I have been trying to post a link to a website(file in pdf) and have been unsuccessful to post a direct link, but just take a look at this question on the VOIR DIRE of a juror:

"2. Assuming you are a juror and the jury has found the defendant guilty, the
government has offered evidence of what it considers are the aggravating
circumstances which make the offense worse and the defendant has had
the opportunity to put in evidence of what it considers are the mitigation
circumstances that should persuade the jury not to impose the death
penalty, you have heard the lawyers final argument and the jury is again
deliberating and it now comes time to vote and you have a choice to vote
to impose or not impose the death penalty-would you always vote to
impose the death penalty?"

(run-on sentence, anyone :floorlaugh:)

How long would it take Nurmi to ask this question? :floorlaugh:

Another thing to consider. Jodi taped the call. She taped this particular call and no other call that we are aware of so how did she know what he would say on this tape??? And why tape it, why keep it.

And who gave the Helio phone to Jodi? none other than Gus Searcy himself. Gus is in there somehow. Maybe that is the betrayal Travis spoke of?

And, one thought during the night was, in the photos of Jodi checking out her new do, did she have bangs? I'm trying to remember, because in the sex that day photos, Jodi doesn't have bangs.

BBM ~ That's a tough one. Either she was going to bribe him with it; mysteriously ship to a girl Travis is dating - Mimi?; or keep it as a memento?

She does not appear to have bangs when she took her selfie after she went to the salon in Salinas.

And, yes, Gus knows something, and he did not like Travis at all, imo.

*sorry about the blown margins, i'm still learning. :)

I found this photo of missy in the car- don't know if this is before, as she is driving to Mesa or after she murdered Travis.
Can't really tell if she has bangs- doesn't look like she did to me.

We found the same pic! :websleuther:

About 3 years.

That long, huh. I was thinking it would take Nurmi about an hour- give or take a few hundred "hums", finger pointings, and such- but I"m being very conservative.

Congratulations, gramma. We love you. :blowkiss:

So glad you made it. :cupcake:

Hi YesorNo. Trivia~did you know Eleanor and Franklyn D. were cousins? How many times removed I dont know. Now that is a project! :floorlaugh: :loveyou:

Don't forget Travis a "practising" Mormon and had confessed to the Bishop. So, no I disagree. A man of religion should not be seeking a wife and sleeping around with easy booty in the meantime. That, IMO, is not normal behaviour for a man unless there are some ego issues.

True, but how often do we see religious people fall to temptations like this, of a sexual nature. Even pastors, ministers, bishops, etc., not to mention all of the politicians that often have reputations of being the pillar of the community and with families, etc. And lets not forget the world of sports, think Tiger Woods , though not sure if he was religious at all, but had a beautiful wife and family.

Then, there was 30 y/o young, single, with a healthy appetite for sex Travis. Searching for a marriage partner..... and sex starved, when he met the " worst thing that has ever happened " to him. She flaunted her sexuality and he was too weak to resist, like a lot of men. While unfortunate , they were actually living and behaving like their generation does in today's culture. Well, Travis wasn't married, at least there is that.

Maybe not normal to us, certainly not acceptable by most of "our" standards, but sadly, all too common. :( I feel sure Travis felt this way in his own heart as well, which is why he broke it off with her. But she knew his weakness, she wouldn't leave him alone, she wouldn't let him go. He never realized until it was too late, that in Jodi, he had found his own personal Demon. :(

Yes, I did know. When I was in grammar school we learned that.

Eleanor and Franklin were fifth cousins, once removed.

Here's the "project"-(everything is easy, once we had the internet- except how to work my computer :floorlaugh:)
-----------------------------------

"Eleanor and Franklin were fifth cousins, once removed. They are both descended from Claes Martenszen van Rosenvelt who arrived in New Amsterdam (Manhattan) from Holland in the 1640s. His two grandsons, Johannes and Jacobus, began the Oyster Bay and Hyde Park branches of the Roosevelt family. ER is descended from the Johannes branch and FDR is descended from the Jacobus branch."

There is a chart of all the descendants here:
(Paternal Lineage of Eleanor and Franklin Roosevelt)

Thank you, gramma :tyou: :loveyou:

:dervish: Demon- Yes, may she rot in  .

Great post, neesaki. I agree wholeheartedly with you. :seeya:

"🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" is just a term. Travis was not perfect but no one is. It's too bad no one could of stopped Jodi. Poor Travis needed a restraining order.

Sadly, people get restraining orders every day, only to be murdered soon after anyway. nothing was going to stop Jodi. She has the mind of a serial killer. One way or another, his fate was sealed. She makes me sick! <modsnip>.

Thank you sofiebelle for the well wishes!! :seeya:

Possibly...it's been in rerun for years :) I first watched it years ago...Original air date= 09/26/2004 ---Robert Goren's insights are amazing as always in this episode.

BTW--Hubz is a huge tennis fan and player so I get the Aussie Open thing (& every "Open")--problem is, we get it in the middle of the night and we HAVE to stay up to be able to watch it with the time difference.

:gday: Didn't "see" where you are from, but the Tennis Channel replays the late-night matches the next day! That way you can watch what you missed the previous day! Just a thought!

 hi everyone!!
