I don't understand this judge once again agreeing to a delay when she clearly said she would not. Once again this witch JA gets what she wants.:gaah:

I am clearly responding from a sickening feeling. I don't think and then post. I am not a lawyer and not that smart either. I just reply. I know right from wrong. This murderer makes my head boil. I am not understanding JSS and I can only think JM walked away with a smile inside thinking what a joke all of this is, except for the victim he is representing.

Yes this is bad. But it has been bad since the day we all heard a young man was slaughtered in his home and then we found out it was a former girlfriend...or bed buddy, whichever you prefer. If trial is delayed then it has become a joke. I am waiting till next court date to see but I suspect JSS is caving in to the killers demands much as I suspected she would. Or at least that was my opinion during the entire first trial. Many disagree with me about that. It is only my opinion. To say she has been fair was pushing the envelope for me. No trial should go on for this long. And attorneys should be required to finish the case. And the killer should now be easily read by all.

Yep, the judge might be caving to the killer's demands. But maybe...just MAYBE...the continuance to the 22nd is so that witness JA claimed she could not meet with before the end of August can appear at least by phone. JSS said since no proof was provided that JA could not meet with this witness sooner she wanted that person in court on the phone (if not in person) at the next hearing. And that is the 22nd.

Also, it seems JM wanted to speak with MCSO officials re Jodi's claim that it was their fault she could not do things (meet with potential witness, perhaps?) in a timely manner. Sounds like JM is not willing to simply take Jodi at her word. Imagine that.

Just caught up with the hearing,I am so pizzed that she is calling Chris and Skye as witnesses.

What could they possibly say that could save her from death?

Wish we could have seen juan blowing his top with her

  • #665
Looks like she will be calling Mr. Aiken to show she will not be a danger to anyone in prison, so no DP?

  • #666
Aiken is an expert on future dangerousness? Of what? Dangerousness of prison life? Dangerousness of the convicted person, or their potential to be or not to be dangerous in the future? Maybe he is an expert on whether someone might pose no danger to society if they are ever set free. That might be why Jodi wants him to testify; I can think of no other reason other than an attempt to persuade the jury that she had to do what she had to do with Travis but is basically harmless to anyone else. I mean, why else would she want him as a witness? If he provides an honest assessment of JA his testimony would do nothing but harm her case.

I so AGREE!!! Triple Thanks to this post.

I know a lot of people keep saying she is just being careful and trying to ensure no appeals, but there is a limit to how much BS a judge should allow and IMO she just does not have a strong enough back bone for the likes of Jodi.

#jodiarias filed a motion under seal she says if he's allowed to withdrawal she will give up representing herself"

Still trying to manipulate. JM will fix her, IMO. Poor Nurmi probably won't be able to get rid of the monkey on his back.

"Jen's Trial Diaries @TrialDiariesJ · 7s

#jodiarias wants personal files of Detective Flores"

Personal files?? There's the files on record- aren't they good enough? Wonder what's she's up to. Not the "shot first" baloney that the ME at first stated?

This is getting messy.

This testimony would harm her, IMO. Because when she was interviewed by Troy Hayden after she was found guilty, he asked her something like would she ever do this again. Can't remember his exact question. She said YES, if she was abused again. That will come back to bite her. Will have to look at interview again. I think Troy is with Fox in Phoenix. This girl this everyone is abusive.

Can't, don't, will never feel sorry for Nurmi after the way he presented her case.

Well that was a window into Juan vs Jodi and he was calling her out! Jodi was giving it right back #jodiarias

Isn't there ANYWHERE that we can watch this?? No You-Tube??? :please:

So reading about James Aiken, he testifies about how dangerous prison is. Well that's it. Lets all have a pity party. JA shouldn't go to prison because she might be in danger? I tend to think those hands of hers would put others in danger. We can fix that. Put her on death row.

Totally agree!! Put her on death row, and no one will bother her... in general population (LWOP) - maybe?? naw - I don't think so - she'll be running the book club, recycling program, etc. etc...

:gthanks: geevee for posting the tweets!! :seeya:

We already know from her own mouth that Arias can be a danger in future. She warned those who would "attack" her. We know how broadly she views attack. Paranoid.

Another statement she made in a television interview, this one by Mark Curtis on May 22, 2013, is that she feels betrayed by the jury. The jurors followed their conscience & reason. She had no meeting of minds with them, no covenant, no promise. What in smoky hell is she talking about! We could speculate that she felt she had conned them and was disappointed. So it is a bit surprising that she is willing to give up voir dire of her new jury, if only she can send Nurmi packing. I would have thought she would want to be the discriminator-in-chief. You can stay. You go.

Im wondering about something....

Was it not already agreed to that Jodi would be her own attorney?

If that was requested and granted, then shouldnt that be the end of it.
Shouldnt the judge be able to just ignore Jodi's new "threat of not being her attorney if Nurmi gets to leave".

So, what I am thinking is let Nurmi leave, and if Jodi wants to go sit in corner and not call witnesses or participate in jury selection, then isnt there some sort of established ruling that could still let the trial continue without her particpation because its already a done deal that she asked for and was granted her choice.
If she wants to use that choice to sit in a corner, then so be it.

She will be allowed to change her mind because the judge knows that saying you want to represent yourself and actually doing it are very different things. But the judge has told her she can only change her mind ONCE lol.

  • #677
In one of her interviews, she said that she wanted death over life in prison....so why is she now trying to change that at all? If she was sincere about that she would just let chips fall where they may.....not so with her....she is a frigging enigma ( I almost typed enema, lol.)

I always respond from my point of anger. You remembered the interview better than I did. But it's out there and no reason for JM not to use it against her.

Yes. And we can have total faith in what the judge says. Didn't she also say no more delays?

  • #680
Herein lies the problem. The judge should have made it perfectly clear that if she is granted her choice of wanting to be her own attorney, there is no going back and changing mind before, during, or after the proceedings.

I predicted a couple weeks ago that Jodi would try to change her mind once she realized how bad she will do. I never expected she would try to change her mind before we even get started. This is BS. I think the judge is not doing something right. I dont know what, but this crap should not be happening right now is all I know and it should have been prevented somehow.
