "stuck" in Yreka. Had she been able to get ahold of the title of the BMW her transportation problems would have been solved. Not sure if Travis ever had the car fixed or if he was making arrangements to have it fixed. Either way possession of the car would have solved a lot of problems for her and she still would have had that link to Travis. After her not paying on the car I would think he had made other plans for the car which she may not have liked. jmo

Alright, now this is seriously OT, but I got to really examining how I've been feeling lately, and had to admit that I haven't had the energy or the desire to even think about having fun for some time now. In fact, I have been feeling just terrible lately - aching muscles (some of which is due to a change in my work out, but still...) , back and joint pain and stiffness, and just feeling generally tired, depressed, and lousy. Gosh, one would think that how they feel should be so obvious to oneself :facepalm: yet for some reason it feels like I experienced some kind of revelation.

So I decided to do something about it and take a detox bath, and I can't believe I waited so long. I haven't felt this good in I don't know when, like a totally new person. :skip:

So I wanted to share this with my beloved friends here on the chance it might be of help to someone else. I'm sure most everyone is familiar with Epsom Salts baths. Well, that's basically what it is but I also added in Baking Soda, then added in some essential oils. Got a bottle of water to drink, started some relaxing music and lit a candle. Ahhhhhh....

For some specifics here is a link for anyone who might be interested. I'm sure there are other combinations one could do as well, but this one is simple and inexpensive. And it works. :seeya:

Funny you mention this. I finally made some Lavender Eseential Ool epsom salt and some shower steamers yesterday. Didn't make bath bombs or melts. Bathbombs are sort of the same as steamers. Melts add body butters, and the tub is slick enough with the few drops of Essential Oil as it is. Didn't used 2 cups of Lavender Epsom, just a huge spoon full, but it was nice. I do worry if there is any real sodium and any absorption, tried to google, but only get other home crafters info, not medical info.

Along that note, bad cold finally from boss using phone and keyboard, and, this is gross, leaving his used tissues balled up on the desk I use. Couldn't breathe all day. Tried some Essential Oils in the oil warmers, didn't have camphor oil, so used Eucalyptus. That is okay. Better yet, I had a big canister of ground clove I bought at Dollar Tree near Thanksgiving. Dumped some in a pot, added water, can breathe now with that floating through the air.

Watched Twilight Zones all day yesterday, while doing some choirs. Will get to movies asap. Wireless headphones are great, except you have to keep running to see the screen at times.

I missed it but found it this AM and am recording it. But I got the feeling it would go that way after watching the YouTube of The View w/ Kavinosky and Hogan. I ask myself why they base their characterization of Travis on a known lying killers' lies :banghead: Is it because of feminists views and desires to demean and belittle men in general? Or is it because it makes a more interesting , juicy story for them to sell, i.e., for self serving reasons. :stormingmad:

No, Travis wasn't perfect , and like almost all men we know, had a weakness when it came to sex, :tsktsk:. But I also got the impression that he had for the most part been brought down to that level by JA, that their kinky sex life was a result of her standard protocol. That's what she used on men to catch and ensnare them, get money from and use them, and to give her power over them. She's the spider and that was her web :scared:

Travis was trying to get her out of his life because he was ashamed and didn't like her influence over him and who he was when he was with her. He wasn't treating her nicely, at least in the end, because he was sick of her and was trying to get rid of her, and he discovered she was trying to blackmail him, and maybe more than that, though I guess we'll never know. Considering what she was putting him through, that doesn't make him a , IMO. I think one has to be able to look at the whole picture to see it though, not just pick and choose bits and pieces to satisfy their own needs or agendas. To me, Hogan came across as young and naive, I don't know anything about her but the thought I had was, " how is she qualified, or why does she think she's qualified to write about this?".

Yes, the BMW could have been the motive. Perhaps Jodi tried to do something with financing of the BMW that got Travis so mad. Maybe she forged his signature?

BBM I just watched that clip of The View on YouTube. Talk about over the top! IMO, Shanna Hogan did not do her research..got her info for her book second hand and just parroted what JA said. She is going to write a book about Martin MacNeill, so I imagine her appearing on the view would be a good thing for her. Color me unimpressed. I am glad Whoopi said what she did.
