Wishing my panda twins a very happy birthday today! They are ONE year old. There are lots of birthday photos here: www.zooatlanta.org/
They each got a yummy frozen birthday cake with goodies in it, fresh bamboo on their cake and decorated boxes to play with.

Oh how precious, they are so adorable!

:gaah: For gods sake I hope they just put her away! Defense is counting on many people forgetting a lot.
hope they chit her a brick and remember all the important parts. I thought she was the one who wanted
the death penaltyI am also afraid of her defending herself. She may be using this as a ploy. For gods
sake people go to college and law school to learn the law. Talk about a narcisist!! Law should be breaking
in a Public Defender right now.~I gotta tell you! when I printed the last sentence, I accidently printed
pubic instead of public.... should have left it that way.:loveyou:

ILIKE - I too had to go thru rigamarow when my mother died in Latvia. The California State Franchise Board kept sending me "YOU OWE" $$ notices, as she put my address for her BofA checking account. I sent them her death certificate, which of course was in Latvian, as this is where she died, and even translated it for them; but they kept calling, and I finally gave them the address of the cemetery where she will be buried... my brother (in Latvia) still has her ashes; so we (sister & brother here in U.S) and my sister in Sweden will be going there in 2016 to bury her. Also to help my brother celebrate his 70th birthday. It took us 5 years also to bury my Dad there... :blushing:

Anyway - I finally straightened them out!! :skip:

Summer is definitely here!! 90 today - and at least 65 at night!

Noticed YESorNO not here lately - darn internet....

Bernia, I took care of my dad and dealt with the IRS because of a claim for back taxes. You have no legal obligation for his taxes or medical bills. Your mother did because they were married, that is why they went after him thought her. It took me many years even after calling and send his death certificate, they'd call and send mail. Each time I told them he was still dead, and they asked for his address so I gave them the cemetery and plot number. One man was shocked and told me that "this is a graveyard" and I told them yep, now leave me alone.

I would want to know where my father was going to be placed, and I'd go over the woman's head. Maybe if you call your congressman he'd be able to help.

Washington state also has Ombudsmen and they may be the next step to help you get your dad some help.

www.dshs.wa.gov/dbhr/ombuds.shtml

And as for boytoy? he'll have his own hell to go through one day.

Thanks for the info!!!!!! It just might come in handy.........

I think the defense is counting on people forgetting a lot of stuff. I can't even remember the last date/month of the trial to tell the truth... How long has she been cooling her heels now? 6 months or more?

I'm glad dh and I aren't the only ones that hasn't buried or sprinkled our loved ones ashes. My MIL died in 2011 and she still sits in my wardrobe. I've dropped her twice on my foot.

I find it hard to believe that people can't figure out if you send them the death certificate that shows the person is dead that they'll still call and mail you the same damn things over and over again....but then again there is the IRS and the VA,

Did giving the the info that she's going to be buried outside of the US finally make them stop hounding you?

If the trial starts in September, it will be 16 months.

My county kept calling my husband for jury duty for years after he died. I sent death certificates -- didn't make any difference. Wrote them a note saying I'd dig him up and bring his body into court if they wanted him that bad -- still didn't make any difference. Finally just started ignoring their notices and for some reason that was the end of it.

Finally a Minute Entry is viewable to the public, it deals with the amicus brief lol:

http://www.courtminutes.maricopa.gov/docs/Criminal/072014/m6388989.pdf

A motion for deposition will be heard at the next hearing (7/30), hope Jen is allowed in for this so we can get some tweets. How do you argue to depo someone who writes what's in that amicus brief? Holy cow.

I couldn't follow what's in that Minute Entry at all. Looks like they want to remove it from the file (don't know what to call it) but then they also want to depose -- somebody. Very confusing. Need one of our legal eagles.

Re: the Minute Entry, If I understand it correctly, the earlier motion to "intervene with newly discovered withheld evidence" is not being allowed because it was improperly filed by someone in the public. Anyone know who claimed there was evidence withheld and filed it themselves ? I know of some evidence that was withheld, but it was all evidence against JA. :gaah:

Then there is the motion for deposition, supposedly they found at least one witness for the :liar: defendant :jail: . I can't begin to imagine ... .

And, the defendant :jail: has some obscure something or other she wants to "exhibit" on her behalf. Oh my ... :woot:
